Chapter 499 Cynthia, Call My Name!

Andrew held Chloe close, fireworks lighting up the city in a burst of colors. In their quiet little corner, everything felt so peaceful.

Andrew hugged Chloe tighter, letting her rest her head on his shoulder. After a long, silent moment, Chloe whispered, "Andrew, you don't have to do this. I'm not that fragile!"

She gave a small smile, "That was years ago. It's not worth keeping them apart because of it! I'm not as naive as I used to be!"

But Andrew wished she could stay naive forever. He was much older than her, and the time he had left was limited.

Grateful for her unwavering companionship, they spent their lives together. Andrew had thought about it; after he was gone, Chloe would need someone to take care of her. Gavin would have to step up. Luckily, they had raised Gavin well.

They didn't say much after that. With each passing year, Chloe cherished the days she spent with Andrew.

Natalie came running up from downstairs. She snuggled up to Andrew's shoulder, looking at him with her big, soft eyes, "Daddy, I want to set off more fireworks!"

Andrew patted her head, "Ask the butler to help you."

Natalie pouted, "He's scared and cold. He's already asleep!"

Andrew, always doting on Natalie, put on his coat and pulled Chloe up, "Let's go down and take a look!"

Chloe was reluctant, but Andrew still took her downstairs.

Fireworks lit up the sky, sparks flying everywhere, and Natalie jumped around happily.

Andrew turned to Chloe. She still looked so young, with that captivating sparkle in her eyes. It reminded him of the year he went to Syeattel for business and brought her two stuffed animals. It was just as heartwarming.

Andrew walked over to her, gently pulling her into his arms. Chloe would always be his little girl.

Gavin drove Molly home, following her brother Anthony's car and parking in the yard. As the car stopped, Molly saw her family getting out and was about to follow.

Gavin reached out to stop her. She looked up at him.

Gavin's voice was low, "Wanna go for a walk? Molly, I'm really happy."

Molly's emotions were all over the place. She hadn't expected Chloe to accept her so easily. It felt like a dream, making her hesitant to believe it. But she had her pride and whispered, "It wasn't appropriate to stay out like that night."

Gavin laughed, unbuckling his seatbelt and leaning closer, his voice low. "We've done it before."

Molly blushed, pushing him away to keep him from getting closer.

Gavin chuckled softly, unbuckling her seatbelt, "How about a cup of hot cocoa at your place?"

Molly couldn't refuse, nor did she want to.

Gavin got out of the car and opened the door for her. The young couple walked into the villa side by side.

Nathan sat comfortably and said to Gavin, "Wanna play a game of chess?"

Gavin took off his coat and sat down, "Sure thing!"

Nathan placed a piece on the board, casually asking, "When did it start?"

He asked, and Gavin answered.

Molly felt uncomfortable and soon found an excuse to go upstairs. Stephanie Chambers, Molly's sister-in-law, laughed and said, "Molly is shy!"

Gavin looked up towards the stairs.

Nathan tapped his hand, "Focus!"

Gavin grinned and zeroed in on the game. He had no plans of heading home anytime soon.

After a while, he grabbed his coat and headed upstairs like he owned the place. Nathan's eyes widened, pointing at Gavin and saying to Amanda, "Isn't he being a bit too comfortable, acting like this is his home?"

Amanda snorted, "Didn't you bring this on yourself?"

Nathan shook his head, "Clearly, Molly brought this on! Do I have that kind of charm?"

Amanda burst into laughter.

Nathan hugged Amanda, "Alright, let the young folks handle their own business!"

Gavin pushed the door open and walked in. Molly hadn't gone to bed yet. She had taken a shower and was lounging on the sofa in her comfy clothes, playing with some small gifts. She looked like a little girl.

Gavin draped his coat over the back of the sofa and hugged her from behind, gently kissing her chin.

Molly turned her head, "Aren't you going home?"

Gavin said straight up, "I'm staying here tonight."

Molly tried to get him to leave, but she underestimated Gavin's stubbornness. He shamelessly said, "Nathan invited me! So, should I sleep with you or on the sofa?"

Molly saw he wasn't joking. She bit her lip, "You sleep on the sofa."

Gavin chuckled and kissed her red lips, "You sleep on the sofa with me."

Molly called him a jerk.

Gavin laughed heartily. He rarely felt this relaxed. In his memory, he had thrown himself into his career early to take over his father's responsibilities, focusing only on his studies and work.

He was handsome and charming, and Molly quickly softened. Gavin gently pinched her cheek. He took a gift from his pocket and placed it in her hand.

Molly carefully unwrapped it. Gavin just smiled.

In Molly's palm was a delicate gold locket, intricately designed, with their names engraved on it.

Gavin put it on her, whispering, "I bought this especially on my trip to Syeattel."

Molly loved it. She looked up at Gavin, wanting to ask if having her meant he wouldn't have anyone else. Though inexperienced, she vaguely knew that while they were together, Gavin hadn't been with anyone else.

The first time having sex, they both felt pain. He had sweated a lot. But what about the future? Would he have someone else?

Molly didn't dare ask, afraid of not getting the answer she wanted and feeling embarrassed.

Gavin teased her, "So timid!"

Molly's cheeks turned slightly red.

Outside, Anthony started setting off fireworks. The golden champagne-like fireworks rose high into the sky, blooming at the top. Gavin and Molly kissed, a long kiss, until her body trembled, and he slightly let go of her.

Molly was pressed onto the sofa, kissed repeatedly. Her loungewear came undone, and her petite body couldn't withstand his teasing, soon becoming soft.

Gavin was also aroused. He leaned over her, his voice still husky, "Call my name."

Molly gazed at him, her eyes filled with tears.

