Chapter 81 On the House

Frederick kept quiet.

Tina wasn't about to let this chance slip by. She turned to the professors and said, "I know the manager here. They agreed to give me a 5% discount."

They praised her for being resourceful.

Tina shot a glance at Frederick and added, "This six-star hotel doesn't give discounts unless you have serious connections."

With everyone looking surprised, Tina felt sure Frederick would see her differently now. She couldn't help but feel smug. 'How could Charlotte ever compare to me, except maybe in looks?'

Just then, a male voice called from the door. "Frederick, there you are!"

Nathan Jones, the hotel manager, walked in.

Nathan warmly shook Frederick's hand, his tone affectionate. "I heard you were here and had to see for myself. And here you are!"

Frederick gave a reserved smile. "Mr. Jones, you're too kind!"

"Frederick, calling me Mr. Jones is too formal! We've known each other for years."

Nathan noticed Charlotte.

Frederick introduced her, "This is my girlfriend, Charlotte. We're here for a reunion."

Nathan bent down and gently shook Charlotte's hand.

Being a businessman, he knew how to charm. "Charlotte, you're not only beautiful but also have an outstanding presence."

Charlotte remained poised and graceful.

Nathan owed Frederick a favor for helping him win a lawsuit. Now he saw a chance to repay him, using Charlotte as an excuse. "It's my first time meeting Charlotte, and I didn't prepare anything. Today's meal and drinks are on the house."

Charlotte felt uneasy, thinking, 'This is worth tens of thousands of dollars. How can it be free?' She worried Frederick would owe a favor.

But Frederick accepted graciously, putting his arm around Charlotte's shoulders with a smile. "Thanks for the hospitality, Mr. Jones. I'll treat you to a meal another day."

As Frederick was about to leave, Nathan, understanding the situation, personally escorted him to the elevator and only returned after seeing him off downstairs.

Back in the banquet hall, the room fell silent, especially for Tina, who felt particularly embarrassed. The things she had tried so hard to achieve, Charlotte got effortlessly. She felt like a fool!

Tina grabbed a bottle of wine and poured herself a drink. She forced a smile. "A bottle worth tens of thousands of dollars, drinking it for free thanks to Charlotte!"

As she spoke, her eyes reddened as she looked at Ethan.

Ethan turned and walked away.

Drunk, Tina shouted after him, "Ethan, you bastard, I love you! I love you more than Charlotte does!"

Ethan turned around and sneered. "Your love is too cheap!"

Tina burst into tears.

The scene was awkward. Who could have expected such an ending to this reunion?

Charlotte followed Frederick to the underground parking lot.

She sat in the driver's seat, took off her high heels, and said softly, "I should have brought a pair of flats."

Charlotte's legs were beautiful, and her feet were also attractive.

Frederick leaned back in his seat, gazing at her, making Charlotte blush and her heart race.

He whispered, "How can you drive barefoot? Let's go upstairs and get a room, okay?"

Charlotte had never been intimate with a man before, so she felt a bit reserved. She cupped his handsome face and softly said, "Let's get a driver."

Frederick didn't respond, his blue eyes deep and intense.

After a moment, he held her body with one hand and pulled her over.

Charlotte lightly hit him. "This is a parking lot."

"Last time we kissed in a parking lot too, and you wouldn't let go of me." His high-bridged nose touched hers, his breath hot and mingling with hers.

Seeing him so passionate, Charlotte half-heartedly resisted.

A man who had been drinking was indeed different, much more indulgent!

He was skilled, and it didn't take long for Charlotte to go limp in his arms. She held his handsome face and kissed him passionately, and the temperature inside the car kept rising.
