Chapter 577 Suddenly, Johnny's Heart Stirred!
When Lola got home, she didn't really need to hold Angelina much because Frederick loved taking care of her.
All those demands for Lola to be independent never applied to Angelina.
Frederick would always say, "How old is our Angelina? Talking about independence is way too early!"
Lola would snap back, "Leopold was about the same age! You didn't have the same rules for him."
Frederick would pause and say, "Boys need to be treated more strictly!"
Lola would just roll her eyes.
Honestly, she adored Angelina too. Johnny was crazy about her, and all the elders at home spoiled her rotten. Lola worried Angelina might end up too naive and innocent from all the pampering.
"Our kids wouldn't be spoiled!" Frederick said, holding Angelina and asking if she was scared of getting a shot at the hospital today.
Charlotte was right there, feeding Angelina some apple puree.
Lola was their first daughter, and Angelina was their first granddaughter, making her even more precious since she was Johnny's kid.
Frederick touched Angelina's cheek and smiled. "Your grandma usually doesn't serve people so easily."
He didn't even get this treatment; usually, he was the one serving Charlotte.
Charlotte gave him a side-eye. "You always talk nonsense to Angelina! You made Lola and the others so wild, and now you're spoiling Angelina."
Frederick just chuckled.
Even though he was older, Frederick still had that charm. He leaned back on the sofa and gently wrapped his arm around Charlotte's waist.
Charlotte wanted to say something but turned and saw Frederick's gentle eyes.
She let it go.
Turning back, Angelina sweetly said, "I'm not scared! Daddy took Mommy and me to eat steak, and I want to go again next time."
Charlotte immediately knew it was the restaurant she owned.
When she was younger, Charlotte would sometimes go there to play the piano.
She hadn't been to that restaurant in a couple of years, and she was surprised that Angelina liked it so much.
Charlotte couldn't help but smile.
She said to Lola, "I'll transfer that restaurant to your name someday, as a gift for Angelina."
Lola, flipping through a magazine, looked up. "Mom, Angelina is so young, and kids don't like the same thing more than five times."
Charlotte was about to speak when Frederick cleared his throat. "Just accept your mother's kind gesture!"
Lola knew that Frederick was feeling sorry for Charlotte and didn't want her to be disappointed.
Lola walked over to Frederick. Just like when she was a kid, she hugged Frederick's arm. "Alright, I'll accept it."
Frederick gently knocked her on the head. "Great!"
Frederick looked at Lola's serene face. He suddenly realized that Lola was becoming more and more like Charlotte. When she was young, her personality was very much like his, quite arrogant. Maybe it was because Lola loved Johnny deeply.
Lola and Johnny were getting along well now. Frederick felt a bit comforted.
At that moment, Kingsley came downstairs. Lola looked up, a bit surprised.
Kingsley looked slightly tired.
Buttoning his shirt, Kingsley said indifferently, "I was busy with a collaboration project, just finished it this morning!"
After speaking, he seemed a bit dazed.
Despite the company's success, his relentless busyness left him feeling empty inside.
Constantly surrounded by socialites and celebrities, Kingsley had considered marriage but never found the right person, so he immersed himself in work.
Frederick wanted grandkids but was reasonable and didn't push it. Charlotte, on the other hand, would say, "Kingsley, you seem really tense! You should take a trip and relax."
Kingsley sat down across from Lola.
He said casually, "The company is planning a team-building event, so we'll go together!"
Charlotte sighed softly.
Kingsley didn't get emotionally involved easily. The last time he liked his secretary Amara, it was a big deal.
Who knew how long it would be before Kingsley liked another woman!
As they were talking, they heard a car in the courtyard. Lola guessed Johnny was home from work.
She checked the time; it was seven o'clock, half an hour later than he said he would be.
A moment later, Johnny walked in, holding a bouquet of roses in one hand and a cute stuffed toy in the other. Angelina cheered and ran over to hug the little lamb toy, burying her face in its soft fur.
Johnny said softly, "Don't get too close, or you might get a respiratory infection."
Although Angelina was a bit disappointed, she was quite obedient.
