Chapter 937 Sienna, I Still Have Feelings for You 2
Sienna refused.
After she turned him down, Bruce stayed still for a long moment, leaning close to her ear, listening to the rain outside together... the soft patter of raindrops made their hearts feel heavy and damp.
His body was also unusually warm and damp.
Partly from the rain soaking through his clothes, partly from his own heat. Finally, he held her in a way that made her very uncomfortable. "Bruce, we can leave now!"
He lifted his eyes slightly, looking at her.
She had put on makeup for dinner, looking radiant and stunning.
Sienna had always been beautiful.
The Hawkins family had two daughters, both attractive.
Lola was slimmer, more of an untouchable beauty, while Sienna was more voluptuous, a striking beauty.
After having a child, her figure had become even fuller, adding a touch of mature charm.
In the past, he saw her as a girl because Sienna was truly delicate.
But now, there was no moment like this that made Bruce feel she was his wife, the woman who shared his bed, yet they had skipped the process and directly had a son.
Bruce didn't linger.
He started the car and drove Sienna home.
As the car started, she spoke, "Will is at my parents' place."
Bruce responded with a light acknowledgment.
He turned the steering wheel and headed towards The Hawkins Mansion.
The rain fell like fine threads, and inside the car, Bruce and Sienna remained silent, the atmosphere unusually quiet.
Half an hour later, the car slowly drove through the black wrought-iron gates of The Hawkins Mansion, circled the courtyard, and finally stopped in the driveway.
Sienna opened the car door and got out.
Bruce suddenly grabbed her slender wrist and said in a low voice, "At this hour, your parents are probably still awake. I'll go in with you."
Sienna turned to look at him.
Suddenly, her heart raced, and an indescribable feeling surged within her.
It finally turned into a slight dampness at the corner of her eyes.
Sienna gently pulled away from him, opened the car door, and got out.
Bruce moved quickly, getting out before her and holding an umbrella over her. They were about 150 feet from the front door.
The rain was coming down harder.
Bruce wrapped his arm around her thin shoulders, walking side by side with her. The rain hit the black umbrella he held, making a crisp, bead-like sound.
As they stepped inside, he suddenly tightened his grip on her hand.
His eyes, under the soft yellow light, seemed unfathomable.
This moment was so peaceful.
Bruce longed for Sienna, not out of desire, but a deep yearning for her to always be by his side, to see her, to talk to her, to sit together at home, even if just doing trivial things.
He found it fulfilling and beautiful.
These were feelings he hadn't experienced when they got married.
Back then, he had regrets.
Not because he liked Freya, not because he couldn't let go of old feelings, but because he couldn't accept his own mistakes.
Two years later, after he and Sienna had been apart, after she had given him a son, his feelings had completely changed.
But the love in Sienna's heart had faded away.
Bruce turned to the person beside him and said, "I'm sorry."
Sienna's body stiffened.
She thought she understood what he meant. Under the light, her expression was calm. "Let's go inside."
Bruce wanted to say more, but Frederick's voice came from inside, "Why are you still dawdling at the door? Will has been fussing for a while now. What, did we interrupt your romantic moment?"
They didn't linger any longer. Sienna went in first.
Sure enough, little Will was crying, probably missing his mom!
Sienna picked up Will and kissed him.
Instantly, Will stopped crying, snuggling obediently in Sienna's arms, looking chubby and adorable.
Bruce also wanted to hold Will, but in front of Frederick, he didn't dare.
So he respectfully stepped forward, "Dad!"
