Chapter 390 Older Men Know How to Care
After all the passion, Andrew finally got around to changing the bed sheets.
His light blue shirt was tossed on the floor, all wrinkled and drenched in sweat.
Chloe was curled up at the head of the bed, her eyes still a bit red from crying.
Andrew was dealing with the cleaning.
The washing machine was doing its thing with the sheets, and he'd already washed and dried her underwear. He even picked up that shirt. She thought he'd chuck it, but Andrew, being the penny-pincher he was, said it could still be worn after a wash.
Seriously, who'd wear that again?
Chloe was fuming!
In the laundry room, Andrew's eyes were soft.
He'd been running around for days and was dead tired, but just being with her and holding her made all the exhaustion vanish.
All that was left was pure satisfaction.
After wrapping up those chores, he brought her underwear back to her.
Sure, she had some here, but they'd been untouched for years, and she was too squeamish to wear them, worried about bugs or whatever!
Andrew handed it over, and Chloe took it, slipping it on under the covers.
It was late, and Andrew patted her head. “Wanna chat for a bit, or just crash?”
She turned away, not in the mood to talk.
Andrew chuckled.
He leaned in close and whispered, “I'm gonna step out for a smoke, then I'll be back.”
Chloe ignored him.
He wasn't mad, but just as he was about to leave, she grabbed his arm.
Softly, she said, “You're not going anywhere.”
Andrew looked at her pale, slender arm. She was only wearing his shirt, which was huge on her, and when she raised her hand, it rolled up, showing a lot of skin.
He wasn't satisfied after just two times of making love.
So he slid under the covers and started touching her again.
Chloe struggled but couldn't break free. She was trapped in his arms, her face burning. She yelled, “Enough already! You're not young, you should chill out!”
Andrew was super sensitive about his age, especially when she brought it up.
No way he was letting her off easy.
By the end of the night, she had no idea how many rounds she'd endured!
After a night of passion, their relationship seemed to rewind to the good old days.
Andrew thought about how cold and distant she was the last time he came, but now she was all sweet and compliant.
Honestly, Chloe was easy to please.
All she wanted was a home.
Andrew made breakfast and went back to the bedroom, where Chloe was still out cold.
She was a mom, but she still needed something to hug while sleeping. At night, it was Andrew, and in the morning, he'd put a pillow in her arms when he got up.
Andrew leaned over and kissed her.
She woke up, blinked, and looked at him.
All the memories of last night came flooding back, and her face turned a bit red. They'd gotten pretty wild in the end, and she'd been really into it.
Andrew gently scratched her face and said softly, “After breakfast, let's go pick up Gavin. I found a kindergarten for him.”
Chloe woke up fully.
She sat up, scratched her head, and asked, "You sure Gavin's gonna stay in Syeattel for school?"
Andrew stayed cool. "You wanna take him to Copenhegan?"
Chloe wasn't about to be that bold.
Andrew smoothed her hair and smiled. "Let's stick around Syeattel for now! There are a bunch of kids here, which is better for him. When he's older, he can head to Copenhegan for elementary school."
He paused and then asked, "Chloe, Copenhegan isn't as bustling as Syeattel. Fewer job opportunities too. You okay with that?"
Last night, they were too busy getting it on to talk about this stuff.
Now, it was finally out in the open.
Chloe wanted to play it cool, but she could never resist him.
She gently held his hand and said softly, "If Charlotte can give up her career for Frederick, I can too! And it's not like I won't work, I can open my own shop."
She knew Andrew wanted to stay in Copenhegan. That's where the Devereux family was, and he couldn't just leave them.
If they were gonna get hitched, she'd definitely have to move to Copenhegan.
After she finished, Andrew didn't say anything, just pulled her closer, their foreheads touching.
He figured others wouldn't get his choice. So many beautiful, talented women who were also understanding, yet Andrew didn't care for them.
He chose this delicate girl. But how could others know how amazing she was?
Maybe because their relationship was clear now, everything felt different when they interacted.
But they had just really made up.
From both a psychological and physical perspective, it was all new, so there was some greed. Before Chloe got out of bed, he pinned her down and kissed her for a long time.
She softly called him Andrew. "If we don't get up, Gavin might already be out with my parents?"
Only then did Andrew let her go, but his eyes stayed intense.
Chloe felt like he was in heat.
After breakfast, Andrew took her to Hawkins Mansion. They had rarely hung out openly during the day, and Chloe felt a bit emotional sitting in the car.
It was the weekend.
Patrick and his wife wanted to take Gavin out to play golf.
Andrew brought Chloe back.
When the car door opened, Patrick looked at Andrew and his daughter, slightly stunned.
Gavin happily ran over.
Gavin instinctively called out Andrew, and Andrew lightly slapped his little butt. "Call me Dad! From now on, at home and outside, call me Dad."
Gavin's face turned slightly red.
Andrew picked him up and kissed him, feeling sad.
Besides Chloe, the one he felt most sorry for was Gavin. Luckily, the kid was too young to remember much, and there weren't many psychological scars.
Andrew patted his head. "I'll take you to see the kindergarten."
Gavin instinctively looked at Chloe. "Is Mom going too?"
Andrew also looked over, gazing at the girl he loved, his eyes full of tenderness. "Of course, Mom is going too."
