Chapter 695 Having Sex

When Landon finished talking, Caitlyn was floored. Did he just say Katelyn wasn't his biological kid?

But deep down, Caitlyn knew Landon was being honest. He adored Katelyn too much to lie just to win her back or make her happy. So, who was Katelyn's real dad?

Landon could tell what she was thinking and gave a bitter smile. He pulled out a cigarette and mumbled, "I need a smoke."

He felt like he couldn't get the words out otherwise. It was a rough story to tell.

Caitlyn turned away, snapping, "Your business has nothing to do with me."

Landon looked at her for a second before grinning. "You're just mad," he said.

He glanced at Caitlyn. She wouldn't look at him, but he knew she was listening. He always knew how she felt about him.

Landon took a drag and got lost in his memories. He started talking about his marriage to Phoebe, not holding anything back.

"At first, I really tried to make it work with her, but I just didn't have feelings for her. After a month with no intimacy, she probably got fed up." He didn't badmouth Phoebe much. After all, she was Katelyn's mom.

Finally, he said softly, "Caitlyn, I know our relationship is even more messed up than my marriage, but I still want a chance with you."

He didn't just start regretting now; it's just that he had already married back then!

Caitlyn got where he was coming from. After a long pause, she shot back, "Why do you think that just because Phoebe's gone, I should be with you? Landon, you've got everything now, and sure, money's nice, but I'm happy with my life. I don't need your money! And as for feelings, that's the last thing we should talk about."

She told him to stay out of her personal life.

The car was silent, just their breathing filling the space.

After about a minute, Landon suddenly grabbed Caitlyn's wrist and pulled her into his arms. She struggled, but in the chaos, she ended up on his lap.

When she fought back, Landon pinned her down, making it impossible for her to move. Caitlyn's face burned with shame and anger as she gritted her teeth and yelled, "Let go of me, Landon, you jerk!"

Landon sat up straight and gently touched her face with his other hand. His voice rough, he said, "If you keep moving, I can be an even bigger jerk."

Hearing this, Caitlyn froze. She lay still on his lap, feeling his warmth. Suddenly, she felt like crying... and she did.

In the arms of the man she hated most, she couldn't stop the tears. Landon's pants got soaked, but he didn't care. It had been so long since she cried in his arms.

Caitlyn just cried silently. All the pain and anger she didn't want to share with Landon came pouring out. She knew she was losing it, but once she started crying, she realized she'd been holding it in for too long.

The driver had arrived, but not knowing what was happening in the back, and with Landon saying nothing, he just kept driving around the company area. Landon had an important meeting, but seeing Caitlyn like this, there was no way he could leave her.

After a moment of thought, he pressed the intercom. "Drive to the villa at Tranquil Waters."

The driver nodded and changed course.

Landon gently stroked the back of Caitlyn's neck, like he was comforting a fragile little animal. He let her cry it out. By the time the black car pulled into the villa, Caitlyn was still out of it.

When she finally came back to her senses, the car had stopped, and the driver had already opened the door and stepped out.

Landon called Cherie to give her a quick update, then looked down at Caitlyn. She looked lost, her eyes red and puffy from crying.

He gently brushed a tear away and said softly, "Calm down and help me put on some medicine. You can't go out looking like this."

Before she could protest, he was already holding her hand and leading her out of the car.

The villa was usually empty, with no permanent staff, but it was always kept clean. Landon led her straight to the living room by the upstairs bedroom. When he gently closed the door, Caitlyn felt a bit panicked.

Noticing this, he asked, "Are you scared?"

Landon looked down at her and continued, "You used to be fearless, treating me like your personal plaything. Now we're just in the same room, and you're scared?"

Caitlyn wanted to deny it, but she was trembling.

Landon didn't push her. He guided her to the sofa and went to get a first aid kit. When he sat down and asked her to apply the medicine, it felt like a rare peaceful moment, as if the past hurts had never happened, as if they hadn't been apart for years.

Caitlyn said softly, "Don't get tangled up with Leonard; it's not worth it."

Landon looked at her with his blue eyes. "Feeling sorry for him?" he asked.

Caitlyn lowered her eyes and shook her head. "No! It's just unnecessary! It's all in the past."

She focused on applying the medicine. The injury was pretty bad.

But Landon wouldn't let it go. He stared at her tear-stained face and asked, "He's not important, so you think it's unnecessary! I'm still important to you, aren't I? That's why you still hate me after all these years."

Caitlyn just shook her head, but then he held her face, leaning in and kissing her.

Caitlyn's lips parted in surprise, and he took the chance to kiss her deeply. He tasted every part of her, his passion almost overwhelming.

Caitlyn was half resisting, half afraid. She pounded on his shoulder, calling his name, "Landon."

Hearing this, Landon paused slightly. He held her face, his chest heaving. He told her in a low voice that he hadn't touched a woman in years, and that he couldn't help it. As he spoke, he began unbuttoning her shirt.

When she was disheveled and laid bare before him, he couldn't wait to get to the bed or fully please her... He just took her, somewhat hastily.

For a long time, no one spoke or moved. They just held each other.

The room was quiet, except for their intense heartbeats and a few bird calls outside. Even the slightest sound felt amplified.

Caitlyn lay on his shoulder, feeling utterly exhausted. She knew deep down that even though Landon had started this whole thing, she hadn't really put up much of a fight.

Maybe it was because it had been so long since they'd been together. Neither of them said a word, just staring at each other.

Sunlight filtered through the white curtains, casting a soft glow on the luxurious bed. Landon threw Caitlyn onto the bed and covered her. He barely let go of her the entire morning.

Eventually, Caitlyn was too exhausted to keep up and buried her head in the pillow, letting him do as he pleased. When she woke up, her whole body ached. But more than the soreness, she was struck by the clarity in her mind: she had slept with Landon.

