Chapter 792 Grant, Are You Crazy!
Under the crystal chandelier, Natalie's face was pale.
Suddenly, she began to laugh softly. Staring into his eyes through the mirror, she said, "Yeah, we slept together! Is that what you wanted to hear?"
The room fell silent after she spoke.
Grant's face turned ashen. Though he had imagined this scenario countless times, hearing it for real was hard to accept.
Natalie didn't regret saying it.
She and Clayton hadn't gone that far, but she wanted to sever ties with Grant completely. If saying this would make that happen, she was willing to do it.
The next second, her body was slammed against the wall.
Grant pressed against her, his hipbone digging into her painfully.
Natalie leaned against the wall, suppressing a scream, "Grant, are you out of your mind?"
"Maybe I am!"
Grant's handsome face was dangerously close, and he slowly lowered his head to sniff her neck, like a predator checking its mate.
He could smell Clayton on her.
A faint, purely masculine scent.
Grant's nose brushed against her skin, his voice hoarse, "Does he satisfy you more than I do? When you're with him, do you think of me?"
Natalie slapped him hard, her palm stinging red afterward.
She was usually gentle and had never acted this way before.
"Grant, do you even know what you're saying?"
"We broke up a long time ago! That night was just an accident. My life has nothing to do with you anymore, got it?"
Grant listened in a daze. How could he not understand? He was painfully aware.
He had watched her fall into Clayton's arms.
Natalie pushed him away and ran out, but she stopped after a few steps.
She saw Clayton.
Clayton stood there, having just arrived, but he must have heard a lot.
Natalie's lips moved slightly, whispering, "Clayton."
Clayton looked down at her, gently touching her head, "The food's ready. Let's eat first. I need to use the restroom."
Natalie, feeling uneasy, tugged at Clayton's sleeve.
Clayton patted her shoulder, "Be good!"
Natalie reluctantly obeyed, looking back with every step.
Her obedience was quite irritating to Grant. He rolled up his sleeves and muttered, "You wanna fight?"
Clayton loosened his collar and stretched his neck.
He sneered, "I've had enough of you!"
In the past, he had no reason, but now he was Natalie's boyfriend. He couldn't just stand by while she was bullied, or he wouldn't be a man!
Grant wasn't afraid of him. He was so angry that needed an outlet.
The restroom door was locked from the inside.
From outside, she could hear the sounds of a struggle and grunts. Blood splattered on the pristine floor.
The commotion was so loud that the restaurant manager came over. Unable to open the door, they called the police. By the time the police arrived half an hour later, both men were battered and bruised, neither gaining the upper hand.
Clayton wiped his lip, "Didn't expect you to be this tough!"
Grant sneered, "Same to you."
They were evenly matched, but when Natalie arrived, she softly called Clayton's name and rushed to check his injuries.
At that moment, Grant's face turned pale.
No physical injury could compare to the heartbreak he felt.
In the past, Natalie's eyes were only for him, but now, as she entered, her gaze was solely on Clayton, not on him.
This realization shattered him completely.
At the police station, he watched Natalie tend to Clayton's wounds.
Late at night, Clara arrived.
Seeing Grant's condition, she hesitated, wanting to bandage his wounds, but Grant refused coldly, "No need!"
Clara started to speak, "But…"
Grant's face was dark, and she didn't dare continue.
She wanted to bail him out, but the situation was too serious.
Finally, a call was made to Johnny.
Johnny, still on his honeymoon, cursed over the phone, "Get lost! Don't bother me on my honeymoon. Call Gavin to handle it."
He hung up, and Lola hugged him from behind, "Grant and Clayton fought?"
Johnny smiled, "You know them well."
Lola laughed softly, "I know you better! Let me see what Mr. Flores is thinking."
She reached down.
Johnny's eyes darkened, his voice hoarse, "Lola, I don't want to hurt you."
They had a great relationship, but he couldn't always let his desires cause her pain. Usually, unless he was really in the mood, it still hurt her a bit.
Johnny couldn't bear to hurt her.
Lola lay on his shoulder, laughing softly, then kissed his chin.

