Chapter 206 Charlotte, don't be so cold to me!

They dated for another two weeks.

Nothing changed.

Frederick wanted to go out, and Charlotte usually agreed, but she was always distant and calm, not like her old self.

Frederick was getting more frustrated.

He'd rather she get mad at him!

Even a slap would be better. She used to lose her temper with him all the time.

Now he realized that when she loved him, she couldn't help but act spoiled and even get physical.

Now that she didn't love him, she was polite, never causing trouble, and ready to leave at any moment.

Frederick got drunk at the club.

In the private room, it was the usual crowd, even Ethan was there.

Bradley rarely went out after getting married but came because Frederick was there. Frederick and Charlotte had helped him a lot with Lily!

Bradley patted his shoulder. "Can't handle it? I'll take you home!"

Frederick leaned back on the sofa, exhaling smoke, looking sexy and alluring.

There were young girls in the room, all eyeing Frederick, but no one dared approach him because he was famously unapproachable.

They could only admire from afar.

Bradley guessed Frederick's troubles and smiled. "With your looks, who wouldn't be interested?"

"Cut it out!" Frederick shot him a look. "Charlotte wouldn't. Bradley, I treat her so well; why isn't she moved? She used to blush just looking at me and loved being with me!"

Bradley gave a dry laugh.

Women were different from men. When they loved someone, they enjoyed it, but when they didn't, it was a chore!

He didn't want to provoke Frederick and tried to persuade him to go home. "You've had too much. Let me take you home. Don't you have a trial tomorrow?"

Frederick glanced at him again. Then he tossed his phone to him. "Call Charlotte. She should still be at the music studio. Ask her to come pick me up!"

Bradley was stunned. 'Is he serious?'

He gave a dry laugh. "Frederick, are you really drunk or just pretending?"

Frederick didn't respond, snuffed out his cigarette, and drank more brandy, clearly aiming to get completely drunk.

Bradley was in a tough spot. But after thinking it over, he decided to make the call.

Charlotte picked up.

Bradley quickly apologized, "Charlotte, it's Bradley. Frederick's had too much to drink. Can you come get him?"

Charlotte had just finished a meeting.

Charles from Bostan had given her a great project. She had just assembled a team and was set to leave for a business trip the next day, which would last about two weeks.

After Bradley spoke, Charlotte was momentarily stunned.

She knew Frederick was in a bad mood because of her. She felt a bit guilty but wasn't going to feel sorry for him anymore.

They had broken up, and this was their current relationship.

There were plenty of great girls out there. She thought that even without her, with his qualities, he could find love.

Charlotte didn't refuse.

She was leaving the next day and needed to explain things to him.

Charlotte nodded. "Alright, send me the address. I'll be there in about half an hour."

Bradley was immensely grateful. "Charlotte, you're so open-minded!"

Charlotte joked, "Stop flattering! Go home early and spend time with Lily!"

Bradley said a few things to make Charlotte happy, but after hanging up, he felt something was off. Charlotte was willing to come, but Frederick was this drunk. She didn't even ask about him!

Bradley was shocked! He used to think they were a good match, but now he wasn't so sure.

Charlotte hung up the phone. Just as she was about to turn off the lights and leave, she looked up and saw Brian standing at the door with a grim expression, staring at her intently.

Charlotte said gently, "You did well just now!"

Brian swaggered in, sat on her desk, and instead of his usual sinister look, casually asked, "Going to see Frederick?"

Charlotte nodded.

Brian frowned. "Do you like him that much?"

Charlotte was momentarily dazed but quickly regained her composure. "My personal matters are none of your concern. We agreed on that! This collaboration with Mr. Nelson is thanks to you, so I plan to give you a 30% cut of the project's commission. Don't dismiss the money; it's all part of the initial accumulation!"

Brian's eyes reddened slightly. He couldn't say a word because this woman always said things for his own good, just like his father!

Charlotte smiled faintly. "Tell my mom I'll visit her tomorrow morning."

Brian mocked her, "Oh! You still have time to see Maria. I thought you'd only be with Frederick!"

Charlotte felt like he deserved a beating!

In the end, they went downstairs together. Brian drove her BMW, while Charlotte had another car with a dedicated driver following.

She got into the car and gave the name of the club.

The driver shivered and said with a smile, "That's a great place, known as a paradise on earth!"

Charlotte smiled faintly.

She sat quietly in the back seat, looking out at the bustling streets and streetlights, silently counting the days. It had been two months since she and Frederick set their one-year deadline.

Time actually passed quite quickly.

The black car stopped at the club entrance, and Bradley had already helped Frederick out.

Charlotte saw that Frederick had drunk some but wasn't completely wasted. She understood his intentions and softly told the driver, "Help Mr. Hawkins."

The driver guessed their situation and couldn't help but comment, "Ms. Russell, you're really tolorant!"

Charlotte smiled faintly.

The driver and Bradley helped Frederick into the car.

Once Frederick was in the car, the interior was filled with a noticeable male presence, mixed with the scent of alcohol and a faint pine fragrance, which was quite alluring.

Charlotte turned her head and asked softly, "Why did you drink so much?"

Frederick leaned back in the seat.

He reached out to loosen his tie and unbuttoned a couple of buttons.

Having drunk, his skin had a slight flush, exuding a unique allure.

With the driver in the front, Charlotte feared he might lose his composure if he continued, so she quickly held his hand. "Even if you're uncomfortable, wait until we get home to change!"

Frederick stopped and turned to look at her.

Charlotte smiled faintly and looked ahead.

Frederick gently closed his eyes, as if resting after being drunk, but after about ten minutes, he suddenly sighed softly. "Charlotte, don't be so cold to me!"

The driver in the front lightly coughed.

Charlotte could only pretend not to hear!

Half an hour later, the car stopped at his villa. Charlotte helped Frederick out and let the driver leave.

Clearly, Frederick was just a bit tipsy.

He just wanted to see her.

Charlotte helped him sit in the living room and went to the kitchen to make some hangover soup. He needed it, and she didn't really want to face him. She went over the contents of today's meeting in her mind.

A familiar scent enveloped her as someone hugged her from behind.

She didn't struggle, just said softly, "Don't mess around. I'm making hangover soup for you. Bradley said you have a trial tomorrow morning! You really shouldn't have drunk this much!"

Frederick chuckled softly.

He kissed the back of her ear, nibbling on the tender skin there.

Charlotte was very sensitive there; a light nibble would make her shiver all over. He recently enjoyed doing this, as it seemed the only way to get a slight reaction from her.

After teasing her for a while, he panted lightly in her ear. "Charlotte, let's spend Valentine's Day together!"

"Valentine's Day?" Charlotte was clearly taken aback.

She had been so busy with work lately that she almost forgot the date and hadn't even thought about Valentine's Day approaching.

Frederick's hand touched a small velvet box in his pocket, and he said hoarsely, "This time, let me plan it, okay?"

Charlotte slowly poured the hangover soup. She paused and said, "I'm going on a business trip tomorrow!"
