Chapter 897 Bruce, Don't Take it Seriously!
Bruce got out of bed, his ears slightly red.
As he cooked corn porridge, he couldn't help but think about how Sienna was more of a rogue than he was, but for some reason, he didn't mind. In fact, he found it amusing.
The more Bruce thought about it, the more he missed that relationship.
He knew Sienna didn't have anyone else in her life. Even though she was alone, she didn't seem to consider being with him. Had she really moved on?
Bruce's thoughts wandered, and the porridge burned.
Normally, he wouldn't have the patience to make another batch.
But Sienna seemed to really want some.
She had lost so much blood; she needed to replenish her strength.
Bruce made the porridge again and personally served it to Sienna.
She didn't want him to feed her, so she took a spoonful herself. It was fragrant and sweet, with the fresh taste of corn.
She looked satisfied, her expression somewhat childlike.
Bruce asked her, "A bowl of corn porridge makes you this happy?"
Sienna looked down at the porridge and smiled faintly. "We were together for years, and you never made me a bowl of porridge. Thinking about it, it's better that we broke up."
There was a hint of sadness in Sienna's words.
It seemed she hadn't completely moved on.
Bruce wasn't the type to make grand promises like, "I'll make it for you every day from now on," but he looked at her intently and said softly, "If I had another chance, I'd do better than before."
Sienna smiled lightly; she wasn't in the mood for that right now.
She sipped the porridge slowly, her delicate manner contrasting sharply with the bold words she had spoken earlier.
This contrast made her even more charming, and Bruce found himself wanting her again.
Bruce didn't push her. He was proud, after all, and Sienna had rejected him many times.
Later, they got along fairly well.
Sienna did most of the cooking, while Bruce took care of the laundry and cleaning.
They lived in the small cabin like a married couple, even spending nights together watching the stars in the mountains.
When they watched the stars, Sienna lay in Bruce's arms.
They both knew this relationship was temporary. Once they left the mountain, they would go their separate ways, with no ties to each other. Their time in the mountains would be just a fleeting memory.
A week later, they actually had sex.
One night, while chatting and watching the stars through the glass roof, they didn't know who initiated it, but they found themselves kissing passionately.
When their lips parted, their gazes were deep.
Bruce respected her. "Are you sure?"
Sienna wasn't coy. It was just a physical thing, after all. Neither of them had anyone else, so there was no emotional burden.
She didn't say anything, just lifted herself to kiss his chin, slowly igniting Bruce's desire.
That night, they climaxed four or five times.
Once they started, they couldn't stop. It became a nightly routine, even more frequent than when they first got together.
Sienna rubbed her sore waist, wondering if Bruce was a human jackhammer.
They indulged in physical pleasure but remained clear-headed.
But over time, it created an illusion, making them feel like they were rekindling their old flame.
At least, Bruce thought so.
So when the car came to pick them up, he thought they would start over, that he would have a chance.
But Sienna grabbed her luggage, got in the car, and got out just as quickly.
As she got out, Bruce grabbed her hand and asked, "Where are you going? Not to the apartment?"
Sienna gave him a sweet smile. "Of course, I'm going home! Bruce, you didn't think we were back together, did you? These past days were just physical. Don't take it seriously!"
Bruce's face turned dark.
What did Sienna take him for?
