Chapter 948 My Name is Bruce, I am Sienna's Husband
Bruce looked away, his expression unreadable.
Instead of responding right away, he walked over to the bar in the living room, opened the liquor cabinet, and pulled out a bottle of red wine along with two glasses.
The Taylor family had been wealthy for generations.
Bruce's movements were smooth and effortless, almost mesmerizing.
He uncorked the bottle, let the wine breathe, and turned to see Eldon still standing at the door. With a faint smile, he said, "Why don't you come in? Hard to talk about the script if you're standing there."
Eldon wasn't naive.
In just a couple of minutes, he could sense the difference in Bruce's demeanor. It was the kind of confidence that came from old money, a refined air that had nothing to do with the entertainment industry.
Eldon was still fighting like a cornered animal.
He figured that no matter how rich Bruce was, he couldn't be wealthier than his benefactor. This thought gave him some confidence, so he decided to drop a name to test the waters.
Trying to sound casual, he mentioned the person,
Then, Eldon said, almost offhandedly, "She runs quite a big business. I wonder if Mr. Taylor has any dealings with her. If so, that'd be quite the coincidence!"
He was trying to apply pressure, both directly and indirectly.
Bruce got the message loud and clear.
He remembered that among the Taylor family's business partners, there was indeed a female CEO, around 40 years old. He hadn't expected her to be connected to the actor standing before him.
But Eldon was shameless.
Clinging to a benefactor was one thing, but flaunting it was another, showing he had no real background.
By now, the wine was ready.
Bruce poured two glasses and brought them over with one hand. He gestured for Eldon to sit down and took a seat opposite him, saying casually, "Now that you mention it, I do remember her! She was widowed young and is indeed very capable."
Eldon couldn't help but feel smug.
It seemed that even Sienna's husband had to show respect to his benefactor.
Bruce leaned forward, picked up a glass of wine, and gently swirled it, steering the conversation back to the film crew.
Eldon, feeling emboldened,
He truly believed that Bruce, for the sake of resources and wealth, would offer his wife Sienna to him. So, his attitude became arrogant, complaining about Sienna's lack of cooperation and high-handedness during filming.
Eldon brazenly said, "I can tolerate it, but the director can't. Our whole crew has come to a standstill because of Sienna's whims. This huge loss is something no one can afford! In my opinion, the only solution is for Sienna to apologize to the director and get back to normal filming. Of course, I can help her out with script reading and acting."
Bruce set down his wine glass.
As the eldest grandson of the Taylor family and the CEO of the Taylor Group, his actions carried significant weight.
Eldon was taken aback.
Just then, a child's cry came from the bedroom.
Bruce's expression softened. As he stood up, he said to Eldon, "You should go now. My son just woke up, and Sienna's asleep. She probably won't be able to see you."
Eldon was stunned.
They had a son?
Bruce, used to giving orders, ignored Eldon and opened the bedroom door.
Eldon didn't leave right away.
Through the crack in the door, he saw Bruce gently pick up a beautiful baby, kiss him, and then turn to speak to someone on the bed.
The distance was too great for him to hear clearly.
He couldn't see the person on the bed, but he could guess it was Sienna.
Suddenly, Eldon felt a surge of jealousy.
He envied this beautiful life because he didn't have it. Serving his benefactor left him almost afraid to have a girlfriend. He could only use acting to take advantage of some actresses.
Now, his feelings towards Sienna weren't lustful.
They were envious!
He was insanely jealous.
Leaving the hotel suite, he called his benefactor, whining and pleading, asking her to replace Sienna. She was very fond of him and agreed immediately.
She called the director, threatening to withhold the final payment if Sienna wasn't replaced.
Sienna was still sound asleep!
The director called. Bruce was about to answer, but Sienna woke up groggily, slapped his hand away, and grumbled, "You're answering my calls again!"
She answered the director's call, her voice lazy, "Director!"
The director immediately knew it was a private moment.
His face darkened, but his tone was pleading, "There's trouble. How can you still be sleeping? Let's arrange a dinner with Eldon to clear up the misunderstanding. The crew needs to continue filming; we can't keep stopping. But let me warn you, Eldon's benefactor is here!"
Sienna replied bluntly, "Then replace me!"
The director was silent.
He didn't dare. If he replaced Sienna, Anouk would kill him, and he wouldn't be able to face Charlotte back in Seattle. He wouldn't be able to survive in the industry.
He closed his eyes, deciding to face the benefactor alone.
He was about to speak when Bruce took Sienna's phone.
Bruce, holding Will in one arm and the phone in the other, spoke calmly to the director, "Tell the benefactor that Sienna and I will be there tomorrow night. Also, there will be a baby present, so the place needs to be quiet and smoke-free."
The director was stunned.
After a long pause, he stammered, "Mr. Taylor."