Johnny then placed the roses in Lola's arms and said gently, "These are for you."
Women all loved flowers.
Seeing Lola's delighted expression, Frederick said to Charlotte, "I'll give you a bouquet every day from now on."
Kingsley said nonchalantly, "Johnny's quite the romantic now."
Johnny patted his pants. "Thanks for the compliment! I'll keep it up!"
Johnny patted Kingsley on the shoulder. "Want to have a smoke together?"
Kingsley guessed Johnny had something to say to him.
Kingsley smiled faintly, got up, and the two walked out to the courtyard one after the other. Frederick watched for a while and couldn't help but say, "When did their relationship get so good?"
The biggest conflict among the kids in the family was between Kingsley and Johnny.
Lola raised her eyebrows slightly but said nothing. She guessed it had something to do with what happened at the restaurant today.
Lola and Angelina left, but Johnny didn't leave immediately.
In the courtyard, Kingsley and Johnny smoked together, but Johnny only took two puffs before putting it out.
Kingsley glanced at him. "Planning to have kids, so you don't dare to smoke?"
Johnny laughed. "Lola doesn't allow it!"
Kingsley took a deep drag on his cigarette, his long fingers holding it as he slowly exhaled a thin stream of smoke. After a while, he couldn't help but laugh. "You two are so in love!"
He simply squatted on the flower bed.
Kingsley looked up at Johnny and said, "I've been quite jealous of you since we were kids!"
"Jealous of what?"
Kingsley smiled faintly and then said, "When we were kids, you seemed to have nothing, but in reality, you had everything! Dad's attention, Lola's care. Among the kids in the family, except for Sienna who was pampered, the rest of us received elite education with many demands. But Dad allowed you to sleep next to Lola every night. I wasn't even allowed to have dolls when I was a kid, but you had one since you were little."
Johnny's throat tightened.
Dolls? Kingsley had this hobby when he was a kid?
Kingsley seemed lost in his memories. After a long pause, he said, "Your relationship with Lola made me jealous. So when you left her, I was really angry. You have everything, yet you're still not satisfied."
Johnny stayed silent for a long time.
This was the first time Kingsley had opened up like this. It seemed the whole Amara situation had hit him hard. Kingsley rarely fell in love genuinely, and he just wanted to bring Amara back, but she cruelly abandoned him.
Johnny patted his shoulder without saying anything.
Kingsley smiled, finished his cigarette, and said, "Alright, it's almost dinner time. Let's head inside."
He took a few steps.
Behind him, Johnny called out, "Kingsley!"
Kingsley turned gently in the twilight. "What's up?"
Johnny took out his phone and sent a photo over.
"Nothing much! I just ran into Ralph today. He was inappropriate with Lola, so I taught him a lesson."
When he mentioned Ralph's name, Kingsley's expression changed.
How could he not know Ralph!
Ralph was Amara's boyfriend.
Johnny smiled slightly. "I think they broke up! Ralph seems very eager to get the support of a rich woman. I helped him a bit."
After saying that, he walked towards the villa's entrance.
As Johnny passed Kingsley, he patted his shoulder again.
Kingsley's body stiffened slightly. After Johnny's figure disappeared into the entrance, he took out his phone to look at the photo.
The scene was quite unsightly, with a young man lying on top of a woman, vigorously making love.
The mismatched appearances made the truth obvious at a glance.
Kingsley quietly looked at it for a while, then deleted the photo. He stood silently in the courtyard for a long time, thinking that Amara had deceived his feelings for such a person.
If Amara had explained the reason and not sold the bracelet, Kingsley might have been able to convince himself that Amara had some feelings for him, and there might have been a chance for them. However, Amara didn't do that. To Kingsley, those days they spent together felt like a dream.
Kingsley chuckled lightly. Johnny's method of revenge was truly ruthless.
Lola definitely didn't know about this.
Kingsley had no interest in telling Lola about it. He tried hard to forget the whole thing, but it seemed impossible. In the end, he almost started to hate Johnny.
After dinner, Johnny took Lola and Angelina home.
The car had only been driving for five minutes when Angelina couldn't keep her eyes open and was on the verge of falling asleep.
