Chapter 463 We Should Spoil Our Natalie
Andrew's silhouette popped into view.
The club's crystal chandelier lit up his face, making him look even more dashing.
He stood a bit away and called out to Chloe, "Let's head home!"
Chloe had no interest in dealing with Nina. She naturally walked over, and Andrew gently placed his hand on her shoulder, asking softly, "Did you have a drink?"
"Just a glass of red wine. My choice."
Andrew smiled and led Chloe out of the club.
He seemed to ignore Nina completely, not even glancing her way.
Nina clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms.
Just then, a slender figure walked by. A person who looked like a secretary trailed behind her. It was Charlotte and Jenna. She showed up because that agent, Anouk Campbell, had reached out to her, right after Chloe.
Nina recognized Charlotte.
Even though Charlotte had retired, she still had plenty of connections, enough to support a bunch of rising stars.
Plus, she was Andrew's niece.
Nina felt a sense of familiarity and hesitated before stepping forward, "Ms. Russell?"
Charlotte naturally recognized her.
Nathan had just complained to her.
She stopped, quietly gazing at Nina, and after a moment, smiled faintly, "Yes! Do you need something?"
Nina was good at flattering, but Charlotte just listened.
Finally, Nina tentatively asked about Andrew, lightly biting her lip, "Ms. Russell, I have a good impression of Mr. Devereux and want to pursue him. I wanted to ask for your opinion."
Charlotte smiled and said, "I can't make decisions for him! But I think the Devereux Family, except for Chloe, wouldn't allow anyone else in. Miss Watson, why not seek another good match?"
Nina wasn't dumb. She could tell that Charlotte didn't like her. But she didn't dare to offend Charlotte.
Charlotte collected her thoughts, gave Jenna a few instructions, and then they left together. At the door, they saw Andrew and Chloe having a little tiff in the car!
It seemed like Andrew was trying to calm her down.
Jenna chuckled and asked, "Ms. Russell, should we go say hi?"
Charlotte gently brushed her golden hair and got into the car.
Once seated, she smiled faintly, "I won't join the fun! By the way, Jenna, although Chloe won't suffer any losses, you should still have someone keep an eye on Nina. Sometimes young girls can be quite impulsive and do unseemly things."
"Yes, don't worry!"
The black Rolls-Royce started.
Charlotte leaned back in her seat, quietly lost in thought.
Compared to Andrew and Chloe, her life and relationship with Frederick were smooth sailing, even a bit too bland, but within that blandness, she could taste happiness.
Meanwhile, Andrew was still trying to calm Chloe down.
Seeing Nina had put Chloe in a funk. She didn't show it, but her mood was definitely off.
"I didn't even look at her; she's not half as gorgeous as you."
Chloe shot him a look and teased, "If you didn't look, how do you know she's not as beautiful as me? She just said she wanted to have your baby."
She pouted adorably after saying that.
Andrew found it both amusing and endearing.
He was a guy with high emotional intelligence and knew she wasn't really mad, just taking the chance to be playful. He loved this side of her.
Without realizing it, his voice got even softer, "I wouldn't waste my energy on anyone else."
Chloe blushed and didn't say anything.
Andrew started the car. "Let's head home, the kids are waiting!"
On the way, they chatted about the kids, and then he suddenly asked, "I heard from Charlotte that you've started investing too?"
Chloe opened a snack.
She nibbled on it and mumbled, "I have some spare money, just dabbling."
Andrew knew her "spare money" was over $20 billion.
Some of it was from Patrick, some from Frederick, and most of her pricey jewelry was from Charlotte.
Chloe was pretty loaded.
Andrew chuckled lightly.
Chloe turned to look at him and asked softly, "Are you going to manage my money?"
Andrew still smiled and after a while said, "Nah. That's yours, and my money is also yours! As long as your investment channels are reliable. We need to save for Natalie!"
"And not for Gavin?"
"Of course! But I think Gavin will be successful when he grows up and might not need our help!"
Chloe didn't respond, thinking of Molly.
She was now being raised by Nathan and his wife, but Nathan had a son who was already married.
Most of their assets would go to their son.
Chloe hesitated and asked, "Has she gone for treatment?"
Andrew was slightly stunned.
After a moment, he realized Chloe was asking about Molly, so he was silent for a while before saying softly, "The doctor has been contacted. Once her leg heals, she'll go abroad for treatment. It might take about four years, but Nathan's wife will go with her to take care of her."
Chloe felt sad hearing this.
Molly was actually innocent, and so were Nathan and his wife.
Andrew understood Chloe.
He knew she was burdened, so he stopped the car at the red light ahead and gently held her hand, "Don't overthink it. They love her very much and treat her like their own daughter."
Chloe forced a smile.
Andrew wanted to say more but eventually gave up.
When they got home, the kids were being super well-behaved.
Gavin had finished his homework and was sitting in front of the computer, teaching himself programming.
Natalie was playing around him.
