Chapter 935 Sienna, I Failed to Fulfill My Duties as a Husband
Originally, Sienna was supposed to head back to Syeattel the next day.
But then Bostan got slammed with a torrential downpour, and all flights were grounded.
Even private jets couldn't take off, so she had to stay at the hotel.
Bruce stayed with her and Will.
He was swamped with work and could've easily taken the driver's car back to Syeattel, but he'd been through this before and didn't want to lose Sienna again.
Plus, he wanted to be with her.
Rainy days in the South are super humid.
The hotel suite was constantly dehumidifying, and Sienna was lounging on the sofa by the floor-to-ceiling window, reading a script.
Little Will was being looked after by Bruce.
The six-month-old had just learned to sit up. Will sat on the carpet, looking proudly at his dad, his smile showing off his mixed heritage and looking incredibly adorable.
Bruce patted his head and then picked him up with one hand, placing him on his lap.
In the past, he really didn't have the patience for kids.
But his own child seemed endlessly fascinating, and he discovered that little Will rarely cried, which he figured was a trait inherited from both him and Sienna.
"Daddy."
Little Will grabbed Bruce's sleeve and gave him a big smile.
Bruce kissed him, and just then, his secretary Anna called to report on work matters.
After a while, Bruce said gently, "Let's leave it at that for now. I won't be able to return for the next few days, so push all meetings and engagements back by three days."
Anna was stunned.
Had Bruce changed? He used to never leave important work behind or take more than three days off.
Bruce hung up the phone.
After hanging up, he looked up to see Sienna watching him.
He smiled softly and asked, "What's up?"
Sienna said quietly, "You should go back to Syeattel if you have work. I can take care of little Will myself."
Bruce fiddled with his phone, his gaze darkening slightly. "You don't want me to stay?"
Sienna's smile faded a bit. "No, that's not it. I mean, you don't need to stay just for us. I can handle the baby on my own. I'm over 30 now, I'm not that fragile."
These words made Bruce feel inexplicably sad.
He said softly, "Sienna, it's never been about you being fragile. It's me who hasn't fulfilled my duties as a husband and father. My biggest mistake was not trusting you back then, even if I didn't know you were pregnant."
Back then, if Sienna hadn't had feelings for him, she might have chosen her career.
Then they would have been over!
It was Sienna's love that had held their broken marriage together until now.
She had endured the hardships, she had borne the burdens. How could she be labeled as fragile?
Bruce sincerely apologized to her, without any pretense, just genuine honesty.
He looked at her serene face and said very softly, "Sienna, from now on, I'll make time for our family. Please trust me one more time, okay?"
Sienna hadn't responded yet.
Little Will, in Bruce's arms, slapped Bruce's face with his tiny hands and smiled, "Daddy…"
Bruce took Will's hand away, kissed him, and pressed his face close to his.
Sienna watched them quietly.
She had come from a good background and had lived freely all her life. Bruce was the only obstacle in her life, and now he was sincerely wanting to live with her.
Originally, she had come back to divorce him, but now she was slightly wavering.
She felt sad, because Sienna remembered their past.
