Chapter 820 Natalie, What Is Our Relationship Now? 1

Clayton had just parked the car.

The window was down, and he locked eyes with Natalie.

He looked at her for a long moment before softly saying, "Hop in."

After waiting a bit and seeing that Natalie hadn't moved, he got out of the car and walked over to her.

Gently taking the gym bag from her hand, he looked deeply into her eyes and asked, "Why've you been avoiding me these past few days?"

"I haven't been avoiding you. There's no need for that," she replied calmly.

Natalie watched as Clayton placed her bag in the trunk. Without saying anything, she opened the car door and sat in the passenger seat.

Clayton was a bit surprised.

Once he got in, he turned to her and asked softly, "Back to the apartment?"

Natalie, exhausted from playing golf, leaned back in her seat and didn't object. She replied softly, "Okay."

But Clayton wasn't letting her off that easily. As he leaned over to buckle her seatbelt, he looked up and asked, "Been on any dates these past few days?"

Natalie lowered her eyes, meeting his gaze.

Clayton stared at her for a moment before pulling her head towards him and kissing her.

In the confined space of the car, the sounds of their intimate exchange were especially clear.

The kiss lasted a long time.

Clayton gently caressed her lips and asked again, "Been on any dates?"

Natalie stubbornly replied, "There wasn't anyone suitable."

As she spoke, her breath was unsteady, and her lips trembled slightly.

Clayton leaned in, almost lying on top of her, holding her for a long time before whispering in her ear, "Am I not suitable? If not, why did we make love so many times that night?"

Natalie pushed him away. "Stop being a jerk!"

Clayton straightened up and finally let her go. As he started the car, he said softly, "Let's go to the apartment. I'll cook for you."

Natalie didn't object.

She closed her eyes and took a nap in the car.

When she woke up, she was lying on the large bed in the apartment. It was already dark, and the room was dimly lit, much like her relationship with Clayton.

She sat up and turned on the bedside lamp, realizing she was wearing Clayton's shirt.

She looked at it for a long time.

Using her fingers, she lazily combed through her long hair.

Clayton appeared at the door.

He quietly watched her, taking in the sight of her slender body wrapped in his shirt. Natalie looked up and met his deep gaze.

He didn't come in but stood at the door and asked softly, "Why'd you agree to come back with me?"

Natalie didn't answer immediately.

He asked again, his tone slightly stern, "Do you want to make love, or do you want to eat the food I cook?"

Natalie looked up and asked in return, "What answer do you want to hear?"

He finally walked in, leaned down, and kissed her, slowly saying, "I want to hear you say you want to live with me."

He kissed her beautiful face.

From her sharp chin to her cheeks, then to her straight nose, and finally, he captured her lips.

His hand slipped inside the shirt.

Natalie didn't refuse him. When he gently pulled down her underwear, she wrapped her arms around his neck and asked softly, with rare tenderness.

"What about you, Clayton? Do you want to live with me? Are you ready for that?"

Her slender fingers lightly touched his chest. "Is there room here for me?"

Clayton's gaze darkened. "There's no one else here."

Natalie also stared at him.

After a pause, neither of them felt like making love anymore.

Clayton pulled her up and took her to the dining room for dinner. While they ate, Clayton asked about Haven.

Natalie responded with a distant expression, saying very little, which told Clayton how she viewed their relationship.

Probably just friends satisfying each other's basic desires.

The warm yellow light of the dining room contrasted with the sadness in Clayton's heart, but he didn't say anything.

He just served her more food, speaking gently, "Is that enough? Eat more."

Under the light, Natalie's expression was calm.

She had completely shed her past naivety and grown into a mature woman.

Clayton couldn't help but look at her a bit longer.

He thought about that night. For him, it had felt special because it was with the woman he loved, but he didn't know how Natalie felt.

After dinner, he had some work to do in the study.

When he finished, Natalie wasn't in the bedroom.

Clayton's heart tightened, thinking she had quietly left.

But when he walked out, he found Natalie in the living room, sitting on the couch watching TV, her eyes focused on the screen, with an open bag of chips beside her.

The scene struck Clayton's heart.

In that moment, he felt like he had gone back in time, back to their past, back to their best days.

Every time he finished work, he would find Natalie secretly eating snacks.

No matter how much he told her not to, she never changed.

Clayton's eyes reddened slightly. He rubbed his temples and sat down next to her, turning his head slightly.

Natalie picked up the remote to change the channel.

But her hand was caught. She turned and saw Clayton's eyes... He was looking at her intently.

Natalie put down the snacks. "Finished with work?"

He replied casually, "Yeah."

Then, he pulled her onto his lap, making her straddle his waist.

The position was quite embarrassing, but Natalie had no chance to resist... Clayton leaned down and kissed her.

He was urgent, with almost no foreplay.

Kissing and touching her, he took her right there.

As they joined, he looked into her eyes and asked, "Do you like it gentle or rough?"

Natalie didn't answer. She just held onto his neck tightly.

The TV continued playing her favorite cartoon, and long after... the screen went black, reflecting the image of them making love.

Clayton wanted to be gentle, but once they started, he couldn't control himself.

In the heat of passion, neither of them could think about their relationship. Their minds were blank, filled only with pleasure.

They went at it twice on the couch.

Natalie, panting, lay on the couch, with Clayton's sweaty body pressed against her back...

He whispered in her ear, "You never resist, Natalie. Are you using me as a tool to satisfy your desires?"

She didn't get angry or embarrassed.

She had come this far, slept with him, and saying anything else would seem pretentious.

Her small face rubbed against the couch fabric, her voice low and trembling with lust, "Aren't you doing the same? Clayton, you keep asking about our relationship. Isn't this our relationship?"

Clayton wanted a title.

He not only wanted a title, but he also wanted to live with her and Haven!

But clearly, Natalie didn't want that.

He carried her to the bathroom to wash up. In the steamy water, he couldn't resist making love to her again...

When they came out of the bathroom, Natalie's legs were weak.

She closed her eyes, enjoying Clayton's care, and said softly, "Take me home."

Clayton paused. "Not staying the night?"

Haven was with Gavin.

Natalie opened her eyes, looking up at Clayton's handsome face. She reached out and gently traced his high nose.

"Our relationship doesn't need to be this clingy. I'll have the driver pick me up."

She started to get up and get dressed to leave.

Clayton gently pressed her back down.

He stared at her. After a few rounds, she looked better than usual.

Her eyes and brows were filled with a woman's charm.

Thinking back to their earlier intimacy, Clayton's expression softened.

He pulled her back and kissed her nose lightly, saying softly, "Let me rest for a bit, then I'll take you home."

Natalie wanted to say she'd call the driver.

But he seemed to know what she was going to say. He reached out and held her tightly...

Their faces pressed together, their body heat lingering from their earlier passion.

Natalie's head rested in the crook of his neck, quietly listening to his heartbeat.

Women are always soft-hearted, even after enduring great hardship.

At least at this moment, Natalie's heart softened quietly, but she didn't want to tell him. This was... her unspoken bitterness.
