Chapter 964 A Short Separation Is Better Than a New Marriage 2

Bruce dropped Amara off at the airport.

Unexpectedly, he ran into Kingsley there.

In Seattle, if there was anyone more refined and pretentious than Bruce, you could count them on one hand, and Kingsley was one of them.

At that moment, Kingsley, the CEO of the Hawkins Group, was sitting in the airport café.

He was dressed in a beige casual suit, sitting there quietly with a cup of coffee in front of him, untouched, looking like he was waiting for someone.

Amara pushed the door open and walked in. "Kingsley, what are you doing here?"

Kingsley looked up, gazing at Amara for a few seconds before standing up and taking her hand. "I missed you, so I came."

Amara asked about the child's health.

Kingsley remained expressionless. "The child is fine now! But I'm not feeling well."

Amara fell silent.

Behind her, Bruce cleared his throat and called out, "Kingsley!"

Kingsley's eyes, which had been full of affection, turned indifferent when he looked at Bruce. "Bruce, you're here too."

Still pretending!

Bruce was good at pretending too. He replied politely, "Yeah, I came to visit Sienna on set and just dropped Amara off."

Kingsley nodded. "Seems like you two are getting along well."

Bruce smiled slightly, wisely choosing not to respond. Whether their relationship was good or not was up to Sienna. If she felt good, then their relationship was truly good. It wasn't for him to say.

At that moment, Kingsley checked the time.

He said, "It's almost time for our flight! Amara and I need to head back to Seattle. See you there, Bruce!"

They were both competing for a project recently.

Rivals, in a sense.

Bruce stepped aside and nodded slightly. "See you in Seattle."

Kingsley picked up a paper bag and handed it to Bruce. "This is for Sienna. Give it to her."

Bruce was taken aback.

Kingsley guessed his thoughts and said calmly, "Just because it's not a holiday doesn't mean you can't give gifts. Bruce, you're good at business, but you're too indifferent to your wife."

Bruce took the bag and rubbed his nose.

He reflected on himself.

Indeed, after they reconciled, he had been trying hard to please her, but it was all because he wanted her back. It was a bit tense, and he rarely enjoyed the moment or her happiness.

Bruce accepted the gift and thanked him quietly.

Kingsley gently wrapped his arm around Amara's waist and finally smiled. "If things are good between you two, make the most of it and have a little girl. Sienna seems fine, but you look a bit stressed lately. Your hairline is receding! Middle-aged men often find it hard to keep up."

"Kingsley!"

Amara couldn't help but call his name.

Kingsley held the back of Amara's neck affectionately, making her look small and delicate next to his height. The scene was harmonious.

Kingsley gave Amara a nod and said, "Let's go!"

Bruce returned to the hotel.

Sienna had already taken a bath and had ordered dinner and a bottle of red wine.

She was waiting for him.

Dinner was set, the wine was breathing, and Sienna was leaning on the couch reading a script, untouched.

Bruce slowly closed the door.

He placed the paper bag and a bouquet of flowers beside her, then leaned in to kiss her gently. "The gift is from Kingsley, and the flowers are from me. Do you like them?"

Sienna picked up the flowers and smelled them. "I like them!"

She opened the paper bag. It wasn't expensive jewelry but a limited-edition Rubik's Cube toy, no longer in production, which Kingsley had managed to get for her.

Sienna held it, unable to put it down.

Bruce felt a bit jealous, but now he just wanted to see her happy.

He brushed her hair aside and said softly, "If you like it, I'll help you collect more next time. Will needs toys too."

Just spoil her together.

Sienna didn't say yes or no. She sat cross-legged in her bathrobe, very relaxed.

Bruce loosened his tie. "I'll take a shower, then we can eat together."

She nodded lightly and handed him a Vienner candy.

He looked down, smiled, and unwrapped it, popping it into his mouth.

Compared to other couples, they weren't very passionate, but this was good. It was comfortable, a slow and steady relationship.

Bruce took a shower and changed into more relaxed clothes.

They had dinner together, drank some wine, and talked about work and Sienna's recent movie.

They chatted late into the night, and Bruce couldn't help but feel a bit affectionate.

But Sienna fell asleep, exhausted.

She rested her head on his chest, one hand around his warm neck, half-asleep. "Bruce, I'm so tired. Can we just sleep on the couch? We've never slept on the couch before. It's pretty comfy."

Actually, Bruce wasn't comfortable.

But seeing Sienna so at ease, he didn't move.

He adjusted her to a more comfortable position and gently massaged her neck. He suddenly thought that maybe Sienna didn't really love working; she just didn't like staying home, waiting for him.

Maybe, Sienna still loved him.
