Chapter 920 Bruce, Let's Get a Divorce!
Sienna had stopped expecting anything from Bruce.
It seemed like Bruce cared about her, but his meetings always took precedence over her.
Thinking back, it was only during the time he was trying to win her back that he was serious, willing to temporarily set aside his work.
But wasn't that during the Taylor Group's PR crisis?
Sienna chuckled softly, even shedding a tear.
Of course, their marriage itself was a PR stunt. How could she have forgotten? How could she have thought he truly loved her?
Just because Bruce climbed over the wall to see her at the Hawkins Mansion.
Just because of the sweet nothings he whispered, just because of those few moments of tenderness?
Over time, it became clear that Bruce's heart was only in his career. Even the fiery Freya in his life was just another fleeting spark.
Maybe Bruce knew how to be a husband, but he wasn't meant to be loved.
Loving him would only bring pain.
Sienna didn't change her decision because of Bruce's attitude, but she no longer wanted to share the news of her pregnancy with him.
She met with an agent abroad, paid an $80 million breach of contract fee to the production company, and recommended a suitable newcomer to them.
Thanks to Sienna's careful handling, the matter didn't cause a huge uproar, and she still maintained a good reputation in the industry.
But Sienna didn't return home.
She chose to have the baby abroad, maybe bringing the child back when they were two or three years old.
By then, her relationship with Bruce would be over.
She quietly took care of everything on her own.
A week later, Sienna went to Vienna, bought a beautiful little villa, and hired two nannies from back home to take care of her during the pregnancy.
After everything was settled, she still hadn't heard from Bruce.
Bruce showed up at the filming location two weeks later, wanting to surprise Sienna with a visit.
But when he arrived, he couldn't find her.
The crew looked at him in surprise and asked, "Are you Sienna's husband?"
Bruce confirmed he was.
The person shrugged, "Sienna left the project for personal reasons. Didn't she go back home?"
Sienna left the project?
Bruce immediately called Sienna's phone.
Maybe it was because he had been swamped for the past two weeks, maybe it was because he came all this way for nothing, maybe it was because she hadn't contacted him, or maybe it was because she seemed to treat her career so lightly. His tone wasn't great.
"Sienna, you left the project and went back home without telling me?"
"Why didn't you come home?"
"Where are you? I have to fly to Toronto next, so I might not be able to come back. We'll talk when I return."
Sienna was sunbathing.
She had just finished a prenatal check-up.
The doctor said she showed signs of a threatened miscarriage and advised her to take care of herself and avoid stress, so she held back her temper.
She told Bruce she was in Vienna.
Sienna wanted to see if Bruce would still criticize her.
As she expected, he was very unhappy. "Sienna, is your career a joke to you? Why did you give up the role and go to Vienna?"
Sienna was silent for a moment.
She asked him, "Aren't you going to ask what happened? Aren't you going to ask why I gave up the role? Do you really think I'm that frivolous? If you do, then let me tell you now, Bruce, let's get a divorce!"
Bruce stared at his phone, doubting his ears.
He knew things had been a bit cold between them, but not to the point of divorce.
Sienna was disheartened.
She said quietly, "I married a person, not a father to control me! Bruce, I'll send you the divorce papers. Just think of me as being willful, as being irresponsible. That way, we can get this over with without any burdens!"
Bruce gritted his teeth, "I won't divorce you!"
