Chapter 544 Will We Have Children?
Lola was shaking like a leaf.
She dropped her gaze, her eyes all misty, looking like a lost puppy.
Johnny just wanted to make her happy, but seeing her like this, he felt like he was losing his mind!
Caught up in the sweet agony of pleasure, Lola almost forgot where she was, almost forgot everything; all she could think about was Johnny!
Things finally settled down.
Johnny leaned in close, kissed her soft earlobe, and whispered in a raspy voice, "You got all sweaty!"
Her skin was slippery.
Lola was still catching her breath, her eyes unfocused.
Johnny couldn't resist kissing her again.
Their lips and tongues tangled, and after what felt like forever, she finally came to her senses, gently pushing against his shoulder and murmuring, "Johnny."
"I don't care if you're sweaty!" He pressed his lips to hers, kissing her gently and patiently. After a few minutes, she couldn't take it anymore and arched her body to meet him!
The night was tender and romantic.
Even though they didn't go all the way, he still made her feel amazing.
In the morning, Lola woke up.
Johnny was already gone. The hotel room was quiet, and Lola noticed a velvet box on the pillow.
It was small, square, and super fancy.
Lola picked it up and opened it.
Inside was a diamond ring, about 6 carats, perfectly cut and sparkling.
Lola stared at it for a long time.
She slipped it onto her ring finger, and it fit like a glove.
She lay back down, holding up her hand and admiring it, falling more in love with it by the second.
She grabbed her phone and called Johnny.
He was probably in a meeting because the call went to voicemail, but a Facebook message popped up right after: [Do you like it?]
Lola didn't hold back: [I love it.]
Johnny smiled on the other end and replied: [As long as you love it.]
Knowing he was busy, Lola didn't bother him anymore.
She hugged the pillow and rolled around on the bed for a bit, thinking about last night, blushing and her heart racing.
Johnny in bed was something else. But she liked it.
It's unrealistic to think a man and a woman together wouldn't have sex at all; she enjoyed those moments with him.
Lola had planned to stay a few more days, but a case at the law firm needed her attention, so she headed back to Syeattel that afternoon.
Johnny was bummed but didn't push her to stay.
That night, he sent her a Facebook message. It was a photo of the night view from the hotel's floor-to-ceiling window, capturing the neon lights of Boston. He added a caption: [It's pretty lonely here without you!]
After wrapping up her work, Lola went back to the Hawkins Mansion.
She looked at that Facebook post and giggled for a long time, just as Frederick walked in. He took her phone, glanced at it, and laughed. "So sweet!"
Lola snorted. "Dad, you're just jealous!"
Frederick sat across from her, took a sip of water, and said slowly, "As if I don't have it! If I didn't, where did you come from? Let me tell you, your mom was crazy about me, couldn't live without me!"
Lola took back her phone and chuckled. "Mom was just pestered by you!"
Frederick didn't argue, instead, he looked proud!
His eyes landed on Lola's finger, where the diamond ring sparkled. He paused and asked, "So, have you decided to settle down with Johnny?"
Lola glanced at the ring, stubbornly saying, "I just think it's pretty!"
Frederick looked at her. "Your mom was more honest than you!"
Even though he said that, he was pretty happy inside. Sure, there were some bumps along the way, but these two kids finally got together. Frederick drank half a glass of water and headed upstairs.
He couldn't wait to talk to Charlotte about setting a wedding date; the sooner, the better!
The next day was Saturday, and Kingsley and Sienna were at home. Around noon, Gavin showed up with Molly and Natalie for lunch. Molly's pregnancy wasn't showing yet, but Gavin was already doting on her.
Kingsley loved to tease him about it.
Gavin didn't get mad, just smiled and said to Frederick, "You know, Kingsley is already 25. It's about time he got married too!"
Frederick's eyes shifted to Kingsley.
He had always been so focused on Lola that he hadn't paid much attention to Kingsley!
It was definitely time for him to get married. Frederick immediately started thinking about finding a wife for Kingsley. If Kingsley wasn't in a hurry, his parents sure were!