Johnny glanced in the rearview mirror.
He said softly, "Soothe her to sleep. I'll carry her upstairs when we get home."
Lola nodded. She gently patted Angelina, and soon she was asleep.
Lola took a blanket and carefully covered her.
Johnny adjusted the car's temperature higher and focused on driving, his expression softening a bit.
For him, the years of separation from Lola and the years she spent with Darren were also an insurmountable chasm in his heart. But because of Angelina, he let it all go.
He drove quietly. After about 10 minutes, he said in a low voice, "Tonight, let's make love in the guest room. We can't do it in the master bedroom anymore; Angelina doesn't sleep very soundly."
Lola blushed and turned her face slightly. "Focus on driving!"
Johnny raised an eyebrow.
Besides his urgent desire to get her pregnant, Johnny was just a regular guy. Wasn't it normal for a man his age to want sex four or five times a week? Twice a night was pretty standard too.
Lola's needs weren't as high as before.
But he remembered that day when he was on a business trip, in the bathroom, she also enjoyed the feeling of making love!
Johnny glanced sideways in the rearview mirror at Lola, but he could only see her profile. She seemed to have done something to her hair recently. The slightly curled long hair framed her small face, making her look quite youthful.
The night was enchanting, and Johnny's heart unexpectedly stirred. While he had always liked Lola and knew that affection in relationships was common, those genuine heart-fluttering moments were rare.
Yet, at this very moment, he felt it profoundly, and his sudden, intense feelings for Lola took him completely by surprise.
The luxurious black car slowly came to a stop.
Lola helped him carry Angelina out of the car. Johnny walked ahead, and Lola followed, wrapping her scarf tighter. It was quite chilly at night.
Since they didn't eat at home, the servants had taken a break and were in a particularly good mood.
At this moment, the servant was very attentive. "Mrs. Flores, would you like something to drink?"
Lola shook her head and was about to say something, but Johnny spoke first, "No need!"
He added, "Prepare a late-night snack at ten."
The servant smiled and agreed.
She looked at Angelina and couldn't help but say, "Angelina looks so sweet when she's asleep."
Johnny also looked down. Angelina really liked today's toy; she was still holding onto it even in her sleep!
He gently carried Angelina upstairs.
Bobby suddenly appeared and barked.
Lola picked it up and gently soothed it. As Johnny walked upstairs, he said, "You seem to love Bobby quite a bit now."
Lola could hear the underlying meaning in his words. But she didn't bother to argue with him.
Johnny was clearly in a good mood.
Johnny turned on the lights as he went upstairs. In the bedroom, he only turned on a small nightlight. After putting Angelina down, he gently took off her little shoes and coat, letting her sleep comfortably under the covers.
In the dim light, Angelina's little face looked extremely cute.
Johnny loved Angelina dearly; he bent down and kissed her.
Lola came in holding Bobby.
Bobby wanted to jump onto the bed again. Lola patted his little head. "Sleep in your little bed tonight."
Bobby's eyes were filled with disappointment.
But when Lola placed it in the pink dog bed, he was quite obedient, lying there motionless. And his fur was sleek and shiny.
Lola couldn't help but pet Bobby. Johnny watched her affection for Bobby from behind, feeling a wave of tenderness. Before she could get up, he hugged her from behind, resting his chin on her neck and whispering, "It listens to you well."
Before Lola could respond, he spoke again in a low voice. "I can listen to you too! Lola, you can have me any way you want."
As he spoke, he kissed the back of her neck.
The light was dim, the night was gentle, and the atmosphere was particularly intimate.
Lola turned her head to look at him. "Do you really want to make love?"
"Yes!" Johnny never felt ashamed to admit his desire for her.
He enjoyed doing such things with Lola. In the past, he liked it when she took the initiative, but now he preferred to be more dominant.
In his early thirties, Johnny was much more experienced in bed than before.
In that position, Johnny kissed her intermittently until their desire was fully aroused. Then he picked her up and walked out of the bedroom.
Lola was still a bit concerned. "Angelina might not be sleeping soundly."
Johnny kissed her lips, his voice hoarse. "Bobby will keep her company!"