Gavin suddenly buried his head in her neck, continuing to tease her. Molly began to cry softly, and after a while, she couldn't help but hold his head and kiss him passionately.

Gavin couldn't hold back anymore. He held her tight, teasing and pleasing her to make sure she was satisfied.

It ended there.

After a long time, Molly lay in his arms, her forehead damp with sweat. Gavin took a box out of his coat pocket, opened it, and slipped a cool little object onto Molly's finger. She was still a bit confused and raised her hand to look.

It was a diamond ring: a 2.8-carat diamond, fitting perfectly on her slender finger.

She was somewhat delighted and asked softly, "When did you buy this?"

Gavin didn't answer that question. He hugged her and gently asked, "Did you feel good just now?"

Molly remained silent.

Gavin pulled up a blanket to cover their bodies. He let her lie in his arms, then took off most of her loungewear, holding her close as they slept. He kissed her eyes, "Let's get married soon, so you can be this happy every day!"

Molly wouldn't let him say that. She fussed about wanting to go to the bed, and Gavin was quite troubled. He directly told her that if they went to the bed, he wouldn't be able to hold back his desire tonight.

Molly blushed. She didn't dare move and just lay in his arms. It was actually quite warm, and she could reach out and touch the diamond, which made her feel at peace.

Molly soon fell asleep. Gavin, however, couldn't sleep, even though he had been awake for nearly 24 hours. He held Molly, still feeling a bit scared. If he had left Molly back then and she had turned to Clayton, he really wouldn't have had any way to stop it. He could fight for her, but what if she had fallen for Clayton?

Just thinking about that possibility made Gavin feel like he could die. He wanted to marry Molly as soon as possible. Chloe would still be upset, but he could live with Molly in Syeattel and visit Copenhegan during holidays. In a couple of years, when they had children, the relationship would probably improve.

A few days later, he took Molly to visit the Devereux Mansion. Chloe was still polite but not particularly close, but Molly already felt overwhelmed with gratitude. After dinner, Gavin took the car keys, ready to drive Molly home.

Chloe leaned on the sofa watching TV, and said casually, "Aren't you leaving for Syeattel tomorrow morning? If you take Molly home now, you'll have to pick her up again in the morning. Why not stay here for the night?"

Gavin was stunned. Then he put the car keys away, didn't ask Molly, and just smiled, "You're right, mom!"

He looked at Molly, "My bedroom has a guest room. Can you manage for one night?"

Molly felt a bit embarrassed, but since Chloe suggested it, she couldn't refuse. She whispered that it was no trouble.

Chloe saw her expression and deliberately kept a cold face, putting on the airs of a mother-in-law. She felt a bit pleased. Andrew noticed her little thoughts and found it amusing, but he didn't stop her.

Natalie bounced over, "Molly can stay with me!"

Gavin said, "She has trouble sleeping in unfamiliar beds."

Natalie retorted, "And she doesn't have trouble sleeping in your bed?"

Gavin replied seriously, "But she's familiar to me!"

Natalie made a face at him, thinking he just wanted Molly to sleep with him!

Andrew had something to discuss with Gavin, so Natalie took Molly to Gavin's room, a large south-facing bedroom with a guest room and a study, totaling about 1,000 square feet. Natalie opened the master bedroom door and turned on the air conditioning.

Molly immediately knew it was Gavin's room, with many books and quite a few figurines. She looked at each one. Natalie didn't disturb her and also looked around.

On Gavin's bedside table was a sketchbook, looking like it had been torn and then pieced back together. Molly was stunned, recognizing it as something she had drawn when she was young, torn up by Gavin and later pieced back together by her.

She had always thought it was lost, but it turned out to be with Gavin! She picked it up, her slender fingers gently tracing the drawings, feeling a bit dazed.

When Gavin came in, he saw her in a daze. He pulled Natalie out, closed the door, and walked up behind Molly, whispering, "For a long time, I hated you. I even used that hatred to push myself to study hard! So back then, even though we had good times together and I liked you a lot, I insisted on thinking it was all revenge."

Gavin's voice trembled a bit. He gently hugged Molly, whispering, "Molly, I'm sorry."

Molly lowered her head, still looking at the sketchbook. She whispered, "Do you regret hating me? If you hadn't hated me, we wouldn't be together?"

Gavin knocked her on the head, "Silly girl!" He put the sketchbook aside and gently hugged her again, sighing, "Molly, do you believe in fate? I didn't before, but now I think this must be fate."

He had once tried to escape, but he couldn't. So he followed his heart and chose to love her, for a lifetime. He was also glad that he had found his love at a younger age than his father did. He and Molly were about the same age, and they could spend a long time together.

Gavin liked this feeling. He softly asked her if she loved him.

Molly was quite surprised. She had never thought Gavin would like to hear that. When they were together before, they never said such things.

Gavin held her and whispered, "The past is the past. Back then, we were just getting along, but now I want to be serious with you for a lifetime! Molly, do you love me?"

He thought he was demanding and possessive. The amount of emotion he invested, he needed the other person to reciprocate equally. Not a bit less!

Molly didn't want to say it easily. She played with his shirt buttons and whispered, "I'll tell you on our wedding night."

Gavin suddenly kissed her.

That night, Gavin still didn't touch her! Molly relaxed, but also felt he was acting strange.

Gavin pinched her cheek, "I'm planning to drive back to Syeattel! We can have some fun on the way."

Molly was pleasantly surprised, "Really? Is Natalie coming with us?"

Natalie was going to Syeattel for college, so Molly naturally asked.

Gavin chuckled, whispering in her ear, "If Natalie comes with us, should we book two rooms or three?"
