Chapter 672 I Am Also Willing to Give Up Everything for You

On the other end of the line, there was a long silence. Finally, Landon let out a bitter laugh. "You're right! I don't have the right anymore."

After hanging up, Kingsley stared at his phone, lost in thought.

Amara said, "You probably hurt his feelings with what you said."

Kingsley placed the phone on the bedside table, leaned against the headboard, and looked down at her. "Feeling sorry for him?"

Amara turned over and said, "I don't know what you're talking about!"

Kingsley chuckled softly, leaned over, and whispered against her back, "How could you not know? Mrs. Hawkins, I'm jealous!"

Amara said, "You're jealous of everyone!"

Kingsley said, "Didn't he confess to you before? Can you say he had no feelings for you at all?"

Amara turned over, her face nestled in the warmth of his neck. "That was years ago! Are you still hung up on it?"

Kingsley stroked her hair. Amara's slender body lay in his arms, making it easy for him to hold her. He liked holding her this way.

In such a tender embrace, the topic of Landon faded away just as Amara said: it was all a long time ago. The most important thing was that they were together now.

In the morning, after breakfast, Amara wanted to drive to the office.

But Kingsley took the keys from her hand and flicked her forehead. "From today on, I'll drive you to work and pick you up in the evening, no overtime allowed!"

Amara looked at him for a moment and agreed. She placed her briefcase in the back seat, sat beside him, and smiled faintly. "With a chauffeur, I'm too lazy to drive."

Kingsley smiled. "You just want to spend more time with me!"

Amara was used to his shamelessness. But she had to admit, Kingsley had the audacity to be shameless. His face alone was enough to keep her hooked for a lifetime!

The black Rolls-Royce Phantom stopped at the Carter Group Building half an hour later. Kingsley wanted to get out of the car to see her up, but Amara pressed his hand and said, "It's only been a few months, I'm not that immobile yet! When the time comes, even if you beg me to go to work, I won't want to."

Kingsley got what she meant. He didn't push it, just smiled gently and said, "Alright, I'll come to pick you up in the evening!"

Amara didn't get out of the car immediately, just looking at him before opening the car door. Kingsley's gaze deepened, and he couldn't resist lightly pulling her back and giving her a gentle kiss on the lips. "I really want to keep you by my side 24/7."

Amara touched his handsome face and whispered, "Being together 24/7 would get boring! Even as a couple, we need to keep things fresh."

Kingsley chuckled softly and let her go.

Amara got out of the car and walked into the lobby. People coming and going saw Kingsley from the Hawkins Group dropping her off and thought that the two must have been affectionate in the car for a while. The female employees were very envious.

Mia followed Amara into the office, hesitated, and asked, "Mrs. Hawkins, I heard that you plan to resign after getting married. Is it true?"

Amara sat down and turned on the computer. She looked up at Mia and smiled faintly. "It's just a temporary return to family life. I'll come back to work later. But family will be the priority."

Mia admired her a lot because many actresses who married into wealthy families stopped working after marriage. But Amara still thought about working.

Amara knew what Mia was thinking, saying, "You can love someone, but it's important not to lose yourself."

Mia nodded.

At that moment, the desk phone rang, and Amara answered. "Mrs. Hawkins, there's a Mr. Ralph Graham who wants to speak with you, should I put him through?"

Amara was stunned. She thought for a moment and agreed. "Put him through!"

After speaking, she signaled Mia to leave first. Mia considerately closed the door on her way out. With the door closed, Amara spoke calmly, "What's up?"

Ralph was silent for a moment before saying, "My flight is tomorrow night. I might not come back for a few years. By the way, Mr. Church is traveling with me."

Amara didn't respond.

Ralph continued, "You've forgiven him, haven't you?"

Amara lowered her eyes and smiled faintly. "This is my business. Ralph, I don't know why you're still calling, but if you need me to state my position, the most I can say is, have a safe trip."

Ralph blurted out, "Do we really have no feelings left? Amara, we grew up together."

Amara spoke slowly, "Those past times were not pleasant."

Finally, she said softly, "We have long been even, so there's no need to contact each other anymore. And Kingsley would be unhappy if he knew."

One sentence made Ralph completely give up! He hung up the phone, and Tristan, who was smoking beside him, sneered and cursed, "I told you she and Kingsley are a perfect match! Amara is as ruthless as he is, and you still think she has feelings for you! Your intelligence is far behind that Hawkins guy, any woman would know who to choose!"

