Chapter 781 Lola, You've Turned into Quite the Troublemaker

In the dimly lit car, Lola laughed.

She reached out to gently trace the veins on his neck, her voice husky and incredibly seductive, "Mr. Flores, you still got a lot of energy for your age."

Johnny didn't respond, feeling the magic of her slender fingers.

It wasn't until he could barely stand it that he grabbed her hand and brought it to his lips, giving it a gentle bite.

"Lola, you've turned into quite the troublemaker."

Of course, she was the one driving the car on the way back. By the time they reached the villa, it was almost ten o'clock, and the lights on the second floor were all off.

Only a small nightlight was left on in the first-floor living room.

Dim and hazy.

Lola parked the car in the yard, turned off the engine, and looked at Johnny. Johnny glanced up at the house and said in a low voice, "Park the car in the garage."

Lola was a bit surprised and asked naturally, "Why park it in the garage?"

Johnny opened the car door and got out.

He bent down to look at her, a subtle look in his eyes, "I need to grab something from upstairs."

Lola held the steering wheel and understood in about a second. If it weren't for the dim light, he would have seen her blush. She nodded and drove the car into the garage.

In the night breeze, Johnny lit a cigarette and walked upstairs in the darkness.

He reached the master bedroom on the second floor.

Pushing the door open, the room was warm. As he expected, Stella was sound asleep on the big bed; it must have been the nanny who lulled her to sleep.

Johnny walked over, bent down, and kissed Stella, the soft touch filling him with love.

After a while, he quietly opened the bedside drawer, took out a small tube, and went downstairs. In the garage, Lola was sitting in the car playing with her phone. Johnny knocked on the car door, "To the back seat."

Lola rolled down the window, "What took you so long?"

He didn't answer, just opened the door, pulled her out, and pushed her into the back seat in one swift motion. The back seat wasn't spacious, but Johnny didn't care.

He was so eager that he didn't even fully undress, starting their lovemaking gently.

In the darkness, their breaths quickened.

He bit her lip, their noses touching, gazing into her eyes.

Even in his urgency, he was careful not to hurt her, asking with a warm breath, "Does it hurt?"

Lola couldn't answer.

She lay soft beneath him, shaking her head gently.

Then she couldn't help but hold onto him.

He was stirred, kissing and cherishing her. He could sense that Lola wasn't feeling much, but she held onto him tightly. Occasionally, when he touched her, she would let out a soft moan. He disregarded his own feelings, focusing solely on her small moments of pleasure.

In the end, he couldn't hold back.

Restraining himself to avoid being rough. She bit his shoulder lightly, unable to bear it, tilting her head up for a kiss.

When they finished, half an hour had passed.

Sweat cooled, the car was quiet, only their faint breaths audible.

Johnny calmed down, savoring the moment, then gently asked the woman in his arms, "Need help getting dressed?"

Lola was exhausted and guessed Stella needed care, so she softly said, "Okay". Just as she was about to move, he cupped her face, kissing her tenderly.

She couldn't help but kiss him back.

After a long kiss, Johnny asked in a husky voice, "You alright?"

He wanted to ask if she felt anything, but couldn't bring himself to. Even the closest couples sometimes find it hard to talk about intimate matters.

Lola held his handsome face, seriously telling him, "I felt a little."

Johnny kissed her gently.

She accepted his kiss, her voice soft, "And you, did you enjoy it?"

He replied, "Very much!"

Johnny then helped her dress before himself. Finally, he put the small tube back in his pocket, "What brand is this? It's quite effective."

Lola stayed silent.

As they entered the house, he wanted to carry her, but Lola patted his hand, "Are you sure you can manage, being this tired?"

Johnny chuckled softly, holding her as they walked into the elevator.

Back in the room, Lola went to shower first. Johnny suddenly remembered the car needed cleaning. If the maid saw it in the morning, Lola would be upset, so he went back down to clean it thoroughly.

When he returned, Lola had finished her shower and was sitting at the vanity, applying skincare.

He walked over, hugging her slender waist from behind, inhaling her scent, and whispered, "We should train Stella to sleep on her own! I miss making love to you in bed, it's been so long."

Lola reached back, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"I never knew you could be so cheeky. Besides, you seemed pretty excited just now."

Johnny chuckled softly.

Once wasn't enough; they had been apart for two years. Though he had a strong desire, he cared about Lola's feelings. He couldn't just indulge himself when she felt little.

