Chapter 877 Sienna: Yes! We Said We Were Just Playing 2
Bruce grabbed his phone, scrolled through it, and then deleted the chat history.
Sienna could tell he was very protective of that girl.
"It's your choice! I'm not going after her, Bruce. You're overthinking this," she said softly.
Bruce casually tossed his phone aside, then pulled off his towel and started getting dressed, clearly ready to leave.
Their relationship had reached its end, and there was no need to pretend anymore.
He didn't bother to hide while dressing in front of her. After all, they had shared a bed for two years and were so familiar with each other that there was no need for modesty.
Besides, he had a new girlfriend and didn't care to hide or explain it to her.
Sienna continued painting her nails.
Once the nail polish dried, she said softly, "You don't need to leave. I'll sleep in the guest room. I'll move out in the morning."
Hearing this, Bruce frowned. "We've been together for so long. I wouldn't be so stingy as to not give you an apartment. You can keep living here."
Sienna leaned back on the couch, lazily saying, "I'll eventually get a new boyfriend. I don't have the habit of bringing him to my ex's place. Even if you don't mind, I do."
With that, she went to the guest room.
As she closed the door, she leaned against it, taking a deep breath.
How could she not feel anything?
Even though they had agreed it was just for fun, to stay together if it worked and part ways if it didn't... they had been together for so long, and women are emotional creatures.
Besides, she really liked him!
Knowing the man she liked had a new girlfriend was uncomfortable.
But Sienna wasn't going to beg him. Especially since the new girl was so much lower in status than her, she wasn't going to stoop to fighting over a man. There were plenty of men in the world; she could let this one go.
Outside, Bruce took off the shirt he had just put on and went to the master bedroom to put on a robe.
When he lay on the bed, the soft pillow was filled with the scent of Sienna's hair.
She liked using lemon-scented shampoo, and he found the smell pleasant.
Bruce thought about his relationship with Sienna. They got along well, with similar family backgrounds and values.
The only problem was that after being together for so long, he had no desire to marry her.
But Freya Stewart was different.
She was interesting, told jokes, and had dimples when she smiled, making her look cute and bright. Several times when Bruce drank too much at the club, Freya took care of him.
Once, she got so close that he could smell her scent.
It was a familiar scent.
Her small, charming face captivated him, and he impulsively kissed her. She seemed startled, called him "Mr. Taylor", and ran away.
Bruce found her pure and adorable.
Of course, he had a girlfriend, Sienna, a stunning beauty. He couldn't just leave her for a club waitress. They never mentioned that night, but their interactions became more frequent and subtly flirtatious.
They both knew what was happening.
Freya knew about Sienna but never pressured him to break up or demanded to be with him. She continued to tell him jokes and take care of him when he was drunk, always attentive.
Over time, Bruce started thinking about marriage.
Not with Sienna, but with Freya.
But he wasn't in a rush, so things dragged on until tonight when Sienna found out. She seemed calm, and he thought she must be tired of it too, eager to move out and find a new boyfriend.
Bruce closed his eyes and fell asleep easily.
When he woke up, it was already 7 AM, and there was some noise in the living room.
He got out of bed and walked to the door, seeing Sienna having breakfast.
The sandwich looked good, and the coffee smelled great.
"Hey, make me a plate too. I'll go freshen up," he said casually.
Sienna sipped her coffee, her tone indifferent. "We broke up. I have no obligation to make you breakfast. Sorry, Mr. Taylor."
Bruce frowned. "Sienna, you never used to be this unreasonable."
Sienna flipped through the newspaper. "You never used to cheat. What, you cheat on me and still expect me to serve you? There's no such thing as a free lunch!"
Bruce nodded. "Fine, I'll eat out."
He quickly freshened up in the bedroom, changed into a new outfit, and left the house looking neat and tidy.
As he reached the door, he said somewhat ungraciously, "When you leave, put the key under the doormat."
Sienna looked up at him.
Her eyes showed no emotion. After a long pause, she said softly, "Got it."
Bruce's attitude softened. "Sorry about earlier. I was out of line. Sienna, stay as long as you need."
Sienna glanced at the newspaper, which happened to be open to his scandal.
She stared at it for a long time, then said softly, "I'll leave soon. The key will be under the doormat. If I don't leave, I'll be the other woman."
Bruce could sense some resentment in her words.
He felt sorry, but he was never one to drag things out. Since they had already had this confrontation, he wasn't going to try to make her happy. So, he nodded and left.
After he left, Sienna slowly finished her breakfast.
She then slowly packed her things.
She only took important documents. She packed some matching outfits and gifts from Bruce into a box and threw it in the dumpster downstairs.
She left the apartment in a mess, not bothering to clean up.
But she left, clean and free.
She moved back to her own apartment in the city, a comfortable place.
Once there, she slept for four hours to catch up on rest, as she had cried for half the night.
Bruce got into his car, a McLaren.
He called Freya, asking if she wanted to have breakfast together and if she had a favorite place. He would pick her up.
Women are always sensitive. In the past, he had never called her in the morning.
She knew he had confronted his girlfriend.
Maybe they had broken up.
When he picked her up, he told her he had broken up with his ex and was now single, asking if she wanted to be his girlfriend, with marriage in mind.
Freya, with her delicate features and small-town background, had secretly looked up Sienna, a top-tier beauty.
She couldn't believe Bruce would choose her over such a beauty.
But now, he was sincerely asking her to be his girlfriend.
She was both happy and shy. "Mr. Taylor, what about Miss Hawkins?"
Bruce was taken aback.
They broke up. What else was there to do?
Freya cautiously asked, "Did you end things cleanly? Any compensation?"
Bruce understood. She was worried he hadn't fully ended things with Sienna.
He recalled Sienna's words and replied somewhat harshly, "She was more eager to break up than I was!"
Freya was reassured.
She took Bruce to a historic breakfast spot.
As soon as Bruce sat down, he frowned.
The floor was littered with used napkins, and the bowls for milk had stains, clearly not cleaned properly.
But for their first official date, he endured it.
Freya didn't notice his discomfort. She excitedly told him about the place's history and said, "When I have the means, I want to open a breakfast place like this. Bruce, you could come here for milk every day!"
Bruce forced a smile.