Meanwhile, Kingsley and Amara's wedding had been moved up by two months due to Amara's pregnancy, with the whole process arranged by Charlotte. Sienna frequently ran errands for them. Being pampered by Frederick and not working, she frequently came over, often bringing chicken soup and other dishes personally made by Charlotte.

At this time, Sienna sat on the sofa, watching Amara finish drinking. She proudly said, "Back then, my mom used this to win over my dad!"

From the top of the stairs, Kingsley appeared, dressed comfortably in casual attire that did nothing to diminish his inherent elegance.

Kingsley walked down the stairs, sat lazily beside Amara, and said, "Your sister-in-law also won me over with lamb chops back then."

Saying this, he pinched Amara's cheek. "Oh, and a $300 date! A $13 coffee, she offered it to me like a treasure, I felt her sincerity and reluctantly agreed to date her."

He was talking nonsense seriously.

Sienna thought it was true, her beautiful eyes sparkling, resting her chin on her hand. "Amara, did you really pursue Kingsley?"

Amara almost couldn't finish the chicken soup. Her face turned red, "Don't listen to his nonsense; he was lying. He wouldn't even let me keep my $300."

Kingsley chuckled and asked back, "Then tell me, if it were another man, would you be willing to spend $300 on him?"

Of course, she wasn't willing. Amara was stumped by his question, knowing it was a trap but unable to refute it.

Kingsley picked up a magazine, casually flipping through it, and said nonchalantly, "So, you had a plan for me all along."

Sienna's face was unreadable as she picked up the empty bucket and walked away.

Kingsley saw her off, and, upon his return, found Amara seated with her face buried in her hands. "I've gained weight from all this soup!"

Kingsley hugged her, quite agreeing. "You have gained a bit! But it feels better."

Amara thought he was being improper, she wrapped her arms around his neck, and said, "I'm just afraid I won't fit into the wedding dress, or it will be too tight around the waist; what should I do then."

Kingsley lowered his head and kissed her. "It won't be that tight! You have to trust my mom's taste."

Relieved and reassured, Amara melted into his arms, returning his kiss with warmth and joy.

The next day, Kingsley went to the company, while Amara didn't go to work, and she was waiting at home for him to pick her up to go to the bridal shop to try on the wedding dress. With the arrival of early autumn, the weather became cooler and much more pleasant. Amara felt comfortable leaning on the living room sofa, reading a book. By two o'clock, Kingsley still hadn't come back.

Amara was worried and called him because he said he'd be back by one.

The phone rang a few times, and it was Rebecca who answered. She sounded a bit anxious but tried to stay calm, knowing that Amara was pregnant and couldn't handle too much stress.

She said, "Mr. Kingsley Hawkins had a car accident after lunch. It's nothing serious, but there's a bit of a blood clot in his eye nerve, so he needs to stay in the hospital for a few days for observation."

Amara suddenly felt tense. She quickly asked, "Which hospital?"

Rebecca promptly gave her the address and added, "Mr. Frederick Hawkins and Mrs. Charlotte Hawkins are already here. We didn't want to tell you, but Mr. Kingsley Hawkins wants to see you."

Amara was in turmoil, but she tried to stay calm. She was carrying their child, the one Kingsley had been looking forward to for so long. She couldn't let anything happen to the baby.

Amara didn't drive; she called for a driver to come over. Coincidentally, Billy came to deliver something and offered to take her to the hospital, and Hailey, worried, also went along.

In the high-end VIP ward of the private hospital, Kingsley was quietly sitting on the hospital bed, looking fine. Frederick and his wife, along with Lola, Sienna, and others, were standing around him.

As soon as Amara entered the room, Kingsley's head turned in her direction. He said, "Amara?"

Amara stopped at the door, staring at Kingsley. He was smiling, looking in her direction, but his eyes had no focus.

He... couldn't see?

Amara's voice was hoarse. "Yes! I called, and Rebecca answered."

She walked over, and Frederick made way for her.

With so many Hawkins family members in the room, including elders, Amara should have been composed and dignified, but seeing Kingsley's unfocused eyes, seemingly relaxed but actually anxious to find her, she couldn't care about anything else.

She gently held his head and softly asked, "Does it hurt?"

Kingsley felt her warmth, and his restless heart calmed down. He shook his head. "It doesn't hurt, just a bit of a concussion. And... my eyes can't see temporarily. The doctor said it might take two or three months to gradually recover."

