Chapter 99: Let's Just Kiss
When they got to the apartment, Frederick shrugged off his coat and tossed it onto the sofa.
"I'm gonna change," Charlotte said softly.
Frederick shot her a knowing look and then turned to Chloe and Ethan. "Make yourselves at home!"
But Chloe dragged Ethan around, checking out everything.
She ran her fingers over the piano and exclaimed, "Frederick, you're so generous! Did you have this piano flown in? And the place looks different from before."
Frederick grabbed a bottle of red wine and four glasses from the wine cabinet.
He poured the wine slowly, then smirked at Ethan. "It's all Charlotte. She loves decorating and making the place cozy."
Chloe looked a bit envious.
Frederick really treated Charlotte well!
Ethan, on the other hand, felt uneasy.
He had insisted on coming, but the moment he stepped into the apartment, he felt out of place. The whole place screamed Charlotte, reminding him that the woman who had loved him for four years was now with another man.
He grabbed a wine glass and downed it in one go.
Frederick swirled the wine in his glass, feeling pretty pleased with himself.
Just then, Charlotte came out in light pink loungewear.
She was about to cook, so she casually tied up her hair, revealing a particularly attractive part of her neck.
Frederick stared at her for a long moment before saying, "Just make something simple. Don't listen to Chloe; she's always on a diet. No matter how much you make, she'll only eat a little."
Because of the kidnapping incident, Chloe always felt guilty toward Charlotte.
"Charlotte, I promise I'll eat everything you make," Chloe said softly.
Charlotte gave a faint smile and headed to the kitchen.
Frederick put down his glass and followed her.
He closed the door, and as Charlotte was looking for ingredients in the fridge, he pinned her against it.
"What's up?" Charlotte asked softly.
Frederick looked down at her, then suddenly nuzzled her neck, his voice husky. "You've taken off your makeup and changed into this outfit; you look so young."
His warm breath made Charlotte feel a bit ticklish. She lightly pushed against his shoulder. "Guests are still here. Could you entertain them for a bit?"
Frederick nibbled lightly on her nose.
What guests? They were clearly rivals in love!
Charlotte was helpless against his advances, so she wrapped her arms around his neck and stood on tiptoe to kiss the corner of his mouth.
"Just one kiss," Charlotte murmured.
Frederick was so attractive that she easily got into the mood.
Charlotte's face turned red.
Frederick had already been teased in the car, and now with the beauty in his arms, he couldn't hold back. He gripped her slender waist and huskily coaxed, "Let's kiss a few more times."
He lifted her onto the kitchen counter and held the back of her head as he kissed her.
Frederick got excited, kissing her from different angles, but it never felt like enough. At this moment, he particularly resented Chloe and Ethan in the living room!
Charlotte still had some sense left. Blushing, she said, "You've been in here a long time. Go out quickly."
Frederick held her, his eyes showing a mature man's charm. "Charlotte, how am I supposed to go out like this?" He looked down at his pants, indicating how unpresentable he was now.
Blushing, Charlotte whispered, "Just say you're going to take a shower. Walk quickly, and no one will see."
Frederick laughed meaningfully. "Are you really willing to let me suffer like this?"
Charlotte wasn't willing; she could sense his strong desire.
Just as she was about to comfort him, the kitchen door opened, and Ethan walked in.
When he walked in, Charlotte and Frederick were still embracing each other, both displaying a deep yearning for each other and lost in the intensity of the moment.
