Chapter 538 He Wants a Vasectomy!
Lola felt Johnny's body trembling.
After a bit, he turned around and hugged her, resting his face in the crook of her neck. His skin was hot, almost unnaturally so.
Lola had never seen him so vulnerable.
She turned her face slightly and spoke softly, "The doctor will have a solution! Johnny, today was just an accident. I haven't had one in a long time."
He didn't say anything, just held her.
After a long silence, Johnny suddenly asked in a low voice, "Do you want to have kids with me?"
Lola felt both shy and annoyed. "I'm being serious here."
His expression turned serious too. "I mean it! Lola, don't you want to marry me? We could wake up together in the morning, have breakfast, then go to work, and in the evening, I could cook for you! Think about it, doesn't that sound nice?"
"It does sound nice!" Lola smiled faintly. "But we still need to spend some time together. Just because we understand each other doesn't mean we're compatible."
Johnny gave her a light kiss on the lips. "Aren't we compatible?"
"Are you talking about in bed?"
Johnny gave her a light pat. "Be more ladylike; don't always talk about these things."
Lola hugged him. Her hands were a bit restless. "Do you like that kind of girl?"
What she actually wanted to ask was whether that was why he went for someone like Melissa. But at this moment, she didn't want to spoil the mood.
Johnny knew her so well; how could he not understand? He just smiled faintly and continued cooking. Lola awkwardly returned to the living room. After a while, she couldn't help but ask him, "Is everything really okay with Hector?"
"I'll visit him another day!" Johnny's voice came from the kitchen.
Lola responded with an "Oh."
Half an hour later, he finished cooking, and they ate together.
Lola felt that he had something on his mind, probably still worried about the little bit of blood she had lost. She thought she should try to make him happy for once!
After taking a shower, she only wore a white shirt.
She sat on the black leather sofa by the window, drying her hair. She had a tall, slender figure and looked both pure and sexy.
Johnny had dealt with some work and came back to see her like this.
He was slightly stunned. Then, he walked over naturally, took the hairdryer from her hand, and turned it off for a few seconds. His voice was hoarse and seductive. "Do you want it?"
After saying that, he turned the hairdryer back on.
Lola looked up at him, and he gently pressed her head down. "Good girl!"
She turned around, knelt on the sofa, and wrapped her arms around his waist.
Johnny's gaze deepened.
After a while, he slowly turned off the hairdryer and put it aside. Then he leaned in for a kiss, his hand slipping under her shirt, and whispered, "This shirt is mine, and I need to take it back."
Not only was the shirt his, but she was entirely his.
Johnny knew what Lola liked. Even if his face was flushed with desire and his forehead was covered in sweat, he made sure she was comfortable first.
Lola held his neck tightly. "Let's go to bed!"
Their young bodies slowly intertwined, but he stopped at the crucial moment.
Johnny's face showed a bit of embarrassment. "The condoms are still in the car!"
Lola kissed his lips. She was in her infertile period and wasn't too concerned about protection. But Johnny was quite insistent. He teased her for a while, and then got up. "I'll go get them!"
After he left, Lola felt a bit cold.
When Johnny came back and they resumed their intimacy, it wasn't as urgent as before.
"What's wrong?" Lola asked softly.
Johnny pressed against her, and after a long time, he said hoarsely, "Let's leave it for tonight. I'm not in a good state."
Lola didn't push him.
After taking a shower, she leaned against him. "Are you still worried about that? We don't have kids now; let's talk about the future later, okay?"
Lola thought it was simple.
If they ended up together and wanted kids, they could consult a doctor then.
Johnny forced a smile and gently patted her. "It's late; let's sleep!"
The next morning, Lola had a court session, so she drove to the law firm.
Johnny didn't go to the office. He stayed in the apartment for half the day. Near noon, his secretary called, "Mr. Flores, I've scheduled an appointment with Damian Sanchez. He's at the hospital now."
Johnny responded with a hum and hung up the phone.
He grabbed his car keys, put on his jacket, and went downstairs.
Half an hour later, he appeared at the hospital. Damian was a renowned hematologist.
Johnny talked with him for about an hour, and when he came out, his face didn't look good.
