Chapter 193 I love you! No doubt about it!

Lily straightened up and said, "I just ate something bad."

Charlotte still had her doubts.

Just then, footsteps echoed outside, followed by a familiar voice. "Lily!"

It was Robert.

Lily stiffened and turned to face her ex-husband, forcing a smile. "I heard you had a son. Congrats. When are we finalizing the paperwork?"

Robert stayed silent.

He stared at Lily, fragile and beautiful, bringing back all his fond memories.

Back in college, they were so happy!

With trembling hands, Robert pulled out a cigarette, lit it, and said, "Lily, let's start over!"

Lily chuckled. "Robert, are you serious? How can we start over after all this?"

She felt a slight pain in her lower abdomen and instinctively covered it.

Robert, smoking, noticed her hand. He had his suspicions but chose to ignore them, knowing it wouldn't help.

Swallowing his pride, Robert said, "I just want to reconcile. Pack your things, and I'll pick you up tomorrow."

It was tough for him to say this.

But they both had faults. He could forgive Lily, and he hoped she could forgive him too.

Just then, Bradley arrived.

He handed Lily to Charlotte, took off his jacket, and sneered. "Robert, you have a son. What are you doing here? Looking for a fight?"

Robert got angry seeing Bradley.

Bradley had taken his wife.

Both men were ready to fight.

A voice interrupted. "Today is the Lawson family's wedding. If you're going to fight, at least consider the occasion."

It was Frederick.

Frederick, always sharp, looked at Lily holding her stomach and then at Robert, guessing most of the situation but keeping it to himself.

Bradley, thinking of Nicholas, let go, though still grim.

Robert stepped back, looking at Lily, and said softly, "Tina's child isn't mine."

This shocked everyone.

In the past, people might have laughed at Robert, but now no one could, especially Lily, who turned pale.

She knew Robert didn't want a divorce anymore.

Robert walked up to Lily, his face pale and red, and said, "Lily, I was a jerk, but I sincerely want to reconcile. I know you don't like me, but I'd rather lose everything than divorce you."

Lily slapped him.

Robert took it, his eyes reddening. "We had such beautiful memories, Lily. I can't let go!"

He left, more dejected than ever.

Lily cried hard.

Charlotte gently embraced her.

Bradley took her from Charlotte and said, "Charlotte, you should go back. I'll take Lily. We have some things to discuss."

Bradley supported Lily as they left.

Charlotte's mind was spinning. She felt like she missed something. When she snapped back, she realized only she and Frederick were left. He was leaning against the corridor, quietly smoking, his blue eyes deep.

Not wanting to be alone with him, she turned to leave.

An arm blocked her path.

Frederick's voice was hoarse. "Do you really want to keep Brian around? If you need investment, I'll give you whatever you want!"

Charlotte replied calmly, "Mr. Hawkins, we have no relationship, and I have no reason to spend your money. Move your hand; I want to go home."

He didn't let go.

Instead, he looked at her with a sultry gaze.

Frederick never considered himself driven by desire. Before Charlotte, he had no women around him. But once he experienced it, he couldn't go back.

Under the hotel's crystal chandelier, looking at her delicate face and slender waist, he remembered the comfort of holding her.

Frederick's Adam's apple moved slightly. He suppressed his desire and said gently, "You asked me twice if I loved you, Charlotte. I can answer you now. I love you, without a doubt."

These words of undying love, he once disdained to say and rarely thought about.

But he knew her heartache; she felt he didn't love her.

He also knew saying it wouldn't move her, but he wanted her to know!

Though he didn't take Brian seriously, Brian had thrown him off balance. He had planned to win her back slowly.

After Frederick finished speaking, Charlotte's eyes reddened.

The words she once longed to hear were pointless now.

Charlotte shook her head lightly and said, "I don't now."

She tried to leave.

Frederick grabbed her hand. "Charlotte, I'm sorry I made you sad."

"Let go!" Charlotte's voice trembled. She shook off his hand and quickly left. She had once liked him so much, they had such deep entanglement, and he had brought her such deep pain.

In front of Frederick, she could never remain indifferent!

Charlotte sat in the car, her eyes still red.

Brian was already in the car. Seeing her like this in the rearview mirror, he jumped up. "You met Frederick, didn't you? Do you still like him?"

"No!"

Brian's usually smiling face suddenly turned cold. "You deny it so quickly. You're giving yourself away."

Charlotte interrupted softly, "Brian, you always joke around with me, but your real target is Frederick, right?"

Brian immediately became unhappy. "Ew, I don't like men!"

But then he admitted, "When we were in Bostan, he offended me. I gave him a big gift in return, but he didn't even react to that beautiful woman. I really suspect he has sexual dysfunction!"

Charlotte leaned back in her seat.

She listened in a daze, vaguely remembering something.

Last year, Frederick went to Bostan on a business trip to handle a lawsuit for Charles. Brian must be talking about that night!

Charlotte also remembered that Frederick had sent her a voice message that night.

So it was that night.

Brian continued to mutter to himself, but Charlotte had no intention of listening anymore.
