Chapter 927 What He Couldn't Stand the Most Was That He Became Sienna's Compromise
Sienna changed her mind.
With a soft smile and lowered eyes, she said, "I'm not going with you. The nanny will go with you, and Will is really close to her."
Bruce was visibly upset. "Sienna!"
Sienna's expression remained calm. "If you think I'm being unreasonable, that's on you! Bruce, I worked hard to raise our child, not to hear you say these things! You think I cared back then, but I was trying to save you!"
She didn't want to continue the conversation, and Bruce had no choice.
Putting the past aside, even now, he felt a deep sense of helplessness because Sienna no longer loved him.
It was clear from her every word and action that she had no love left for him.
Bruce looked at her intently.
In his heart, he had probably already made a decision. He was never one to compromise.
He took Will back home.
Little Will had a great personality, very affectionate, much like Sienna, without any of Bruce's aloofness.
This made Raymond very happy. He always thought Bruce was too cold, which was why Sienna left.
Raymond held Will, satisfied, and glanced at Bruce.
"Bruce, where's your wife? Don't just focus on business all the time. Business will always be there. Learn from your dad. He keeps his wife happy, and they've never had a fight. You've only been married for two years."
Bruce replied nonchalantly, "Didn't I at least manage to have a son?"
Raymond was furious. "That's because Sienna has a good heart and gave birth to the child! Any other girl would have left you long ago. She could easily find a husband who isn't a workaholic!"
His tone softened. "What did you two talk about?"
In private, Bruce might have said something to cover up, but here, with only his parents and Raymond, he spoke the truth.
"Sienna and I don't love each other anymore. So much happened in the past that neither of us can let go. Now, we can't even have a conversation without blaming each other."
Raymond exploded. "Sienna just came back a couple of days ago, and you expect her to be all lovey-dovey? She gave you a son, not a pet! And now you bring Will home and think about divorce?"
Bruce didn't want to leave.
But he didn't know how to get along with Sienna anymore. He felt that forcing it would make them both unhappy.
He had always been bold, so he paused and then spoke the truth. "Let's just get divorced, Grandpa. If we could have worked out our issues back then, we wouldn't be here now."
But he would take care of the child and raise Will as the Taylor family heir.
He had lost interest in dating or marriage.
Looking back, his marriage to Sienna felt like a joke. Now, Bruce wasn't even sure if he had ever loved her.
Raymond, worried about scaring the child, had the nanny take Will outside to play.
Once they were alone, Raymond's face turned grim.
Bruce gave a bitter smile. "Grandpa, we just can't see eye to eye. I want to make her happy, say nice things, but it's hard for me, and she doesn't want to hear it."
He knew that staying together was just Sienna compromising.
She was putting up with him.
Maybe that was what he couldn't stand the most.
Bruce wanted his marriage, especially with Sienna, to be based on love.
He wasn't sure if Raymond could understand, but Lonnie lost his temper immediately, slamming the table.
"Bruce, I can't believe you have such bad habits. We never taught you this. You have a son now, and you still want a divorce? What were you thinking?"