There was a certain probability that he and Lola's child could develop a blood disorder! And the best solution was not to have children.
Johnny couldn't bring himself to take away a woman's right to have children, especially not Lola.
Standing in the elevator, he looked at the red numbers and thought faintly, 'If I have a vasectomy, won't that solve everything? Lola won't be at risk, and we can live together peacefully for the rest of our lives.'
Johnny walked out of the elevator and headed straight to the registration window. He bent down. "I'd like to register for urology! I want to have a vasectomy."
The receptionist was initially indifferent.
When she handed him the receipt and saw Johnny's face, she was stunned.
She thought, 'Such a handsome man, wanting a vasectomy?'
She couldn't help but say, "Sir, are you sure you don't want to reconsider?"
But Johnny took the registration slip and walked away.
When the doctor was writing up the order, he smiled. "Actually, this procedure can be reversed. Whenever you want kids, you can have a minor surgery to restore it! But it's best not to wait more than eight years; too much time isn't good for the sperm."
Johnny nodded expressionlessly.
The doctor couldn't help but add, "More and more young people don't want kids these days!"
Unexpectedly, Johnny spoke softly, "I really want kids."
The doctor was slightly stunned. So it seemed his wife didn't want kids!
He finished writing the order. "We're fully booked this afternoon. Come back tomorrow for the procedure! It's quick and easy, but it's best if your wife comes with you."
Johnny's voice was slightly hoarse. "No need!"
He didn't want Lola to know, feel burdened, or think he was sacrificing for her. He wanted kids, but he wanted Lola more.
Johnny put away the order and walked out of the medical building.
Unexpectedly, he ran into Melissa and Travis.
Travis was pushing a wheelchair, speaking to Melissa in a gentle tone. The two of them clearly seemed to be reconciling.
Johnny remained silent. He was about to leave when Travis stopped him. "Johnny, we need to talk!"
Johnny looked at Melissa, then at Travis, and said calmly, "I have a meeting at the company."
Travis frowned. He pointed at Melissa, his forehead veins bulging. "Melissa is like this now, don't you think you should take responsibility?"
Johnny sneered. "Travis, how should I take responsibility? Marry her? But didn't you take responsibility by marrying her back then? And what happened? Did she become a loving wife to you? She divorced you and tried to entangle with me. Who's to blame if she didn't find out what kind of person my father is? Should I be responsible for that too?"
He maintained a gentlemanly demeanor. "If I really need to take responsibility, I can only offer a compensation payment!"
Travis threw a punch. Johnny didn't dodge, and the corner of his eye turned black and blue.
He touched it and sneered. "Fine! Travis, just make sure you keep her in check and don't think about anything else!"
Travis was stunned.
What did Johnny mean by that?
Thinking it over carefully, cold sweat broke out on his back. Did Johnny see through his thoughts? He liked Lola, but he had never told anyone. When they broke up recently, he had even considered it. He had even asked his parents to arrange a blind date, but it was rejected by Frederick.
He had been divorced; Lola would never marry a divorced man.
Travis felt quite embarrassed!
Johnny straightened his collar, refrained from arguing further, and opened his car door to get in.
Melissa spoke up, "Johnny, you were with me! This is like a thorn in Lola's side. You know her personality, right? How could someone like her tolerate your betrayal?"
"That's none of your concern!" Johnny looked at the former couple and still found them pitiful. With that, he quickly started the car and left.
Melissa's lips trembled, and she asked Travis, "You think I brought this on myself too, don't you? Yes, I brought Carlton back, but it was because he had nowhere to go, and I pitied him! Johnny didn't understand; he thought I deserved it! Travis, what's the point of living? I might as well die!"
With that, she tried to push the wheelchair into the street.
Travis hugged her from behind, holding her tightly. He whispered against her body, "Melissa, don't do this! It's not your fault! You just loved Johnny!"
Melissa shed bitter tears. "Do you really think so?"
Travis nodded. "Yes!"
Melissa fell into his arms, leaning against him and sobbing softly. But she didn't tell Travis. Carlton had sex with her and ejaculated inside her. At the time, she was in the hospital and didn't take contraceptive pills, so she might be pregnant!
