Chapter 405 Taking Her for Granted Now That You've Got Her

The two were super tight.

Even through their coats, they could feel each other's heat.

Andrew was especially toasty; especially since his dress pants down there were thin, he made her legs feel all wobbly.

Chloe glanced up at him.

Their eyes locked, and hers were still a bit red.

She was pissed, yet he could still be aroused!

So Chloe felt both embarrassed and mad.

Andrew looked at her slightly flushed face, feeling a weird spark.

She was an open book, easy to read.

So instead of backing off, he leaned in closer, his pure masculine heat pressing against her, leaving her flustered, only able to softly plead, "Stop; don't do this!"

Andrew reached out and touched her neck.

"Aren't you hot?" Andrew took off her coat and casually tossed it onto the nearby sofa.

Chloe turned her face away, flustered, not letting him touch anywhere else. "Andrew, I'm still mad at you!"

Andrew stopped his hand.

He looked at her intently, his gaze unreadable.

He gently touched her fair face.

Andrew said softly, "Chloe, I did have a thing with her when I was younger! I don't deny that I had feelings, but those feelings weren't deep enough to keep us together. We went our separate ways, as it had to be!"

Chloe's lips trembled.

She knew he was telling the truth, but she couldn't help but be upset seeing his first love give him a tie right in front of her.

Moreover, this person had worked by his side for four years.

Chloe couldn't argue with him.

Andrew, always good at sweet-talking, carried her to the sofa, kissing her from above.

Her falling tears were all kissed away by him.

Andrew took off his coat, gently hugging her. She could feel the warm strength of his arms.

Passion was building.

Chloe tilted her head back, accepting his kiss.

The beautiful printed shirt was pulled down to her thin shoulders, her skin looking very enticing under the light. Andrew knew he should comfort her more tonight, but he couldn't hold back.

He kissed her while unbuckling his belt with one hand.

His usually dignified face was now filled with desire.

Chloe blushed. She slightly lifted her body, her delicate spine arching to meet him.

She gently stroked his handsome face, whispering, "You refined scoundrel!"

The man's gaze was deep and unreadable.

At this moment, intimacy was only natural, and Andrew was finding it hard to bear.

Just then, there was a knock on the door.

Adeline walked in with hot cocoa.

"Is Chloe feeling better? Women need to take good care of their bodies!"

Adeline stopped in her tracks.

She saw her excellent son, pressing down on Chloe, almost fully undressed.

Adeline was not calm.

Normally, Adeline wouldn't interfere in the young couple's affairs, and she didn't want to, but she couldn't accept this scene.

"A woman on her period needs to be careful!" Adeline covered her eyes, placing the hot cocoa on the coffee table. "Andrew, get off her! Stop fooling around!"

Andrew's Adam's apple bobbed twice, and he looked down at Chloe.

She was all flustered, trying to pull her shirt back on, but in that mess, it was impossible to do it right. Her disheveled look was even more attractive.

Andrew mentally ran through some documents.

He barely managed to chill out.

He lightly patted Chloe's butt. "Go to the bathroom and fix yourself up!"

Chloe, feeling shy, took the chance to bolt.

Andrew straightened up, buttoning his shirt one by one, getting back to his dignified look, and even smiled at Adeline. "You really have the worst timing!"

Adeline sneered. "You still have the nerve!"

She glanced towards the bathroom, lowering her voice. "Are you taking her for granted now that you've got her? You never treated your previous girlfriends like this."

Andrew found it both funny and annoying.

He sat next to Adeline. "Are you mad?"

"A little!"

Andrew patted Adeline's hand, gently saying, "How could I treat Chloe like that? She's the wife I longed for. I respect her more than anything! I just said that she got her period offhand when she was mad."

Adeline finally felt reassured.

She pointed to the hot cocoa. "Then drink it! Or I won't feel at ease."

Andrew smiled and drank the hot cocoa.

Adeline soon left, but Chloe was still hiding in the bathroom.

Andrew sat under the lamp.

Though their moment got interrupted, he didn't feel any anger, just tenderness.

He quietly slipped into the bathroom.

Chloe was washing her face, her face covered in foam.

He hugged her waist from behind, pressing his face against her thin back, whispering, "Adeline scolded me! Ever since you and Gavin came to live here, Adeline doesn't care about me anymore."

He was half-complaining, but mostly gentle.

Chloe was still shy, looking down at his hands, biting her lip. "Let go of me! I'm washing my face!"

He didn't want to let go.

He kept touching her, caressing her body.

After all, they had been apart for a while. Even though there had been some drama today, they both wanted each other.

So, they went with it.

She was delicate, and at first, Andrew treated her like a treasure, but eventually, he couldn't control himself, his eyes almost fiercely fixed on her enraptured face.

Chloe gently stroked his face, her voice breaking. "Andrew!"

At the crucial moment, he still remembered to use protection, which surprised her.

Afterwards, she nestled in his sweaty embrace, her fingers lightly tracing his chest. After a long while, she casually asked, "Don't you want another kid?"

Andrew hugged her, glancing at the trash can.

He kissed her and said, "It's too soon! Let's enjoy some time together after the wedding. Once you're used to married life, we can think about it."

After all, he planned to have Gavin live in Syeattel for a while.

During that time, he would be super busy.

Having another kid would be too much for Chloe to handle.

Hearing this, Chloe didn't say anything.

She lay quietly for a while, almost falling asleep, but Andrew patted her, saying he wanted to take her to the bathroom for a bath. She tried to resist, but Andrew's rule was to always bathe after intimacy.

Chloe was exhausted.

She thought, 'In the future, he should totally teach the kids; he'd definitely do a better job than me.'

