Chapter 966 BruceSienna Finale 1

Marcella listened closely.

Sienna called out, "Bruce," showing their strong bond as a couple, which made Marcella, as the mother-in-law, very happy.

Marcella had always liked Sienna.

After the mother and son had their moment,

Marcella held Will and spoke softly, "Your grandfather hasn't been doing well lately. He's been hoping for you and Bruce to come back. I suggested calling you, but he refused, saying he didn't want to interrupt your important work."

"He said he doesn't want to be a burden, just wants to see you both doing well."

Marcella felt a pang of sadness.

Raymond's condition was serious, and he might only have a few months left. Normally, an elderly person would want their family around, but Bruce...

Bruce had said that making money wasn't the priority; he didn't want Raymond to have any regrets.

When Raymond heard this, he scolded Bruce harshly.

Raymond said, "You're doing a great job as a father! If you want to be a coward, fine, but don't make Bruce one too! A man needs to have some backbone. If he comes back halfway through, not just me, even his wife won't respect him."

Marcella couldn't say these things in front of Sienna.

She took Sienna to see Raymond.

Raymond was seriously ill. The doctors recommended chemotherapy, but Raymond refused. He said he was too old to go through that and wanted to leave with dignity.

Sienna brought Will over. Raymond was resting in a recliner with his eyes closed.

Hearing the noise, Raymond opened his eyes.

"Sienna, you're back!"

Sienna, holding Will, took Raymond's hand and said softly, "Yes, I'm back! I don't have any work lined up for now, so I can stay and take care of you."

She had heard from Marcella and wanted to persuade him.

Raymond knew what she was thinking.

He smiled, his wrinkles smoothing out, and said, "You focus on your work! Young people need to prioritize their careers. Don't stay cooped up at home because of me. It's so boring!"

Sienna took a warm towel from the maid.

She carefully wiped Raymond's face, speaking gently, "My work isn't too busy. Staying home means supporting Bruce! As the CEO of the Taylor Group, his work affects thousands of people. He can't afford to make mistakes."

Raymond accepted her gentle care.

His facial muscles twitched.

After a long while, he gently held Sienna's hand and sighed, "Bruce has treated you poorly in the past."

Sienna shook her head.

She said, "I was young and naive too."

She would only say this to Raymond, never to Bruce.

Raymond understood. He thought, what a sensible girl!

He looked at Marcella.

Marcella was also moved, wiping away a tear. She desperately wanted Sienna to persuade Raymond to get treatment, but it was clear Raymond was unwilling.

Late at night, the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law talked for hours.

Marcella left.

Sienna leaned against the headboard, gently stroking Will's face, reflecting on the day's events.

It wasn't until Bruce called that she realized she hadn't even had time to think about him since she got back.

Bruce's voice was as pleasant as ever. He asked softly, "Are you still at the Taylor Manor?"

Sienna responded lightly, "You sure get your news quickly."

She added, "Grandpa isn't well. I'm thinking of staying here for a while. Bruce, even though you said you'd be back before the end of the year, if you have time in the next few days, you should come back to see him."

She explained Raymond's condition.

On the other end, Bruce was silent for a long time.

After what felt like ages, he said quietly, "I understand. I'll make time to come back. Thank you for everything."

He knew that while the Taylor family didn't have strict rules,

living at the Taylor Manor wasn't as comfortable or convenient as their own home. But Sienna was willing to stay there. He wouldn't ask her about the one-year promise anymore because he could feel her sincerity. She truly considered herself his wife.

Bruce didn't say much more, just gently told her to get some rest.

Sienna nodded.

She hung up the phone and looked around the bedroom. This was Bruce's room.

Over the past few months, she had occasionally stayed here. The room's layout and decor had become more feminine and lived-in, with many of Will's baby items.

Their space seemed to have lost its romance.

But Sienna felt warmth and security.

She fell into a deep sleep.

At dawn, she heard noises outside in her sleep, followed by footsteps. She opened her eyes and saw Bruce.

Sienna blinked.

He had come back overnight!