She could be carrying a child from the Flores Family, a child related to Johnny by blood. How could Johnny get rid of her then? And Travis, being simple and kind, would surely seek justice for her.
Melissa smiled softly, and gently caressed her belly.
In the evening, Lola still drove to Johnny's apartment because she was a bit worried.
Last night, Johnny hadn't seemed quite right!
She went upstairs and opened the door. Johnny was at home, but instead of cooking, he was sitting on the sofa reading a book, with music playing in the background.
The dining table was set with food from a five-star hotel and there was red wine!
Lola wasn't the type to be pretentious. When she was with him, she didn't bring up past conflicts. She cared about Johnny. When he was unhappy, she knew how to cheer him up.
Lola dropped her briefcase, half-kneeling beside him, and kissed him. "What's the occasion today? So formal!"
He was dressed quite elegantly: a custom-made shirt and perfectly pressed trousers.
Even at home, he was wearing calfskin shoes. Who was he trying to seduce?
Johnny put down his book and gently wrapped his arm around her waist. Only then did Lola notice the bruise at the corner of his eye and lightly touched it. "What happened?"
Johnny didn't hide it from her. "I ran into Travis at the hospital, and he took a swing at me."
Lola asked, "What were you doing at the hospital?"
Johnny rubbed his nose. Lawyers had such sharp instincts. He thought for a moment and gave her an answer, "I went to get a prescription for sleeping pills. I haven't been sleeping well lately."
Lola didn't doubt this explanation. She hummed softly. "Who told you to spend all your time plotting against me!"
She leaned against him, giving him a massage.
After a while, she asked if he felt comfortable.
Johnny looked up at her. Under the crystal chandelier, Lola's features were very delicate.
She had inherited Charlotte's looks but also had a touch of Frederick's boldness, making her particularly attractive.
Johnny thought about that appointment slip.
If he really went through with the surgery, things might feel different when they were intimate. He wanted to be with her one more time.
He pulled her into his arms and leaned in to kiss her.
Lola felt his growing desire and whispered against him, "Let's eat first."
But Johnny couldn't wait.
Without even fully undressing, he pressed her onto the sofa and made love with her!
Lola was also very aroused. She clung to him, biting her lip as she endured his possession. She didn't know if it was her imagination, but Johnny seemed different today!
He wouldn't stop, and later, her voice changed as she begged him to stop.
Johnny lowered his head to kiss her.
Their kisses were lingering and passionate, reigniting her desire.
The whole affair lasted two hours.
"Bastard!" Lola didn't even have the strength to eat, lying on the sofa to rest. "Johnny, I need to reassess our relationship."
Johnny, however, acted as if nothing had happened, even though he had been the one to be aggressive. He held her, kissing her. "Last night, you were secretly thinking I couldn't do it, and today, you're the one who can't?"
Lola bit his palm.
Johnny chuckled softly, kissed her a bit more, and then carried her to eat!
Lola's face flushed a bit. "Clean up the sofa! It wouldn't be good for the maid to see it tomorrow!"
Johnny laughed. "You're not usually this shy!"
But he still cleaned the sofa thoroughly.
Lola leaned back in her chair to rest. After drinking half a glass of red wine, she started to find the fancy meal unappealing. She kicked his leg. "I just want a bowl of pasta now!"
Johnny, good-natured as always, immediately went to make it for her.
Lola felt quite happy. While he was cooking the pasta, she sneaked up behind him and hugged him. "Why the sudden change today?"
Johnny smiled. "When have I not satisfied you?"
Lola still felt something was off, but he said, "After dinner, I'll tease you again like I did just now!"
Lola blew into his ear. "I'm busy tomorrow! Next time!"
Johnny turned his head. "What if I insist on tonight?"
Lola pressed against him, deliberately being a bit mischievous. "Don't you guys know how to take care of it yourselves?"
"I have a girlfriend now!"
Lola liked talking to him like this. Her face pressed against his shoulder, he turned his head to kiss her. "Stop it; eat your pasta!"
After eating, he went to the study.
Lola wanted to take a shower, but as she passed the sofa, she noticed the book he had been reading. It was about adopting children.