From time to time, Gavin had to change Natalie's diaper.
When Andrew and Chloe got back, Gavin was busy, and Natalie was running around with her bare bottom, calling for Andrew. He went over, picked her up, and personally put on her little floral pants.
Chloe whispered, "She's over a year old now; it's time to start potty training her."
Andrew thought about it and agreed.
But he was still worried and especially doted on Natalie, saying, "I'll take care of her for a while. I'll come over at night and take her to the office during the day. A few lessons, and she'll learn to use the toilet herself?"
Chloe said he spoiled the child too much.
Andrew picked up Natalie and retorted, "Back then, you were already that age, and I still washed your underwear every time. Why weren't you independent?"
Chloe refused to admit it.
She brought up Frederick's parenting methods, saying, "Frederick's kids are all quite independent."
Andrew was indifferent. He said, "Natalie should be spoiled."
To add to his argument, he shamelessly said, "Look at Sienna, does Frederick let her be independent? He just had too many kids and wanted some alone time, so he wants the kids to be independent early."
Gavin, standing nearby, nodded, "I think Dad makes sense."
He lived at Frederick's house.
There were four kids, but Frederick wasn't tired at all!
Andrew looked at Gavin, lightly patted his head, and suddenly changed his mind, "You're right! Frederick's method is good!"
Gavin hugged his book and silently returned to his bedroom. Natalie ran after him.
Andrew chuckled, "He's probably afraid we'll have another baby!"
Chloe, having been busy all day, was a bit tired. She leaned on the sofa to rest, casually flipping through the next script.
Andrew made her a snack.
Although she complained about gaining weight, she still ate it.
As he collected the small plate, Andrew said, "If you're unhappy, I'll kick her out of the crew."
Chloe gently put down the script.
She looked at Andrew and softly said, "I do find her disgusting! But Andrew, I've done several shows without much impact. One reason is that my acting still has room for improvement, and another is the lack of good actors in the crew. Nina's character is flawed, but her acting is good and can make up for the crew's shortcomings."
Chloe paused, "I want to win an award with this show."
Andrew was quite shocked.
When he met Chloe, she was still a naive girl who only knew about love.
Today, she had such deep ambition.
Chloe continued, "Kicking her out of the crew or even out of Syeattel is easy for me, but finding a quality opponent actor is hard! I was never satisfied with the previous third female lead, and Nina just happened to come along!"
Andrew gazed at Chloe, and wanted to question whether her career was more important than him.
His eyes were deep.
After a moment, he took the small plate and walked out.
The night was still young, Chloe and the kids were all there, but Andrew stood on the balcony, feeling the breeze.
At this moment, he really wanted a cigarette, but his poor health wouldn't allow it.
There was no time like now when he realized how much he had lost compared to before, while Chloe had gained so much more. They were no longer the same people they used to be!
The glass sliding door made a slight noise as someone opened and closed it.
He turned and saw Chloe.
She had taken a bath, wearing a black silk robe, her long hair cascading down her waist, looking incredibly beautiful.
Chloe gently wrapped her arms around his waist. "What are you thinking about?"
Andrew lowered his head, gently stroking her hair and her slender shoulders.
But he didn't speak.
Chloe vaguely guessed his thoughts and softly said, "Andrew, we've known each other for eight years! I'm no longer the little girl I used to be! You know in your heart, if I were still the same as before, I wouldn't have forgiven you, nor would I be with you now. Andrew, in life, you always have to give up something to gain something, don't you think?"
Andrew smiled gently, "Is this coaxing or convincing?"
Chloe lightly bit his Adam's apple, "Consider it flattery!"
"Not very sincere!" Andrew held the back of her head, not allowing her to move an inch, then pressed her against the railing, kissing her tenderly in the night breeze.
As they kissed passionately, he slightly relaxed, lightly kissing the corner of her mouth, his voice hoarse, "Chloe, this version of you is also very charming."
He liked Chloe, not a specific version of her.
He was just a bit sentimental.
Chloe looked up at him from his embrace, "Are you staying tonight?"
Andrew couldn't resist her teasing, and he didn't intend to leave anyway. The housekeeper had gone home. Everything was quiet, and only their breaths were intense.
He lowered his head and kissed her again. His long fingers slipped into her robe.
In the midst of their passion, Gavin rushed over.
"Natalie had an accident in her pants!"
Then Gavin covered his eyes, saying, "I'll wash her butt!"
Andrew hadn't had a chance to speak when Gavin had already run off.
In the children's room, Natalie's little dress was also taken off.
She was bare-bottomed, her big eyes filled with tears.
Gavin carried Natalie to the bathroom and cleaned her bottom, using fragrant soap while saying, "I'll help you learn how to use the toilet."
The young boy couldn't help but think of the scene he had just witnessed.
Dad not only kissed Mom but also touched her.
Is that how he and Natalie came to be, and would there be another child?
If he grew up and got a wife...
Gavin covered his face and murmured, "What am I thinking!"
