Chapter 477 Sweet Daily Life After Marriage (Part 1)

Andrew and Chloe's wedding reception was at this super famous restaurant in Syeattel.

They spent their wedding night in a hotel suite packed with red roses and wedding gifts.

Chloe was sitting on the carpet, tearing into the presents.

After mingling with guests, Andrew came back to the master bedroom and saw her.

His eyes warmed up a bit as he casually undid a couple of buttons on his shirt and leaned down to whisper in her ear, "Find anything you like?"

Chloe leaned against his shoulder, her voice soft, "You scared me!"

Andrew chuckled. He sat down, took the gift from her hand, and checked it out. It was a pricey gift from a client.

But Chloe had seen plenty of expensive stuff and wasn't too impressed. She soon lost interest in the gifts and turned her attention to Andrew.

He was close, with a faint scent of cologne. His skin was warm and soft.

Chloe stared at him for a bit, and Andrew noticed, of course. He pulled her closer, placing her feet on his lap, gently massaging them, his voice tender, "Are you tired?"

"Not really!" Chloe looked at him, her eyes deep.

She always thought he was handsome.

Andrew glanced around and softly asked, "Want me to run a hot bath for you?"

Chloe leaned softly on his shoulder.

Andrew patted her head, pulling her into his embrace. He didn't mention the bath again, just held her, sharing the tenderness of their wedding night.

Chloe quietly hugged his waist. She whispered, "We've been together for so many years, Andrew!"

Andrew looked down at her, his Adam's apple moving slightly, "Almost ten years!"

In the quiet of the night, he suddenly wanted to ask her a question. "Chloe, have you ever regretted it?"

Chloe thought carefully and nodded, "I have regretted it! But I can't let you go."

Andrew smiled faintly, letting down her tied-up hair, his voice even lower, "Let's go take a bath, Mrs. Devereux!"

She playfully demanded to be carried.

Andrew easily picked her up, kissing her and murmuring, "I'll please you!"

On their wedding night, they were intimate once again.

Two years later, at the Starlight Awards in Syeattel, Chloe stood on stage, holding the "Best Actress" award.

The host first congratulated her, then smiled and asked, "Winning such a prestigious award in such a short time, what are your plans next, Miss Hawkins?"

Chloe held the trophy, standing in front of the microphone.

She calmed her emotions and met Andrew's gaze.

He sat in the audience in a formal suit, with their two adorable kids beside him. Chloe suddenly felt at peace.

She looked at Andrew, her love, and softly said, "First, I want to thank the entire crew, the judges, and all the fans who love me! My next plan is to move, change my living environment, and then become Mrs. Devereux!"

Her eyes were filled with love.

She was more dazzling than all the lights on stage.

The host, slightly stunned, warmly invited Andrew to the stage.

Andrew stood up and walked slowly to the stage.

He gently hugged Chloe and softly said, "Congratulations!"

Chloe was excited and her eyes were moist.

Andrew patted her head, "It's a happy occasion, no tears allowed!"

"I'm not crying!" she whispered, unable to take her eyes off Andrew.

The audience was silent, the whole hall quiet.

A lot of people envied Chloe. But they had no idea how much she had gone through to finally be with Andrew. She had tried to move on with others, but she just couldn't let him go.

In the last row of the hall sat Maurice Hughes, with his newlywed wife, Evelyn Lopez, by his side.

After many blind dates, he finally got married. Evelyn came from a good family and was very beautiful.

She had a gentle and considerate nature, quite different from Chloe's personality.

Maurice quietly watched Chloe on stage, seeing her radiant appearance.

He had liked her for many years.

He had once wanted to marry her, but being from the Hughes Family, he was clear-headed. Once he realized Chole could never love him, that her heart was always with someone else, leaving was the best way to maintain his dignity.

Maurice smiled slightly, a hint of disappointment and regret in his smile.