After holding her for a while, Lola softly said, "Go take a shower, okay?"

Johnny lingered on her neck, kissing her for a long time before heading to the bathroom.

After his shower, Johnny initially wanted to wear long pants to cover his left leg but then changed his mind and chose a bathrobe instead.

The knee-length robe didn't hide much as he walked, leaving those gruesome scars exposed to Lola.

He had been insecure in the past, but he thought it was time to learn to be at ease.

When Johnny walked out, Lola was already lying on one side of the bed, gently watching Stella. Her eyes were filled with feminine tenderness, but also a hint of post-lovemaking laziness.

Johnny sat beside her, stroking her hair.

He didn't want to sleep, just wanted to keep looking at her. Lola moved her head to rest on his leg, her fingers gently tracing his scars.

She didn't speak, just quietly touched him.

Johnny's voice was hoarse, "It doesn't hurt anymore."

Lola couldn't help but feel for him, "When it rains, it still hurts, right? I'll rub some ointment on it for you when it does."

Johnny chuckled lightly, "When did Ms. Hawkins become so down-to-earth, talking about ointments and liniments?"

Lola hugged and kissed him, "Life needs to be grounded! Love and romance are beautiful, but we can't rely on them every day. We have kids to raise and essentials to worry about."

After the kiss, she tried to pull away, but he held her chin and kissed her deeply.

The kiss filled him with desire before he finally let her go.

"Sleep, I have a business trip tomorrow. I need to make money to support the family," Lola said.

The case was a pro bono one, she wasn't getting paid.

She had to go to Lumina Bay City for three days.

Early in the morning, Lola got up to pack and then had breakfast before heading to the airport. But when she entered the walk-in closet, she found her suitcase already packed, neatly filled with clothes for three days, all the essentials.

She stood there quietly for a moment, her eyes moist.

Even though they had been intimate last night, it wasn't until now that she felt the reality of Johnny being back and they were truly together.

At some point, Johnny walked over, leaning against the door.

A light gray turtleneck sweater looked great on him.

He held a cup of hot milk, sipping it as he asked, "Is there anything else you need? I'll drive you to the airport."

Lola closed the suitcase, wrapping her arms around his neck, "Mr. Flores, you're so thoughtful!"

Johnny moved the cup away and said, "Last night in the car, you didn't call me Mr. Flores. Should I remind you, Ms. Hawkins?"

Lola didn't want to recall that out-of-control moment.

She lightly bit his chin, "We'll settle this when I get back."

Then she went to wash up, Johnny watching her back. Sunlight streamed in through the window, casting a soft glow on her. He felt a tenderness in his heart, unable to resist asking, "When are we getting married?"

Lola paused while brushing her teeth, "Well, I think things are good as they are now. Living together without being married is kind of exciting."

Johnny was silent.

He walked up behind her, giving her a light smack on the butt, "You've become quite the bad girl! Tell me, when will you marry me and give me a legal status?"

She finished brushing her teeth, wiped her face with a towel, and looked at him in the mirror.

She asked, "Is a title that important?"

He insisted it was. She smiled, "According to data, most unmarried couples have a better emotional experience than married ones. Johnny, I think we should give it a try."

Johnny didn't want to try at all.

He gave her a deadline, "When you get back from your trip, we're getting married! Just in time for the City Hall to open after New Year's. Lola, I shouldn't have let you go on this trip."

She stood on tiptoe to kiss him and teased, "Staying home would only satisfy Mr. Flores' endless desires. It's better to go on the trip."

He retorted, "I'll restrain myself."

She laughed softly, "Thank you, Mr. Flores."

She left for her trip decisively as if last night's intimacy hadn't affected her.

This left Johnny feeling a bit lost, and anxious.

Did Lola really feel nothing?

On New Year's, with Lola away, Johnny took care of their three kids alone.

It was a bit challenging but incredibly fulfilling.

He missed Lola more than ever, not just physically, but he was eager to live their life together. But she had just reconciled with him and then left for a trip.

At night, before bed, Johnny called Lola.

No answer.

He figured she was still working, so he didn't call again. He turned off the light and lay in bed, but couldn't sleep, tossing and turning until he finally drifted off and had a dream.

He dreamt of the car accident.

In the dream, he couldn't save Lola, standing alone outside the car while Lola stayed inside forever.

"Lola!"

Johnny woke up in a sweat. As he regained his senses, he immediately called Lola again, but still, no answer.
