Chapter 900 I Want to Get Married, I'm Serious 1
Sienna had just woken up, completely unaware of what was happening outside.
Suddenly hearing Bruce propose, Sienna thought he must be feverish and reached out to feel his forehead. "Are you feeling okay? Got a fever or something?"
Bruce gently moved her hand away.
His gaze was intense. "I'm dead serious, Sienna."
Sienna's pretty face darkened. "If you're serious, then it's even worse! Bruce, what happened between us in the mountains doesn't mean anything. We lived together for two years before, and hooking up a few more times doesn't change anything. You don't think just because we did it again, you're suddenly in love with me, do you?"
"What if I do?"
Bruce's eyes were deep and unreadable.
Sienna called him crazy and tried to close the door, but Bruce was ready. He blocked the door and stepped inside.
Sienna had just gotten home last night, and the place was a mess, with some underwear and bras strewn on the couch.
Bruce was momentarily stunned by the scene.
Sienna simply shut the door. She tightened her robe and yawned. "If you like coming over, then come over! Didn't you say you wanted to marry me? You should show some sincerity. Help me clean up this place, and I'll consider it."
She was sure Bruce would never stoop to such a level for a woman.
He had never done anything like this before!
Touching a woman's underwear and socks? He'd rather die.
To her surprise, Bruce asked softly, "If I clean up, you'll agree?"
Sienna rolled her eyes. "I'll think about it."
She hadn't slept enough and went back to her bedroom to catch up on sleep.
Her bright and confident demeanor made Bruce both amused and exasperated.
He finally understood why he had grown tired of her over the past few years.
Because Sienna was too perfect.
Being around someone too perfect left no room for emotional ups and downs.
On the contrary, the current Sienna, with her deliberate mischief, intrigued him. She probably didn't realize how much he liked her for it.
Bruce didn't tell Sienna about the video.
He knew Sienna well. If he told her right away, she'd get angry, and he wouldn't have a chance to stay.
So he obediently cleaned up and even went downstairs to buy corn to make her corn porridge.
By noon, Sienna woke up.
As soon as she opened her eyes, she smelled the delicious aroma of her favorite corn porridge.
Besides that, there was a faint masculine scent in the air, and the sound of running water from the bathroom.
She lay there quietly.
Bruce was showering in her bathroom!
Sienna was too lazy to move.
After a while, Bruce came out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel, looked at her for a few seconds, and said, "You're awake?"
Bruce, without any hesitation, dropped the towel and changed into his clothes right in front of Sienna.
Sienna leaned against the headboard, silently appreciating the view.
After she had her fill, she mocked, "Coming over first thing in the morning to show off, Bruce, what's your game?"
"Don't say it like that!" Bruce frowned. "You're a lady of high standing!"
Sienna deliberately made him uncomfortable. "Weren't you always into the girl-next-door type? Isn't Freya always talking about that? Bruce, I'm just giving you what you like. You should be happy."
He couldn't take it anymore and leaned in to kiss her.
Sienna thought Bruce was a beast.
She hadn't even brushed her teeth!
Bruce kissed her for a long time before pulling back slightly and whispering, "Are you still going to say those nasty things?"
Sienna remained silent.
He knew she still cared—cared about Freya's presence, cared about their past breakup.
He whispered, "Let's not mention Freya anymore, okay? It's over between us."
