Chapter 476 I Will Love You Forever!
Gavin grumbled, "Dad's kissing Mom." But Natalie wasn't having it; she wanted a kiss too and wouldn't budge.
In the little garden, Natalie pouted her rosy lips, her eyes welling up as she looked at Gavin.
"Alright, alright, you win!" Gavin leaned in and kissed her cheek. "There, happy now?"
Natalie blinked, her long lashes catching the sunlight, making them look almost blue. So pretty!
Gavin kissed her again, this time much gentler. "Be good, okay? Listen to me!"
Natalie threw her arms around Gavin!
On December 28th, Andrew and Chloe tied the knot.
In the church, it was just close friends and family from the Hawkins and Devereux clans. Charlotte and Frederick were in the front row.
Charlotte wore a long beige dress, and Frederick rocked a classic handmade black suit. Their four kids sat beside them.
The priest started the vows.
Frederick gently took Charlotte's hand and whispered, "Charlotte, I'll love you forever! Never leaving you!"
Charlotte turned her head, the sunlight making her look stunning.
Frederick kissed her deeply.
Charlotte glanced at the couple on stage, then turned back to Frederick, gently touching his cheek. "Frederick, I love you too!"
He held her hand, their fingers intertwining.
After the ceremony, Patrick took the kids home, while Frederick and Charlotte went for a walk.
Frederick took off his suit jacket and draped it over Charlotte's shoulders.
He held her hand as they strolled down the long path. "Andrew and Chloe finally got their happy ending."
Charlotte leaned her head on his shoulder.
Frederick wrapped his arm around her and chuckled, "So, Ms. Russell, what's next on your agenda?"
Charlotte softly replied, "When the kids are older, I want to open a coffee shop, just relax and read books."
Frederick laughed, "Ms. Russell, you don't strike me as someone without ambition!"
Charlotte leaned into him, remembering her days as the president of Vertex Innovations Group. Even now, she had to look after Landon because of a favor.
She sighed, "Frederick, when I was 20, I never thought about being a career woman. My dream was just a house, a dog, a husband, and kids!"
Back then, her dream wasn't Frederick. It was Ethan.
Frederick didn't let it get to him; he just touched his nose and rolled with it.
Charlotte noticed and smiled, "Why are you still upset? Frederick, the journey doesn't matter, what matters is we ended up together, and we have our kids!"
Johnny, Lola, Kingsley, and Sienna, along with her relationship with Frederick, meant more than anything else.
Frederick was touched. He leaned in to kiss her, but a voice interrupted.
"Charlotte!"
Charlotte looked up from Frederick's embrace.
It was Landon!
After two years, Landon had changed a lot, more mature and with a different vibe.
He wore a business suit with a light coat over it, a suitcase at his feet.
In two hours, Landon would be on a flight back to Bostan to officially take over the Cooper Group.
This also meant he'd be leaving Charlotte behind.
He'd been by her side for two years, and he'd liked her for just as long. Everyone knew Landon had a thing for Charlotte, but no one paid it any mind because they all knew she wasn't interested.
He felt a mix of embarrassment and reluctance.
So before he left, he wanted to have a word with her. "Mr. Hawkins, can I talk to Charlotte alone for a moment?"
The sunlight filtered through the trees, casting a warm glow on Frederick, making him look even more gentle.
He looked at Landon, who was ten years younger than him!
Honestly, it was a good age for a guy, with a solid family background and good looks.
Frederick had always noticed, but it didn't make him anxious; it added a bit of fun. He didn't get it at first, but later he realized it was Charlotte's feelings for him that gave him confidence.
After a moment, Frederick made a gesture, gracefully.
Charlotte couldn't help but say, "Frederick!"
Frederick adjusted her coat and whispered, "Say a proper goodbye!"
Charlotte thought he was really bad!
Frederick smiled, walked a dozen feet away, and took out a cigarette, holding it between his lips and lighting it.
As he exhaled a long plume of smoke, he felt an indescribable contentment.
Charlotte didn't know his thoughts. She looked at Landon and smiled faintly, "Congratulations!"
Landon squinted at her.
The sunlight was too glaring; he couldn't see her expression clearly, and he was a bit annoyed, blurting out, "Charlotte, do these past few years mean nothing to you? I like you so much, don't you feel anything? I'm so handsome!"
Charlotte sighed softly. She knew she couldn't avoid it.
She considered her words and gently said, "Landon, if someone else said these things to me, I might not even respond because those people have nothing to do with me! But your parents entrusted you to me, so I want to say, you liked me knowing I have a husband and kids, and I never responded to you, so you should weigh the pros and cons while liking me."
Landon's voice turned cold, "Do you always weigh the pros and cons before doing anything?"
Charlotte smiled slightly. "Yes! Even if my relationship with Frederick wasn't good, and I liked someone else, I wouldn't easily take the risk! Landon, I don't know about you, but I've experienced so much that I no longer have youthful impulsiveness."
She once loved someone recklessly and unconditionally. But in the end, she ended up with Frederick.
When Landon, with red eyes, was about to leave, Charlotte softly said, "One day, you will meet the person destined for you, but that person will never be me!"
Landon turned his back to her.
After a long time, he pulled his suitcase and walked away.
Charlotte quietly watched him and didn't tell him that she could never like him.
Frederick returned without a word.
Charlotte gently took his arm, "You're quite magnanimous, Mr. Hawkins!"
Frederick's expression was dignified, "That makes us a couple, Ms. Russell!"
