Chapter 196 I Just Want Her to Be Happy!

Charlotte was shocked when Ryan called.

She thought their collaboration was dead and was looking for a new partner. But then, out of the blue, Ryan agreed.

They hashed out the contract details and wrapped everything up in a week.

Charlotte owned six music studios. She couldn't move the original piano teaching spots, so she used the $2 million from Charles to rent and renovate new storefronts.

All the music centers had showrooms.

Brian had a bunch of car enthusiast friends, all young, sharp, and good with people. On opening day, they sold out all the cars!

Selling 200 cars brought in $120 million.

Charlotte called Ryan, who was thrilled.

He said warmly, "I underestimated you, Ms. Russell. This market was untapped, and you nailed it! To celebrate, I'll give you an extra percentage point!"

Charlotte smiled. "Thanks, Mr. Sanders. I'll treat you to dinner sometime!"

Ryan replied, "Sounds good!"

Charlotte hung up.

Brian came over with a stack of orders, looking sharp in a black suit. He sat next to Charlotte and joked, "They all want a piece of me!"

He started to lean in, trying to turn on his charm.

Charlotte gave him a look.

Brian straightened up immediately, a bit scared of her.

Charlotte took the orders and skimmed through them. "Great job! Your commission today should be in the tens of thousands, right?"

Brian's eyes lit up, hoping for more.

Charlotte, unaware of his thoughts, said, "Today's buzz might only last a week. I want to set up a planning department to promote our showrooms. Also, the first-floor lobbies of high-end malls are a goldmine!"

Brian groaned, "How much money do you want to make?"

He just wanted to relax, party, and hang out with his friends.

Charlotte's face darkened.

"If you don't want to do it, I'll call Mr. Nelson and explain."

"I'll do it!" Brian shouted.

He glanced at Charlotte again. She was focused on the plans, looking beautiful and unique.

'So beautiful! I'll win her over and show off to Frederick. I'm not to be messed with!' he promised in his head.

At Wise Counsel Law Firm, Frederick had just finished a video conference.

Cherie walked in.

Frederick looked up, sipped his coffee, and asked, "Did you find out?"

Cherie nodded, placing documents in front of him. "Miss Russell's project is doing great. She's expanding in Syeattel and nearby malls and has been traveling for business."

Frederick flipped through the documents.

With his background in law and finance, he quickly spotted issues like sustainability, which Charlotte likely had considered, hence her expansion.

"She wants to expand into so many markets at once." Frederick thought for a moment. "Have Vincent Simmons from Hawkins Group's branch come over; I need to talk to him!"

Cherie guessed Frederick's plan to plant Vincent as a mole next to Charlotte. She hesitated but asked, "Why not just tell Miss Russell you're helping her?"

Frederick smiled bitterly. "Because she doesn't want anything from me."

Cherie didn't push further, sensing Frederick's recent struggles. She wondered if Charlotte's success meant even less chance for them.

Frederick read her thoughts and smiled. "I just want her to be happy."

He genuinely wanted to start over with her, supporting her dreams, whether they involved family or career. All he wanted was her happiness.

With Frederick's secret support, Charlotte's business thrived.

In just over a month, Charlotte's reputation soared in Syeattel, and she appeared in several business interviews.

Brian was also interviewed.

They even did a fashion magazine shoot together, titled "New Star in the Car Industry," featuring over ten exquisite interior photos. They looked professional but had great chemistry.

Brian's identity as the son of the richest man was revealed.

His past reputation wasn't great, but now, thanks to Charlotte, he had turned his image around and was even described by financial media as a chip off the old block with strong business acumen.

Of course, this magazine also landed on Frederick's desk.

He stared at it for a long time.

He knew how close Charlotte and Brian were. She was very fond of Brian and took him along on her business trips.

Cherie came in and saw his expression. She said softly, "Mr. Hawkins, Miss Russell has a celebration banquet tomorrow night. I got an invitation. Would you like to attend?"

She gently placed an invitation down.

At the Infinity Shores Hotel, Charlotte's celebration banquet was grand.

Brian's father, Charles, had specially come from Bostan. Not to be outdone, Patrick also brought his wife and daughter, and of course, Frederick!

In the lounge, Charlotte was about to go out when a server knocked and entered. "Miss Russell, a Mr. Mitchell has sent a gift. He's waiting for you outside."

He handed over a beautifully wrapped box.

Charlotte opened it, and inside was the pink diamond she had pawned long ago.

It was her mother's cherished possession.

No matter how much she resented Elijah, she couldn't refuse it. But she also knew Elijah's intention was to use her mother's memory to seek forgiveness.

Charlotte met Elijah in the lounge.

He came alone, and upon seeing Charlotte in her white dress, he saw Victoria in her.

Elijah's voice trembled. "Charlotte, please forgive me!"

Charlotte was very calm.

She said politely, "I've been looking for this necklace for a long time. Thank you, Mr. Mitchell, for returning it. To show my gratitude, please accept this."

Charlotte gently handed over a check for $200,000, three times the market value of the diamond.

Elijah's face turned pale.

He didn't want the money; he wanted his biological child.

Charlotte smiled faintly. "Mr. Mitchell, aren't you being too greedy? How can all the good things in the world fall to your family? After all the harm you and your family have done to me, you still want me to go back and offer warmth!"

Elijah closed his eyes slightly. "Charlotte, whether you believe it or not, I loved your mother the most!"

Charlotte lowered her eyes.

She didn't want to hear these words, nor did she believe them.

In the end, Elijah didn't take the check and left in a hurry.