Kingsley glanced at Gavin and thought, 'Really sneaky!'
Charlotte saw the little drama unfolding and smiled. "Time to eat! Gavin, make sure Molly is comfortable and sit next to her."
Gavin respected her a lot and quickly agreed. So during the meal, most of Molly's food was served by Gavin. She felt a bit embarrassed, especially since they were guests in someone else's home!
Gavin served her more food. "What are you thinking about? If you keep overthinking, I'll have Frederick and Charlotte take care of you personally!"
Molly didn't dare say a word.
Lola couldn't help but chime in, "Gavin, you really know how to bully people! Just because Molly is timid and easy to tease!"
Gavin naturally replied, "I'm just doting on her!"
Frederick felt old and out of touch, realizing he couldn't compete with the younger generation in sweet talk!
He also thought, Gavin really was Andrew's son.
Back in the day, Andrew used that smooth talk to steal his sister away.
Gavin was no less than his father.
Lola really liked Molly. After lunch, the girls went to the small flower hall to chat. Sienna, with no other skills, specialized in making all sorts of fancy drinks for everyone, no worse than those sold outside.
Molly's drink was non-stimulating, perfect for a pregnant woman.
She dressed comfortably, sipping slowly, looking delicate and gentle.
Lola watched with envy.
Were all pregnant women like this? She thought Molly looked much prettier than before.
She suddenly wanted a child! But Johnny didn't seem to want one. She needed to talk to him; if they were going to get married, they had to be on the same page, or there would be endless trouble in the future.
Lola was slightly lost in thought.
When no one was around, Kingsley came in, lightly knocking on the door.
Lola looked up. "Kingsley!"
Kingsley smiled faintly as he came in. He sat across from Lola, got himself a glass of water, and drank it slowly.
Lola watched him, sensing he had something to say.
Sure enough, after drinking, Kingsley asked, "I heard Melissa is also in Bostan. Are you okay with that?"
Lola smiled lightly. "What else can I do?"
Back then, she didn't rush to Kyro to win Johnny back, and she certainly wouldn't now.
She liked Johnny, and if he liked her back and was willing to be loyal, they could make it work. Otherwise, forcing it wouldn't do any good. Lola didn't want to test a man; that was just pointless.
Kingsley nodded. "True! Besides, a guy like Johnny can't be tied down, even with a rope. It's better to let him roam free!"
"What's this about letting him roam free!" Lola laughed. She finished her water and stood up. "Alright, I'm heading back!"
Kingsley frowned. "Dinner will be ready soon!"
Lola had already grabbed her coat. "I have a last-minute meeting with a client soon! Mr. Hawkins, being a lawyer isn't like being a CEO where you can skip work whenever you want!"
She teased as she walked to the door.
Kingsley called after her, very seriously, "Lola, you don't have to work so hard!"
Lola paused at his words. After a moment, she lowered her eyes and said softly, "Dad gave up his career as a lawyer for the family! And I really like being a lawyer, Kingsley. I don't want to give it up, even if it's hard!"
One reason she liked being a lawyer was because Frederick always felt proud whenever someone referred to her as a lawyer.
Kingsley looked at her quietly.
Lola smiled. "Alright, stop being sentimental! I'm leaving!"
Lola did go to meet a client. After a busy day, she returned to her apartment at 9 PM. She saw two missed calls from Johnny. She didn't call back immediately but stood by the apartment's floor-to-ceiling window, quietly thinking.
Maybe she really wanted to get married. She also wanted a child. Their child would be so cute.
Lola picked up her phone and sent a Facebook message: [When are you coming back? Johnny, I kind of miss you.]
He replied quickly: [Three more days!]
He missed her too!
Lola looked at the message for a long time, then put down her phone and gazed eastward.
Thousands of miles away, Johnny was over there.
Lola couldn't help but send another Facebook message: [Today Gavin brought Molly to the house. Molly's belly isn't showing yet, but she ate a lot!]
In Bostan, Johnny quietly looked at the Facebook message.
He didn't reply for a long time.
He understood Lola; her saying this clearly meant she wanted a child. But it was best if they didn't have children; he had a vasectomy!