His wife leaned over and softly said, "Maurice, shall we go for barbecue later?"

Maurice came back to his senses.

He looked at Evelyn's dress and thought, "I have an apartment nearby. Let's go change clothes and then go to the place we went last time!"

Evelyn didn't like making decisions. She turned her head to the stage.

Maurice watched her serene profile, silently thinking, 'Chloe, I wish you well!'

After the award ceremony, Andrew took Chloe and the kids and left first.

When they reached the last row, Chloe saw Maurice and his wife beside him.

Chloe was slightly stunned, then nodded at him before following Andrew out.

Evelyn softly asked, "Do you know her?"

Maurice smiled, "High school classmate!"

Evelyn nodded, not asking further. Maurice gently said, "Didn't you want barbecue? Let's go now, or we'll have to wait in line."

Evelyn was naturally willing.

In the parking lot, two black cars were parked, with luggage in the trunk.

After the award ceremony, Andrew was taking Chloe back to Copenhegan.

Earlier, Frederick had a talk with Andrew.

Syeattel's resources were better than Copenhegan's, so Andrew agreed to leave Gavin with the Hawkins Family, visiting during summer and winter breaks, and going to Copenhegan for two days each month.

Chloe was reluctant, but she respected the child's choice.

This time, Gavin was going back to Copenhegan with them.

Two black cars drove away, and an hour later, they arrived at the airport, taking a private jet back to the Devereux Mansion.

The car stopped, and Chloe got out. She took a deep breath, "The air here is more humid than in Syeattel."

Andrew glanced at her. Then he directed the servants to take the luggage and carried Natalie.

Andrew was usually quite strict with Gavin, but he spoiled Natalie excessively. Chloe was really afraid he would spoil Natalie too much.

Andrew said, "Natalie can't be spoiled!"

Natalie's nursery was right next to Andrew and Chloe's room, decorated like a princess's room.

Andrew still thought it wasn't enough.

He sectioned off a part of their bedroom, placing a set of pink sofas and a pink bed.

That area was also covered with a white wool rug.

He even set up a little pink house for Natalie in his study.

A busy day passed. Late at night, Natalie refused to sleep in her nursery. She slept sweetly on her little pink bed.

Chloe, after taking a bath, kissed her soft little face and returned to her own space. Andrew was looking at a report, seemingly quite busy.

"Still working?" Chloe hugged him from behind, a bit playfully.

Andrew held her hand, "The headquarters moved back to Copenhegan, so I have to be busy for a while! Before the New Year, you'll have to take care of Natalie."

Chloe lay on his back, feeling a bit sorry for him, "She's very well-behaved."

After thinking for a moment, she said, "Why did you put a small bed in the master bedroom? What if she wakes up and sees it?"

Andrew chuckled softly, "Are you thinking about doing it?"

Chloe blushed and stammered, "That's not what I meant!"

Andrew put down the document in his hand.

He pulled her onto his lap, gently touched her face, and kissed her nose, "I'm sorry. I've been neglecting you because of work."

Chloe played with his shirt buttons. "We're not short of money; you don't have to work so hard."

Andrew looked at her, and under the light, she was exceptionally beautiful.

His voice softened, "I can't stay idle!" Then he pinched her nose, "I'm also afraid of losing my charm in your eyes."

Chloe yelped in pain. She slapped his hand away, "You're just ambitious and using me as an excuse!"

Andrew leaned in and whispered, "You've gotten smarter! Chloe, don't you want to create some special and intimate memories here? This place should be where we spend our real wedding night."

Chloe blushed deeply, feeling hot.

She whispered, "How many times we have do it already?! Still calling it a wedding night!"

"Do you find it boring?" Andrew looked regretful, starting to unbutton his shirt as if to take a bath.

Chloe refused to get out of his arms.

She tilted her head up, gently kissed his lips, and softly said, "It's interesting! I like it when you hold me!"