Thinking about it, Caitlyn reached out to cover her eyes.

The bed was soft and comfortable, but her body was incredibly tired. She needed rest, but she also wanted to shower and leave.

She had slept with Landon, but she didn't want to feel responsible, nor did she want him to feel responsible.

After taking a shower, Caitlyn walked out of the bathroom and was about to get dressed when a pair of arms wrapped around her from behind, securing a soft towel around her body.

Landon's hands moved to the front, tying the belt for her. He leaned in slightly and asked gently, "Does it hurt?"

Caitlyn shook her head.

Landon was in a good mood. He always felt different after being satisfied, and she hadn't reacted strongly or said anything regretful. His voice was hoarse. "Want to go downstairs and eat something?"

Caitlyn thought for a moment and agreed.

There were no servants in the villa, but someone must have come by earlier to deliver the ingredients.

Landon cooked the meal according to Caitlyn's taste. She looked at the table full of her favorite dishes, feeling quite conflicted. She thought Landon must have been hopeful when he made these.

She didn't eat quickly; after all, she had enjoyed herself today, and he hadn't forced her. She ate slowly and elegantly, and Landon occasionally served her food. "Eat this. Isn't it your favorite?" he said.

Caitlyn looked down. After a while, she looked up and said softly, "Today was just an accident."

Hearing this, Landon stared at her for a long time before slowly asking, "What do you mean?"

Caitlyn bit her lip and replied, "You know what I mean."

She thought he would be upset, but Landon just smiled lightly and asked, "So you mean I got to take advantage of you for free and don't have to be responsible, right?"

Caitlyn was speechless.

Landon served himself a bowl of soup, slowly drank it, and then looked at her. "I didn't realize you're quite open now! It seems I served you well just now! Since we're both single, we can occasionally satisfy each other's needs," he continued.

Caitlyn was shocked by his shameless words and called him a bastard.

Landon smiled again and said, "Isn't that what you said? It was just an accident, no need to be responsible! So which part of my request is wrong, which part isn't following your meaning?"

Caitlyn couldn't argue with him. Landon knew when to stop. If he pushed her too hard, she would probably not appear in front of him again.

But he couldn't help but say one last thing. "It seems you've been holding back quite a bit these years."

Hearing this, Caitlyn didn't want to talk to him. Landon didn't want to upset her, but he still gently patted her hand and said softly, "We didn't use protection just now. If you don't want a child for now, you should take some medicine."

He added, "Next time, you won't need to take it."

Caitlyn didn't respond, but her face felt hot. She despised herself a little... How did she end up needing Landon to satisfy her physical needs?

On the way back, Landon stopped to buy medicine and made sure Caitlyn took it.

Coincidentally, the child Caitlyn was supposed to tutor in the afternoon had taken a leave, and she was tired of the sex. Landon then took her home.

It was four in the afternoon, and he was in the car downstairs. He looked up at her apartment and coughed lightly. "Do you want me to go up with you?" he asked.

Caitlyn couldn't help but touch her neck. Her skin was delicate, and even a light touch could leave a mark, let alone Landon, who was like a wolf after years of abstinence. The small area by her ear was rubbed raw by him.

Thinking about the morning's events, she blushed deeply. She felt she couldn't see Landon again. Even physical interaction was not acceptable!

Shaking her head, she said, "No need."

Landon also felt their relationship was moving too fast, so he didn't insist. Now that she was with him, he was confident about their relationship... So he got out of the car to open the door for her.

When Caitlyn was about to leave, he gently stroked her arm and said softly, "Get some rest."

Her face turned slightly red; after all, she couldn't help feeling a bit shy. When Caitlyn got home, she didn't know how to explain to Eden. Unexpectedly, Eden had gone to visit relatives early, and the house was neat and tidy, with dinner prepared for Caitlyn.

Caitlyn called to find out what was going on. She sat on the sofa, lost in thought, when her phone rang. It was Leonard.

She didn't want to answer, but he kept calling.

In the end, Caitlyn answered, speaking without any emotion. "We're over! Please don't bother me again!"

On the other end, Leonard's voice was not as calm as usual. He seemed to have had some drinks.

Leonard sneered coldly, "You slept with him, didn't you? Caitlyn... tell me, were you dating me while sleeping with him? Do you think I'm a fool?"

The sound of glass breaking came from the other end, revealing just how unhinged Leonard was. Caitlyn was extremely glad she had ended it in time. The normally steady Leonard had shown himself to be impulsive and dark-minded.

When Leonard calmed down a bit, she spoke, "Leonard, I was serious about dating you. I never did anything to betray you! Now that we've broken up, who I sleep with has nothing to do with you, understand? So... don't call me again!"

Leonard's breathing became more rapid. However, he suppressed it and slowly said, "You slept with him today!"

Caitlyn didn't deny it. "Yes!"

There was dead silence on the other end, for a long time. Suddenly, Leonard hung up the phone.

Because of this call, Caitlyn was in a bad mood and didn't eat well! She checked the train tickets and looked at her weekend classes.

She simply bought a ticket for the next morning, planning to go to Eden's place and see the baby. Maybe that would make her feel better!

Without telling anyone, Caitlyn left. Upon arrival, she found it strange that Landon hadn't called her, but she refused to call him either; she was avoiding him.

Two days passed, and Eden noticed her preoccupation. "He hasn't contacted you?" Eden asked.

Caitlyn shook her head. When Eden asked what she thought, she couldn't say...

They were chatting when a major news broadcast suddenly mentioned Landon, the president of the Carter Group in Seattle.

After listening, Caitlyn felt her legs trembling. She told Eden, "Mom, I need to go back to Seattle immediately."