When she woke up, Andrew had already left for work, picked up by the driver early in the morning.

Chloe slept in until ten, got up, washed up, and was about to head out when her phone rang.

It was Charlotte calling.

Charlotte's voice was gentle. "Are you getting used to staying at Andrew's place?"

Chloe blushed. "It's okay!"

Charlotte then told her she was planning to return to Copenhegan in a few days, and the kids would be coming too.

Chloe was pretty stoked.

When she got excited, she became chatty. "Charlotte, I'll prepare a gift for you. I'll be your aunt by marriage, anyway!"

Charlotte was taken aback. Then she softly said, "I'll have Frederick deal with you later."

Chloe got scared!

Charlotte hung up the phone and said to the man on the sofa, "Chloe said she wants to prepare a gift for me! She wants me to call her Aunt."

Immediately, Frederick sent a Facebook message to Chloe: [Should I call you Aunt too?]

Chloe got even more scared.

Frederick put away his phone and smiled at Charlotte. "She doesn't have the guts! Come here, let me see if the baby has been bothering you!"

Charlotte was packing things.

Early in the morning, Laura had sent over a lot of baby clothes, all pink and cute.

Charlotte loved them at first sight.

She was busy and couldn't pay attention to her husband, casually saying, "Who else but you could bother me?"

Frederick looked up at her.

Charlotte was wearing a cozy wool dress, looking soft and gentle. He reached out and pulled her over, hugging her in his arms.

He pondered for a moment and said, "Andrew knows his limits. There's no need for you to go now. You can wait until they get married or have a child."

In the end, Frederick was just worried about her.

Charlotte knew this well.

She gently stroked her rounded belly, smiling. "I told you, it's not bothering me! It's just a flight. Why are you so nervous? Besides, the private jet has doctors and nurses, there won't be any problems."

Frederick didn't say anything more.

He gently touched her golden hair. "Take a break! You've been fussing over those little clothes for ages."

Charlotte's eyes were tender.

She loved fiddling with those little things. She had no experience taking care of a little girl, so it was all very new to her.

Frederick kissed her. "You'll definitely be a great mom!"

Charlotte smiled.

Just then, Dana brought in a postcard.

Charlotte took a look.

It was from Matthew, saying he was bringing Landon to Syeattel for the holiday.

Charlotte put down the postcard, smiling lightly. "Frederick, Matthew is really shrewd! He wants to use Landon to get close to the Hawkins family. I heard he plans to expand his business to Syeattel."

Frederick didn't mind having more friends.

Charlotte looked at him, smiling. "His plan actually gave me an idea!"

She had a deal with Landon.

It was done, but she hadn't fulfilled her promise to Landon yet.

Charlotte found it difficult because it wasn't an easy task.

But now, Charlotte had an idea.

She called Dana in.

"Call Matthew back and tell him that Frederick and I are going to Copenhegan, so we can't host him! We'll meet another time!"

Dana nodded and left.

The door closed.

Frederick leaned back on the sofa, a bit lazily. "What are you plotting now?"

Charlotte explained the situation.

Then she sighed softly. "Landon's mother was deceived by him back then!"

Ever since she found out that Matthew had a wife and child, Landon's mother left him and raised her son alone. It hadn't been easy over the years.

All these years, she hadn't seen Matthew.

Charlotte told Frederick, "I think this is just Landon's idea! His mother might not want that man."

Frederick thought she seemed like a proud woman. He also felt sorry for Landon. But he wouldn't say that to his wife.

After discussing this, Charlotte voluntarily reported to Frederick, "I want to visit Gabriel this afternoon."

Frederick was generous. He was willing to accompany Charlotte.

The Devereux Mansion's servants were very busy. This year, there were more people in the house, so the food had to be more refined than usual. Unfortunately, Charlotte wouldn't be back for a few days; otherwise, it would be even livelier.

At the door, the butler came over and said, "Adeline, Celeste is here!"

Adeline immediately felt upset.

She stopped what she was doing and said, "Didn't we always say she doesn't need to come? Andrew has so many subordinates. If they all come to the house, how can I manage?"

The butler smiled apologetically, mainly because Celeste wouldn't leave.

Celeste was her son's first love, and Adeline couldn't be too heartless.

She turned to look at Chloe.

Chloe couldn't hide her feelings and was obviously unhappy.

Adeline sighed softly. "I'll go deal with it! If you don't want to see her, then don't."

She added, "I heard she's leaving Copenhagen soon."

Chloe didn't want to trouble Adeline, so she nodded and turned to leave.

Although Adeline agreed to see her, she had to put on a show. The Devereux family was the largest family in Copenhagen, and Adeline had a high reputation. To meet someone, she specially took out a luxurious shawl.

The butler brought Celeste in.

Celeste looked at Adeline and politely greeted her.

Adeline invited her to sit down.

Celeste handed her gift to the butler.

The butler smiled.

Adeline was polite. "Celeste! Based on our past relationship, I can call you that. According to etiquette, I should let Andrew's future wife host you, but you know it would be awkward for both of you, so let's not. Also, you're very good at giving gifts, I like it a lot. Unlike Andrew's young wife, who is clumsy. When Andrew comes back, he'll definitely make a fuss. But a little fuss between a couple makes things lively, don't you think?"

Adeline was polite.

But Celeste's face grew increasingly unpleasant.

Because Adeline seemed to praise her while expressing dissatisfaction with Chloe.

But in reality, she was showing her love for Chloe.

Celeste felt uncomfortable sitting there.

Adeline wasn't a harsh person. Celeste had made things difficult for Chloe, so she just said a few words.

Just as she was about to send her away, Andrew came back early.
