Chapter 703 Johnny, Don't Force Me to Hate You!

Johnny didn't answer right away. He just stared at Lola for a long moment, his voice rough as he demanded, "I want to hear you say it... that you love me!"

But Lola stayed silent.

After what felt like forever, she finally spoke in a soft tone, "Johnny, you're practically on the same level as the Hawkins family in Seattle now. You've got everything. I thought love and affection weren't on your radar anymore."

Johnny pushed back, "Is it not on my radar, or yours? Lola, Darren's been dead for three years. Yeah, I messed up by sending him abroad and hiding his death, but time's passed. How have I treated you, the kids, and your parents? Do you not care at all?"

Lola turned to look at him, feeling only distance. Once, she gave him everything, but he didn't want it; he only wanted freedom. After playing around enough, he came back wanting to be with her again. After all that, she still returned to him.

She didn't ask for much, just a simple life. If it were before, she would have despised herself for being so mundane.

Johnny, on the other hand, had a raging fire burning in his heart, which made it impossible for him to tolerate Darren... However, Darren was like family to her, just like Kingsley.

Johnny sent Darren away, but Darren, who had no family, died in a distant land, with not a soul mourning his passing!

This was Lola's enduring agony, but what options did she have? Apart from sharing two children with Johnny, she had her parents and family businesses in the mix. Their entanglement was too complex and profound.

Unless Johnny was willing to divorce.

Although Lola never brought it up directly, when confronted by Johnny once more, she realized she could no longer love him.

She looked at Johnny and, for the first time, seriously said, "If you really feel we can't go on, we can actually..."

Yet she didn't get a chance to finish her sentence.

With a sound, her seatbelt was unfastened, and she was dragged to the driver's seat, pressed against Johnny. Both were quite tall, and fortunately, the car was spacious.

Lola asked, "Johnny, what are you doing? Are you crazy? How can I face the servants if they see this?"

Johnny's hand moved down her waist, pressing her hard. His eyes had a hint of blood, and his voice was terrifyingly hoarse. "No one will see. The servants are all on leave."

Then he kissed Lola and her professional skirt was lifted by his large hand!

However, Lola wouldn't have it. Without mutual consent, it became torture, and she felt nothing.

Johnny kissed deeply for a long time. He opened the car door with one hand and carried Lola out. It was already evening, and the air was filled with the aroma of food, perhaps from someone preparing dinner.

He walked through the foyer and the hall, where the food on the dining table had long gone cold.

Without a glance, he carried Lola upstairs with a blank expression. Lola knew she couldn't break free, and coldly asked, "Are you going to rape me?"

Johnny walked upstairs slowly.

The luxurious crystal chandelier above refracted brilliant light, making his features even more defined.

Hearing this, he looked down at her. His attractive thin lips curled into a mocking smile, and he said, "Making love to my wife is called rape? I believe spouses have an obligation to satisfy each other's sexual needs, right?"

Lola's eyes reddened with anger.

Johnny was clearly doing it on purpose. It wasn't even dark yet, and carrying her upstairs like this was just to show her that as her husband, he could do whatever he wanted with her.

Mutual satisfaction... what a joke!

Lola then coldly said, "Too bad, I don't need it!"

Yet Johnny kissed the corner of her mouth and replied, "Mrs. Flores... soon, you will need it!"

With that, he kicked open the main bedroom door.

Lola was thrown onto the big bed, her head spinning from the impact. Before she could get up, he pinned her down with one knee, unbuttoning his shirt with one hand and turning on all the lights in the bedroom.

The lights were blindingly bright, making everything glaringly clear. Lola kicked and cursed at him, calling him a bastard.

Johnny held her down, looking at her with a soft voice. "What, you don't want me to look at you? Aren't we a couple? Can't we even look at each other?"

Lola shouted, "Johnny, you're crazy!"

She closed her eyes, her chest heaving from the struggle, which only seemed to fuel the storm in his eyes. Maybe he had kept it bottled up for too long, or maybe he craved her reaction, but he was very rough.

He started off harsh, then became extremely vulgar. It was almost not a way to treat a wife. Lola resisted at first, but later she just turned her face away, letting him do as he pleased. When a woman resisted, it wouldn't be pleasant.

Throughout the ordeal, Lola kept a furrowed brow, enduring it delicately from beginning to end.

This completely broke Johnny. At his most vicious, he held her body, tormenting her fiercely while gently whispering, "You are mine for life! You are not allowed to think of anyone else!"

In response, Lola's eyes held a tear, barely visible. Her body swayed, but her mind remained sharp and clear. She pondered how she and Johnny had reached this point today.

It was over.

The bedroom lights were turned off, and the room was dark. Lola lay on her side, quietly looking out the window. She didn't know how long Johnny had tormented her.

But the moon was high, well past nine o'clock... She pondered silently, should she be thankful that Johnny didn't have other women on the side, thus directing all his energy towards her?

The bathroom door opened softly.

Johnny came out wearing a bathrobe, water dripping from his hair, sliding down his neck to his chest, looking sexy.

Johnny, having had his fill, was in a much better mood.

At this moment, he showed no sign of his earlier aggression, looking gentle and calm. He wiped his wet hair with a towel, sat by the bed, gently touching her arm, and asked softly, "Does it hurt?"

Hearing this, Lola pulled the thin blanket and sat up. When she spoke, her voice was terribly hoarse. "If it hurts, will you let me go?"

Johnny chuckled lightly, in a good mood. "Go rinse off, I'll go heat up the food."

Lola knew that men often confused sex with love. After the incident, Johnny felt that their relationship had eased and returned to how it was before. At least now he could make love with joy again.

But for Lola, once she was disappointed in a man, it was difficult to feel anything for him again. She didn't voice this sentiment. After he left the main bedroom, she went into the bathroom to thoroughly clean herself, adjusting the water temperature to a slightly hotter setting, intentionally avoiding pregnancy.

When she came out, she changed into loungewear. Hesitating, she opened the bedside drawer and took out a small bottle of birth control pills.

She had bought it a long time ago. She didn't know why she bought it then, maybe for a day like this. She and Johnny couldn't have another child to add to their troubles.

There was no water in the bedroom, so she went to the living room, and took the pill without hesitation.

"Are you finished? The food is heated..." Johnny's voice trailed off at the doorway. He gazed at Lola, noticing the pill bottle in her hand.

Lola followed his gaze and then commented casually, "You didn't use protection, and we aren't planning on having another child right now."

Johnny asked, "Is that an explanation?"

Lola smiled faintly and replied, "I guess so."

Johnny walked in slowly. He had changed into a white shirt and black casual pants, the look Lola once loved most, but now there was no smile on his face. He took the small bottle, looked at it for a long time, and said softly, "Lola, you don't want to have another child with me, do you? Even making love, you are so reluctant, not even willing to make a sound."

Feeling powerless, Lola spoke softly, "Johnny, I can't give you what you want."

Johnny looked up. When his gaze met hers once more, his eyes held a sense of distance. He realized this marriage wasn't just about his suffering.
