Chapter 371 He Couldn't Bear to Leave Her (Part 1)
Charlotte and Lily bounced first.
Frederick turned to Bradley, "Dude, if you're gonna go after Lily, wait till she gets completely over Robert. Don't drag her name through the mud!"
Bradley just shrugged.
Frederick shot a look at Robert but kept his mouth shut.
Being a seasoned guy, he could totally pick up on the post-hookup vibes. No wonder Lily was outta there.
And that was exactly what Frederick wanted.
He knew Robert well; he wouldn't want Tina after such a drama.
And he would have no guilt for Lily; he was just speeding things up.
Frederick and Bradley dipped out soon after.
Now, it was just Robert and Tina left.
Robert slumped against the wall, puffing on a cigarette.
Tina sidled up to him, her voice all soft. "Lily might not want you, but I'm here for you."
Robert gently pushed her away.
He smoked, looking down at her.
He smirked. "Tina, you don't actually think I care about you, right? You're just easy. There are things Lily won't do that you're totally down for."
Tina cursed him out.
Robert sneered again. "Take this card and scram!"
Robert walked off.
Tina stood there, fuming.
When she got downstairs, Robert was gone.
But she spotted Charlotte and Lily.
They were chilling in the car, that fancy golden Continental worth a fortune, and Charlotte was riding shotgun next to Frederick.
Tina couldn't believe Frederick would give a damn about Charlotte.
But now, Charlotte had hitched her wagon to the Hawkins family.
Compared to that, she didn't hate Lily as much 'cause she didn't care much about Robert either.
She was super jealous of Charlotte.
If there was even a slim chance with Ethan, Tina wouldn't have stooped to clinging to Robert.
She loathed Charlotte.
In the night, Tina stood in the shadows, occasionally lit up by passing lights.
Frederick cracked the car window, quietly finishing his cigarette. He saw Tina, and he saw the hate in her eyes.
He gently hit the gas, driving Charlotte away from the club entrance.
Inside the car, Lily sat quietly.
Charlotte wanted to climb to the back to comfort her, but Frederick held her hand, keeping her beside him.
"Where we headed?" Charlotte asked softly.
Frederick squeezed her hand and said gently, "My place!"
Charlotte felt it was kinda off.
But in Frederick's mind, she was his girl, and that was her home.
Bringing a friend over now and then was no biggie.
The fancy car zipped through the night like a shooting star.
When they got to the apartment, Frederick opened the guest room door for Lily, which had a fully equipped bathroom.
He then softly said to Charlotte, "The master bedroom has a bunch of your clothes. You can grab some for Lily."
Charlotte was puzzled. 'When did I have clothes here?'
Lily sniffled and asked Charlotte, "You two living together?"
Charlotte couldn't explain.
When she got to the master bedroom, she angrily opened the closet door, pouting, "When did I put clothes here? You're messing with my rep with your lies!"
But when the closet door opened, it was packed with her favorite brands.
The tags were still on.
However, she noticed there were also some dresses.
Girls her age rarely wore such dresses.
Being spoiled by a guy like this made her happy, but she tugged at the tags with less confidence. "I never said I was moving in."
Frederick hugged her from behind.
He kissed her neck, his voice husky. "Didn't we crash here that one time?"
Charlotte quickly clarified, "We didn't do anything."
"Do you want to?"
Charlotte's face turned red; he was too much.
Seeing her expression, Frederick chuckled lowly, his hand slowly caressing her waist, and he whispered, "Charlotte, no guy wouldn't want to! But you're too young, let's wait a bit."
Charlotte's face was burning, and she was also a bit curious.
After hesitating for a long time, she finally asked, "What age is not too young?"
Frederick turned her around and lifted her onto a nearby cabinet.
He leaned in and kissed her.
He still remembered when he and Charlotte were gonna hit up a party. She had dressed up, and he had done it with her right in this dressing room.
After making out for what felt like forever, he finally whispered against her lips, "Until you're 24!"
Charlotte hugged his waist gently.
Everything felt unreal and fast.
But it also felt right; she liked it here, and she liked Frederick.
She even really liked him kissing her and touching her.
After a long moment of tenderness, Frederick gently patted her and said, "Take the clothes to Lily. Don't worry about her; Bradley's into her. They'll probably end up together."
Charlotte blinked, feeling like he knew everything.
So she admired him even more.
She took the clothes to leave, but Frederick pulled her back and whispered in her ear, "Sleep with me tonight."
Charlotte blushed deeply.
Later that night, after Frederick finished his shower, he wore a black bathrobe and leaned on the bed smoking.
He was thinking about the next move.
Tina had been dumped by Robert, and she'd probably take it out on Charlotte.
He figured he needed to up the number of bodyguards to keep Charlotte safe.
The bedroom door creaked open.
A head peeked in.
Frederick glanced at her and patted the spot next to him, signaling her to come to bed.
Charlotte felt super embarrassed.
She slowly shuffled over, and as soon as she got under the covers, she was pinned to the bed.
She was scared, her voice trembling. "Frederick, you said you'd wait until I'm 24."
Even if Frederick could control himself not to actually go all the way, kissing and touching were inevitable couple stuff.
Plus, he wanted to see her comfortable.
Frederick interlocked his fingers with hers, gently kissing the corner of her mouth, telling her not to be afraid.
But how could she not be afraid?
Throughout the whole thing, Charlotte kept crying softly; a 20-year-old girl had never experienced this!
In the end, she was overwhelmed.
She was an emotional wreck, completely disheveled.
Frederick patiently stayed with her, holding her entirely in his arms, gently patting her back.
She lay in his arms, sweaty and feeling a bit ashamed.
At the same time, she was curious about how he could hold back. Wasn't it said that men were even more impulsive than women?
Frederick asked, "Do you feel sorry for me?"
Charlotte refused to say.
As the night deepened, Frederick's mood also became slightly somber. He gently stroked her small face and instructed her, "Don't run around these days, okay?"
Charlotte obediently nodded.
Frederick kissed her, thinking she was so well-behaved.
He thought, 'If it's real, if he had met Charlotte when she was 20, he would have given her the best of everything.'
The night passed.
She slept soundly.
But Frederick, even with a younger Charlotte in his arms, was still thinking about his real wife.
As dawn broke, the door was flung open, and Lily stood at the entrance boldly saying, "I've figured it out!"
Frederick was holding Charlotte while sleeping.
He directly called Bradley, "Come over and take Lily away!"
Lily stammered, "Why are you asking him to take me?"
Frederick lifted the covers and got up. He wasn't wearing a shirt, and there were a few cute bite marks on his lower abdomen, leaving Lily dumbfounded.
Frederick had slept with Charlotte!
And Frederick's body was really good!
Lily accidentally had a nosebleed, so Frederick became even more disgusted, threw on a robe, and dragged her to the guest room bathroom.
Lily washed her nose while shouting, "Frederick, you bastard! Charlotte hasn't even held a man's hand, and you just slept with her!"
Frederick crossed his arms and sneered.
Soon, Bradley arrived.
He liked Lily and wanted to pursue her, so he was quite grateful to Frederick.
Lily lay on the dining table.
She weakly said, "Bradley! Accompany me to the school anniversary next week. Let's be clear, I haven't agreed to be your girlfriend; it's just to save face."
Frederick squinted slightly.
After Bradley took Lily away, he went into the study and searched online for Syeattel Music Academy.
A minute later, his face turned serious.
The 2012 school anniversary of the Music Academy was held at the Syeattel Theater.
It was exactly where Charlotte had her accident, with the same place, the same people, and that familiar chandelier!
Frederick understood that it was almost time for him to return to reality!