Andrew gently pressed her down. At the same time, he turned off the bedroom light.

In the quiet, dark night, their bodies pressed together, and soft breaths couldn't be restrained.

Andrew kissed Chloe in his arms again and again.

Chloe responded to him, their clothes scattered at the foot of the bed, ready for the next step!

There was a slight noise from the small bed.

Natalie had a dream and woke up crying for her daddy. She climbed onto the big bed, hugging Andrew and crying her heart out.

Andrew's intense desire was extinguished!

He turned over, holding Natalie in his arms, gently comforting her.

He didn't turn on the light.

He comforted Natalie until she was about to fall asleep, then turned to look at Chloe. Chloe was curled up in the blanket, biting her lip and complaining, "I told you! This isn't good for the child!"

Andrew put Natalie into the bed.

In the dark night, his eyes were clear. He nibbled on Chloe's nose and softly said, "Tonight, we can't let her sleep alone. Let's go to the bathroom; I promise you'll be comfortable."

Chloe kicked him, "I don't want to anymore!"

Andrew reached under the blanket, kissing her.

After a while, she couldn't help but hug his neck, softly saying, "Let's go to the walk-in closet!"

There was a very soft sofa there. Andrew picked her up and walked into the walk-in closet, only daring to close the door halfway in case Natalie woke up and got scared. What followed was both sweet and torturous for Chloe!

She lightly bit Andrew's shoulder.

Andrew lowered his head, whispering in her ear, "Just a little longer!"

Chloe kissed his lips.

The moonlight was soft, Chloe's slender body entwined with Andrew's, casting shadows on the wall.

Natalie's childhood was mostly spent by Andrew's side.

Chloe had some free time!

Adeline's health was better than before, so Chloe could occasionally work.

Most of her work was in Syeattel, where she could see Gavin. On nights when she wasn't in Copenhegan, Andrew would miss her and pretend to complain, making Chloe laugh.

In fact, the distance made their relationship better.

When someone is tormented by longing, a phone call or a few sweet words can be enough to savor for a long time.

She knew Andrew liked it too.

A few years passed, and Gavin returned to the Devereux Mansion for his high school summer break.

At 16, Gavin had grown to 6 feet, not only tall and handsome but also a prominent figure at school.

From childhood to now, Gavin had received enough love letters to fill a bookcase. But Gavin wasn't interested.

Chloe overheard Andrew mentioning that the Hughes Family was interested in a marriage alliance with the Hawkins Family. Johnny wasn't suitable, Kingsley was a few years younger than the girl, so they finally set their sights on Gavin.

Chloe had met the girl, and she was excellent.

But Gavin was so young; wasn't it too early?

She asked Andrew, and Andrew told her he had already talked to Gavin, and he had no objections.

It seemed the matter was settled. But it was just an arranged marriage.

Gavin and that girl had no interaction, and everything would be decided when they grew up. Gavin returned to the Devereux Mansion this time to discuss with his parents his desire to study abroad.

"You want to study abroad?" In the study, Andrew sat behind his desk, frowning slightly.

Time had been kind to him, leaving few marks, adding a touch of elegance instead.

Gavin nodded, "Yes! Johnny and I both want to go!"

Andrew squinted, "Johnny too? Will Frederick agree? What about Lola, is she going too?"

Gavin walked over to get Andrew a glass of water.

Placing the cup on the desk, he slowly said, "Lola isn't going! She wants to study law at Azurea Empire University! This time, it's just Johnny and me."

Andrew slowly drank the water.

After a moment, he looked at his son meaningfully and said, "The outside world is full of temptations, and you and Johnny are at an age where you're not settled. You can go, but always remember that you both have fiancées!"

The 16-year-old handsome boy, with his hands in his pockets, said calmly, "Don't worry, Dad! I'm not very interested in relationships!"

He and Johnny were majoring in finance and had no time for girlfriends.

Besides, they didn't like ordinary girls.