In Syeattel, Gavin received the call late at night and wanted to curse too.
Molly, worried, came with him.
Getting out of the car, Gavin looked at her, "Stay in the car!"
Molly tried to get out, but Gavin locked her in. Even after years of marriage, he still treated her like a child. Sometimes he was overly protective, but Molly's gentle nature was used to it.
The early spring night was chilly.
Gavin entered the police station, took off his coat, and looked at the group, sneering, "Fighting over jealousy, huh?"
He directed his words at Grant, "You need a good reason to fight! Mr. McCall, didn't you and my sister break up long ago? What, she's not allowed to have a boyfriend?"
His words cut deep, but Gavin knew when to stop.
After all, it was in the past. If he kept pushing, how would Natalie move on? She was getting married, after all.
Gavin quickly signed the bail papers, then told Natalie, "Take Clayton and go! Get a cab, your sister-in-law is in my car."
Natalie nodded and left with Clayton.
Grant and Clara remained.
Gavin lit a cigarette, took a drag, and exhaled slowly. He looked at Grant, "Mr. McCall, let's talk. Your secretary might not like what I have to say."
Grant glanced at Clara.
Clara quietly left, not daring to offend Gavin.
In the empty space, Gavin paced back and forth a few times, then stopped. He spoke frankly, "Before the island, I hoped you could let go of your issues and treat Natalie well. She really liked you! I don't know what happened on the island that made her turn to Clayton so quickly. Grant, do you know? She's known Clayton for years. If it weren't for you, they'd have been together at least eight years ago and they might even have kids by now."
He continued, "Yes, my father investigated your father. But was my father wrong? He was just doing his job. What did Natalie do wrong? She just happened to meet you and fall for you! What was wrong with breaking up with you? Are you worth her holding on to?"
He added, "Now, Mr. McCall has made his choice, and so has my sister. So let it go. If you have any grievances, take them out on me. A father's debt is paid by the son. I'm here waiting for you."
Grant tilted his head slightly, "Mr. Devereux, you've said a lot, but what did I do wrong?"
Gavin smiled faintly, "You did nothing wrong! But you didn't love her enough. If you loved her, you wouldn't have hurt her so much after reuniting. You wouldn't have driven your relationship into a dead end."
Gavin sighed, "You had a chance to be together, but you missed it again and again. Grant, you might not know my sister's nature. Before the island, if you had just talked to her properly, she would have come back to you. But you didn't. You only cared about your pride and sad past. But who isn't pitiful in this world? Even I, before I was four, lived with my mother, struggling to get by. Who do I blame for that?"
Gavin finished, stubbed out his cigarette, and left.
Grant stood there alone for a long time.
Gavin walked out, got in the car, and threw his coat to Molly.
Molly frowned, "It smells like smoke."
Gavin leaned over, wrapped his arm around her, and kissed her deeply.
Molly almost couldn't breathe, struggling and hitting his shoulder. When he finally let her go, she was teary-eyed, "Who else would put up with you?"
Gavin caressed her lips, his voice tender, "I only want to bully you."
He held Molly with one arm and called Natalie, "It's late. Stay at Clayton's tonight."
Molly whispered, "What kind of brother behaves like you?"
Gavin let her go and smiled, "Trust Clayton's self-control."
Mentioning Clayton, Molly didn't dare say more. She was afraid Gavin would get jealous and act on his desires.
He was the worst!
After this incident, Natalie didn't see Grant for a long time.
But Grant heard about her.
In early April, at a business event, he overheard someone talking about the Devereux family. Gavin's sister was getting engaged to the Percy family's son, her childhood friend.
The person even showed a photo.
It was Natalie and Clayton, looking very happy together.
People around him talked, unaware of Grant's past with Natalie, making crude jokes, "Look at Mr. Percy's muscles. His wife must be very happy."
Everyone laughed suggestively.
Only Grant drank heavily, eventually stumbling to the restroom to vomit. He leaned on the sink, red-eyed, staring at his reflection.
Almost two months had passed, and he was still in pain.
It was a two-person affair, so why was he the only one suffering?
