Chapter 598 He Brushed Past Amara!

On the other end of the line was a famous detective agency.

Kingsley's voice was rough. "Find Amara for me. Money's no object."

The person on the other end said a few things.

Kingsley hung up and sent over Amara's information. When he sent the photo, he felt a bit out of it and couldn't help but gently touch her face on the screen.

In the photo, Amara's innocent smile shone brightly. Though unsure of others, he felt his memories of her fading over time and instinctively clung to them.

Originally, Kingsley only planned to stay in Syeattel for 5 days, but he ended up staying a few more days to find Amara.

Still, no news about Amara.

The detective agency told him that Amara hadn't been living in Syeattel long-term, and the letter might have been sent by someone else to throw him off her trail.

After hanging up, Kingsley sat in his office for a long time.

There was a knock on the door, and Rebecca came in with a stack of documents, smiling apologetically. "Mr. Hawkins, these are for tomorrow's meeting!"

Kingsley slightly raised his chin, indicating where she should put them.

Rebecca noticed he was in a bad mood and guessed it was because of Amara, sighing softly.

It had been more than half a year, and still no news from Amara.

She suddenly said, "Mr. Hawkins, it's snowing outside!"

Kingsley turned and looked at the light snow outside through the floor-to-ceiling window. Rebecca added, "Syeattel hasn't had such heavy snow in years. By the time we get off work, the snow might cover everything!"

Kingsley silently watched for a while.

He said, "Let's leave work early today at four."

Rebecca felt that Kingsley had become more humane than before. In the past, even if it snowed or hailed, they had to work until 6 PM sharp.

She quickly left with the approved documents.

Kingsley was about to look at the documents when Johnny called. "I'm stuck in Lumina Bay City because of the heavy snow! Tomorrow, Lola and Austin have a hospital appointment. If you have time, can you go with them? I don't think I can make it back."

Kingsley replied calmly, "Alright."

Johnny had heard about Amara from Sienna and wanted to ask about it but decided against it.

Early the next morning, the snow had cleared, leaving a thin layer of winter snow on the ground. Kingsley wore a dark gray wool coat, holding Austin in his arms, with Lola following beside him.

The car's back door opened, and after Lola got in, Kingsley handed Austin to her.

Austin was so tender that Kingsley couldn't help but take another look.

He thought that if there had been no misunderstanding between him and Amara, they might have had a child by now.

Lola guessed what he was thinking from his expression. She whispered, "Still haven't found Amara?"

Kingsley smiled faintly.

Lola didn't ask further. She kissed Austin in her arms, and Kingsley, worried about them catching a cold, immediately closed the car door.

With snow on the ground, he drove slowly.

They arrived at the hospital around nine o'clock.

The Hawkins family had extensive connections, so they received special treatment at the hospital. Lola, holding Austin, smiled lightly. "Kingsley, you can wait for me outside. It should take about an hour."

Kingsley nodded.

The obstetrics and gynecology department was full of women, and he felt a bit out of place.

He took the escalator down to buy a lighter. The escalator was crowded with people, mostly pregnant women with their husbands carefully supporting them.

Kingsley pursed his lips just as Rebecca called.

He answered, and Rebecca asked him about some work matters. Kingsley gave a few instructions.

He didn't notice Amara standing on the opposite side of the escalator, her hand lightly resting on the rail as she ascended slowly.

She brushed past Kingsley!

In the cold winter, Amara's thin figure was wrapped in a large down jacket, but it couldn't hide her prominently swollen belly. She stared at Kingsley in shock, watching him hold his phone in deep thought.

The baby in Amara's belly seemed to sense something and suddenly kicked her.

Amara didn't notice, turning her head to him in a daze.

The escalator reached the top, and she was quickly swallowed by the crowd.

Just then, a familiar voice rang out in surprise by his ear. "Amara!"