He squeezed her hand and smiled faintly. "Our wedding might have to be postponed! And Amara, I told you that you should go to Boston. My stance hasn't changed. If you want to go, I still support you..." he said.

Amara covered his lips, not letting him continue. She softly said, "Kingsley, it's not just you who can let go of everything, I can too! Because, in my heart, you are the most important person!"

After she finished speaking, the room was silent. After a while, Frederick laughed. "Just now it was all sad, and now your wife comes and you start showing off your love! So you crashed the car just to hear your wife's confession, Kingsley, aren't you ashamed!"

Natalie covered her face and said, "But it's so romantic!"

Sienna nodded in agreement. "When I get married in the future, it has to meet this standard."

Amara felt embarrassed, and even though Kingsley couldn't see, he knew her well. He shooed everyone away, saying, "Alright, alright, Amara can stay with me!"

Frederick said a few more jealous words before leaving, but as a father, he couldn't help but care for Kingsley. Concerned for Kingsley's well-being, he called the attending doctor and inquired repeatedly until he was reassured that Kingsley's eyes wouldn't require surgery and would recover naturally. Only then did he leave the hospital.

In the car, Frederick couldn't help but say, "Kingsley wouldn't have crashed on purpose, would he? He's always been quite cunning."

Charlotte was speechless. "How could he crash so precisely?"

Frederick seized the context. "So you admit he's cunning?"

Charlotte simply ignored him!

In the ward, only Kingsley and Amara were left. He couldn't see, so he kept holding her hand. He said, "We can't try on the wedding dress today!"

Amara sat on the sofa beside him, peeled an apple, and placed it in his hand.

Kingsley didn't want to eat. He followed her hand, touching her arm, then her face, his voice hoarse. "I don't want to eat this, Amara. I want to kiss you, touch you."

Amara didn't expect that even after such an accident, his desires were still so strong. But in his current state, she was very accommodating, coaxing him, "We'll do that after you get out of the hospital."

"I want it now!" Kingsley lowered his head to kiss her, mumbling as he kissed, "I can't see. Amara, sit on my lap!"

Amara refused. "We're in the hospital. Kingsley, hold on a bit."

Yet he was unusually domineering, and after some persuasion, he managed to pull Amara onto his lap, taking advantage of her while softly saying, "Do you know what I was thinking when the car crashed?"

Amara looked down at him.

At this moment, although Kingsley couldn't see, his whole face showed a faint desire, even more attractive than usual. He said in a sexy, low voice, "I was thinking, I haven't seen our child yet. He must look like you. And Amara, you have no idea how seductive you are right now. I thought, what a pity it would be if I died and never saw this again."

Amara was both shy and angry. She reached out and slapped him lightly. "At a time like this, you're still thinking about that!"

He was quite righteous. "I'm just expressing my true thoughts; is that wrong? Don't you women always say men should be honest? I'm being sincere."

Amara couldn't argue with him but wouldn't let him have his way. She hugged his neck, gently coaxing, "You have kissed and touched me. Be serious now."

Kingsley still wanted to make love with her, but Amara suddenly said, "Kingsley, when I heard Rebecca say you crashed, I thought of countless possibilities, and my hands were shaking in the car."

Kingsley felt that if he continued to release his desires, that would be inappropriate. He gently hugged her, comforting her. "I'm fine! Just a small accident."

Amara held him tightly and said, "No more accidents in the future."

Kingsley was moved, his sexy Adam's apple rolling, and all his previous thoughts vanished, leaving only tender emotions. He comforted her for a long time. He thought, 'Amara must love me very much. And I would repay her with double the love.'

At this tender moment, the ward door opened, and Landon walked in.

Landon opened the door and saw the couple embracing. Finding it an eyesore, he couldn't help but mock, "Kingsley is always so energetic; it makes me envious!"

Behind him, Billy scratched his head, embarrassed. "I couldn't stop him! Mr. Carter insisted on coming in."

Even though Kingsley couldn't see, he didn't stay silent. He patted Amara, then smirked. "You should be envious, after all, the whole of Boston probably knows about your erectile dysfunction. Mrs. Carter has found more than ten experts for you, you have seen all the experts in Boston, right? Still not working? Do you want me to introduce you to an authority in Seattle? Guaranteed you will have your own biological children in the future!"

His words had a hidden meaning, which made Landon frown.

Amara also sensitively caught the keyword: biological children!

Kingsley's face showed a hint of calmness.

At this moment, Billy spoke again, "Ms. Robinson, you also came to see Kingsley? You're so kind to bring so many nutritional supplements."
