Chapter 869 Clayton, We Will Not Have a Marriage, Only Cohabitation!

On the day they were supposed to pick up Haven, Clayton had the car ready bright and early. It was a pink Cullinan, and he was dressed to the nines.

Natalie gave him an extra glance.

"Where'd you get this car? You're not seriously planning to drive it, are you?" she asked.

Clayton lightly tapped the gas pedal and said casually, "Nah, you drive it! The color suits you perfectly!"

He often gave her gifts, and they were usually quite expensive. Natalie would accept them when she was in a good mood, but she found this car too flashy and didn't really want to drive it.

Clayton, however, refused to take it back. "If I drive this car, it's too showy," he said.

Natalie was speechless. "You know it's showy, huh?"

Considering the car's price and Clayton's appearance, she imagined that if he drove it, young women would definitely flock to him... The thought made Natalie chuckle softly.

When she laughed, she seemed much more relaxed, almost like her old self.

Clayton couldn't resist leaning in to kiss her. Natalie didn't want to, especially since the car was parked right in front of the house. He was being too blatant.

She tried to push him away, but he softly protested, "You keep pushing me away when I want to stay over at your place at night. Now I just want a kiss, and you're still not happy! Natalie, when will you finally give me a proper title?"

With him putting it that way, Natalie didn't avoid the topic.

She carefully chose her words, "Clayton, I'm not getting married again. We've broken up and gotten back together too many times; we've used up all our chances. If you want to be together again, it's possible, but I don't want to get married. Just living together... If you're fixated on that piece of paper, then we can't be together."

She was very straightforward. She couldn't give him marriage.

Just cohabitation.

To put it bluntly, it was just about taking care of each other. As they got older, they wanted companionship, and he happened to be available... She didn't love him now.

The truth is always hard to hear.

Clayton gripped the steering wheel with one hand, staring at her intently. He asked, "So what you're saying is, if we get along, we'll live together and raise the kids. If we don't, we can go our separate ways since we're not legally married, right?"

Natalie didn't deny it.

Clayton quietly gazed at her for a long time. He wanted marriage, but if Natalie insisted, he didn't want to force her.

However, he needed to secure some benefits or guarantees for himself.

He lowered his voice, "If I do well, will we have more kids?"

Natalie's face flushed. "If you want kids, have them yourself!"

Clayton was a bit embarrassed. "How can I have kids? I'm not a woman! But I can cooperate with you."

Natalie called him a jerk and tried to get out of the car.

As soon as she moved, Clayton gently held her wrist. His voice was low, "I was joking! Natalie, what I want to know is, if we live together, will it be like a normal couple? I promise I won't force you to do anything you don't like, but I hope we sleep together, not just be strangers in the same house. If that's the case, I'd rather live nearby and come over every day to take care of you and the kids."

Natalie nodded, which was as good as agreeing.

Clayton leaned in and kissed her lightly, his voice very low, "Deal!"

He said thank you.

When he said thank you, his eyes were a bit moist, but he held back...

After all, he was a man and couldn't say too many sentimental things. The only thing he could do was make up for it, earn money, and take good care of the family.

He knew Natalie's thoughts. She wanted to stay in Copenhegan to be with Andrew and Chloe.

He had no problem with that.

Clayton could travel back and forth. As long as she was willing to be with him, he could even move his business to Copenhegan.