After a long while, he finally replied: [Lunch must have been delicious.]
Lola waited for a long time. Seeing this, she couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed! But she was a woman; she couldn't just directly say, "Johnny, let's get married and have a child!"
She didn't sleep well that night. Similarly, Johnny didn't sleep either.
He kept thinking about Lola's words, considering all possibilities, but in the end, he firmly chose to prioritize Lola's safety.
A few days later, Johnny returned. He didn't tell Lola to pick him up; he went straight to her apartment in the evening and cooked dinner for her.
Lola came back early, around seven.
As soon as she walked in, Johnny pressed her against the door and kissed her. Lola whispered, "I still have my briefcase!"
He took it from her and tossed it aside. Then he picked her up and carried her to the bedroom. Her dress, stockings, and high heels were scattered all over the floor, and his white shirt also floated down.
Lola felt something was off; he seemed to be holding back a lot.
Right from the start, it was intense.
She couldn't help but cling to his neck, lightly biting his shoulder, her voice fragmented. "What's wrong with you?"
"Missed you!" His voice was equally hoarse.
He kissed her while making her feel good.
Lola lay limp on the pillow, her eyes fixed on the man above. A man's expression during passion was never pretty, somewhat fierce and twisted with emotion, but that made him even more attractive.
Lola's fingers lightly traced his nose.
Johnny leaned down to kiss her. His voice was raspy and particularly sexy. "Am I good?"
"Not bad!"
"Just not bad?" Johnny held her body and kissed her with a ravenous intensity.
After one round, Lola was exhausted!
Afterward, he went to cook, and she lay on the bed for a long time, unable to get up, thinking, 'Is this the stamina of a man under 30? It's almost inhuman! And he clearly wasn't satisfied; he would want more tonight!'
Lola thought about it and wanted to kick him out. Then she suddenly remembered, he didn't use protection.
Could it be that Johnny also wanted a child?
Lola put on a shirt and walked out. Johnny was still busy, so she hugged his waist from behind and softly said, "We didn't use protection earlier. Could we have a child?"
Johnny froze for a moment. He remembered that he had a vasectomy, so he didn't use a condom, but Lola didn't know and thought she might get pregnant.
If he told her the truth, how disappointed would she be?
She might doubt herself and even regret this relationship.
After all, if she married someone else, she would still have the chance to have a healthy child!
Johnny thought for a moment, then turned around, cupped her face, and kissed her. "We shouldn't! Today is still your safe period."
Lola asked him, "If not, are you just not going to have sex?"
Johnny smiled. "It's like we're doing this just for a child! Do you really want a child?"
Lola felt a bit uncomfortable, as saying yes now would make her seem desperate and not very reserved.
Johnny patted her head. "We just got together. How about enjoying a couple of years of just the two of us first?"
Lola thought about it and agreed.
They had just reconciled and weren't even married yet. Why was she thinking about kids!
She was simple; once she figured it out, she clung to him again, just to mess with him.
Johnny's eyes were gentle. "If you keep clinging to me, we'll go back to the bedroom for a few more rounds. I haven't had enough yet."
Lola blushed. "You're shameless!"
"If I were shameless, how would I get a wife? Besides, wasn't it you who dragged me home back then? You had intentions towards me." He pinched her nose. "You were so young and already had improper thoughts. You're amazing!"
Lola hugged his waist, looking up at him. "So are you repaying me with your body now?"
Johnny laughed.
After dinner, he carried her straight to the bedroom and closed the door.
One or two times were fine, but by the fifth time, no matter how much a woman wanted it, she couldn't take it. Lola's voice changed. "Johnny, are you done yet?"
"Just a bit more!" His handsome face was dripping with sweat.
Lola couldn't take it anymore. She hugged his neck and kissed him, softly calling out a couple of times.
Sure enough, the man couldn't hold back after hearing that.
The bedroom was filled with steamy passion. Johnny, catching his breath, lightly kissed her lips and whispered, "You're such a bad girl!"
Lola buried her face in his neck, pouting. "It hurts a little!"
