Chapter 368 He Kissed 20-Year-Old Charlotte (Part 1)
Frederick strolled in, shrugging off his coat at the door, and followed them inside.
Charlotte couldn't help but keep an eye on him.
Every move he made was just so damn smooth.
Frederick sauntered over, gave her shoulder a light press, and said, all casual-like, "If you dig it so much, why not sit down and play?"
Charlotte was totally taken aback.
She bit her lip, sat down at the piano, and let her fingers dance over the keys. Out of nowhere, Frederick said, "Play 'Moonlight Sonata' for me."
Charlotte's eyes got all misty as she glanced at him.
How did Frederick know her so well, like he had done some deep dive into her life?
She even wondered if he had checked out her past.
Frederick watched her closely.
Her delicate, sometimes fiery face was just too cute. He adored her and wanted her all to himself.
Charlotte finally started playing the piano.
Her foot was not injuried at that time, and she played beautifully.
Before Frederick drifted into a dream, he had gotten some guidance from the astrologer and had got back his lost memories.
Charlotte's playing moved him, even making his eyes a bit wet.
If he had handled things better with Katherine back then, maybe Charlotte wouldn't have had regrets, wouldn't have lost her dreams, and she might already be a world-famous pianist.
But life doesn't do "what ifs."
Right now, he just wanted to get her back safely.
When Charlotte finished playing, she slowly lifted her hands, almost in disbelief.
The familiar feeling was gut-wrenching.
At that moment, Frederick walked up behind her, placed his warm hand gently on her thin shoulder, and pulled her close.
He was so gentle.
He didn't make her feel uncomfortable at all.
Charlotte was confused. Just a few days ago, she was thinking about Ethan non-stop, but now her heart was all wrapped up in the guy next to her.
She was totally compliant.
Frederick, unable to hold back, leaned in close to her ear and whispered, "Do you know how much I've missed you?"
Charlotte's body went stiff.
She had never been this close to a guy before.
Her voice shook. "I don't know!"
Frederick didn't say anything else, just pressed his face into her golden hair, feeling its softness. It had been so long since he had held her!
Nearby, Chloe felt super awkward.
She quietly slipped into the kitchen to find something to munch on and spotted a brand-new pot. Chloe opened it and said, "Why did Frederick buy this?"
She figured once they were done with their smooching, she'd get him to cook her something.
Outside the apartment's floor-to-ceiling windows, the last bit of golden sunset streamed in, casting a beautiful light on them.
It was just perfect.
Charlotte was still in the man's arms.
She was inexperienced and had never been with a guy before, feeling a bit scared. She whimpered softly, "Mr. Hawkins, let go."
Frederick's hand boldly wrapped around her slim waist.
His voice was lazy and husky, dripping with masculinity. "I've been holding you for so long. Charlotte, do you honestly not feel anything for me?"
Charlotte couldn't deny it.
When Frederick held her, her face turned red, and even her legs felt weak.
It wasn't that she couldn't push him away, but she didn't want to.
This guy, who always struck a chord in her soul, had a mysterious pull on her.
Frederick gently stroked her slim waist.
Then he pulled her completely into his arms, whispering in her ear, "So, are we together now?"
Charlotte wanted to say no.
But she had come to his apartment and was being held by him, so she couldn't deny it.
This hesitation gave him an opening.
Frederick leaned in and kissed her gently.
When their lips touched, Charlotte's mind went blank with a rush of heat.
Charlotte couldn't describe this feeling.
It was like his presence was everywhere.
His scent was invading her senses.
"Close your eyes," Frederick's voice was low and husky, one hand gently cradling the back of her head, trying to help her chill out.
Charlotte, totally inexperienced, was freaking out.
Frederick just covered her eyes, then lifted her onto the piano, making it tremble.
The kiss was so intense it freaked her out.
Charlotte couldn't see, so she fumbled around until she clung to his shoulders.
He kissed her until she almost lost her mind.
After what felt like forever, he finally let her go, but he buried his face in her neck, panting. His hot breaths made Charlotte's heart race.
She was inexperienced, but she could tell he wanted her.
Frederick gently stroked her face and said in a raspy voice, "Don't be scared. I won't go too far."
The piano was a bit slippery, and Charlotte was scared she'd fall off.
She clung to his lean waist and protested, "You already did."
Frederick looked down at her.
With such a young and vibrant Charlotte in his arms, if he wasn't lusting after her, he wouldn't be a normal man.
Frederick pinched her nose and chuckled lightly. "I'll go make dinner! Chloe must be starving."
Charlotte blushed.
She had almost forgotten that Chloe was also there, and here she was, still in Frederick's arms, making out on the piano.
Frederick couldn't help but kiss her again. "Are you shy?"
Charlotte shook her head and looked up at him softly. "It's all happening so fast!"
Charlotte whispered, "Frederick, it feels like a dream."
Frederick stayed silent, not saying a word.
Because it was indeed a dream.
He had come here, fallen for the 20-year-old Charlotte, but ultimately, he would have to leave.
He hoped that when they woke up, they could both keep this memory.
It would be romantic to remember it when they were old.
He patted Charlotte's head and lifted her down; from this moment, she was his.
Frederick pulled Chloe out of the kitchen.
The two girls, one quiet and one lively, got along really well.
They were laughing and joking the whole time. Suddenly, Chloe showed a photo on her phone to Charlotte, like it was a treasure. "Look, isn't he handsome? Frederick said I have a shot."
Charlotte looked closely.
A refined and noble man was walking in the rain, surrounded by a bunch of people.
His secretary was holding an umbrella for him.
But Charlotte felt something weird because she saw a familiar trace on the man's face.
Especially from the nose to the lips, it looked a lot like her.
Charlotte knew she wasn't William's biological daughter.
So, was this man her real dad?
Chloe noticed Charlotte's expression and felt a bit uneasy. She bluntly said, "Charlotte, you have my brother now; don't fight with me for him!"
Charlotte couldn't help but laugh.
But she couldn't say anything about her identity, so she just kept it to herself.
She nodded, and Chloe immediately felt relieved.
Frederick made dinner; he was pretty good at it.
When the food was served, Chloe couldn't stop praising, "Frederick, when did you learn to cook like this?"
Her mouth was stuffed full. "Charlotte, you're so lucky! Frederick never cooked before."
Charlotte also found the food delicious.
Frederick said softly, "I learned it just to win you over."
No woman could resist sweet talk, especially when it came from such a handsome guy, and Charlotte was no exception.
But she still felt a bit uneasy.
Frederick gently stroked her long hair.
Instantly, that unease seemed less important.
Charlotte thought, 'I really want to be with him.'
She had experienced the taste of a crush, and now there was an amazing guy treating her so gently. She couldn't resist and didn't want to.
Charlotte ate her meal in peace, then washed the dishes with Chloe.
Chloe had never done housework before and was whining, but in the end, she pinched her nose and did it because Charlotte said Andrew liked considerate girls.
