Chapter 963 A Short Separation Makes the Reunion Sweeter
At home, Sienna was still the pampered little girl.
Everyone adored her.
She ran over to hug Amara, whining, "Thanks, Amara! You're the best!"
Amara patted her gently.
Bruce, standing nearby, teased her, "You're so tall, hiding in Amara's tiny arms. Aren't you embarrassed?"
Sienna stuck her tongue out at him.
She continued to cling to Amara, leaning on her shoulder while munching on some snacks she had brought. She taunted Bruce, "You're just jealous! I have a brother, you don't! I have a sister-in-law, you don't!"
Bruce wasn't upset.
His gaze was clear as he looked at her. He liked it when Sienna acted spoiled, but she rarely did. Probably because of her stunning appearance and height, she didn't often get the chance. When they were dating, she likely wanted to show off her sexy side and ignored the cute aspect.
But he thought she was more cute than sexy.
At that moment, Bruce's eyes were filled with affection. He said to Sienna, "But I have a cute wife."
Ten seconds later, Sienna realized what he meant, and her face turned red.
The snacks in her hand suddenly lost their appeal. She stammered, "Anouk and Amara are still here!"
"Should we talk about it back at the hotel?"
Amara couldn't stand it anymore. She said to Sienna, "Do you usually have no resistance at all?"
Sienna admitted honestly, "I used to be like that, but not anymore!"
Amara glanced at Bruce, her look meaningful.
She remembered her husband, Kingsley, and the private words he had said to her in bed. Kingsley had said, "If Bruce wasn't so handsome, could he have won over Sienna?"
Amara agreed wholeheartedly.
Bruce was indeed good-looking. His appearance was similar to Kingsley's, with that classic aristocratic charm, looking flawless and perfect.
But his temper was just as bad as Kingsley's!
Amara thought about Kingsley and then looked at Bruce. The way he looked at Sienna was different, filled with deep affection, or perhaps love.
They didn't seem like an old married couple at all!
Amara thought, maybe a little teasing could bring back the feeling of being in love!
She had planned to stay with Sienna at least for dinner, but suddenly she got a call saying her child wasn't feeling well and wanted mommy to sleep with them. Kingsley had arranged a private jet for her.
Sienna hit the nail on the head, "It's Kingsley who wants to sleep with you, right?"
Amara's face turned slightly red.
Bruce held Sienna by the back of her neck and said to Anouk, "Could you please take her back to the hotel? I'll take Amara to the airport."
Even though there was a driver, as the man of the house, he had to show some courtesy.
Anouk agreed readily, "Don't worry!"
Bruce and Amara left first. As they walked out, they noticed Eldon still standing at the door, looking a bit strange. Bruce paused and said softly, "It's over now. I won't trouble you anymore. Take care of yourself."
Eldon swallowed hard.
He left silently without saying anything.
Bruce watched his back for a moment, lost in thought. Amara asked him what he was thinking.
He snapped out of it and smiled faintly, saying it was nothing.
Only he knew the real reason he let Eldon go was because of Sienna. He had a soft spot now and feared that someone like Eldon, who had nothing to lose, might act recklessly. Otherwise, a few Eldons wouldn't be enough for him to deal with.
Finally, Bruce smiled, "Having Will has really improved my temper."
