Chapter 311 He Confessed Everything to Charlotte

In the pitch black, Frederick glanced down at her.

Charlotte wanted to move.

But he grabbed her hand, fingers locking together.

The vibe was romantic, perfect for some action.

Frederick was all in too. He buried his face in her neck, his Adam's apple bobbing, and whispered, "Charlotte, I gotta tell you something!"

Charlotte responded with a soft hum, her voice a bit shaky.

Frederick rolled over, lying on his side to hold her, letting her snuggle into his arms.

They'd been through a lot; he knew he just had to keep some stuff from her to win her over.

But he was scared of losing her.

He confessed in a raspy voice, "Just now, I ran into Brenda."

Charlotte frowned.

Frederick gently smoothed her brow, his deep voice calming. "She's pregnant. I set her up to go to Boston. I know you won't be thrilled! But I wanna give her a shot. Charlotte, is that cool?"

He spilled the beans about Dennis.

Charlotte leaned lightly against his chest, staying quiet for a long time.

Frederick thought she was upset, gently stroking her hair, about to say something, when Charlotte softly said, "Okay."

He hadn't expected her to be so chill.

Charlotte lay flat, speaking softly, "If she wants to keep the kid, it means she loves the kid the most. Why should I not be okay with that?"

Frederick looked at her calm demeanor, feeling moved, wanting to get closer to her.

Ever since faking his memory comeback, he hadn't dared to touch her, scared she'd push him away.

Now that everything was out in the open, he couldn't hold back.

He gently pressed her down and kissed her.

She was super compliant, wrapping her arms around his neck, getting all lovey-dovey.

When he couldn't control himself, Charlotte suddenly said softly, "Frederick, you haven't really gotten your memory back, have you?"

Everything came to a screeching halt!

Frederick stared at her, kinda shocked.

How did Charlotte know?

He'd been faking it so well all this time.

Charlotte pulled up her nightgown, turned on a bedside lamp, and gave him a light kick, her tone a bit playful. "If you had your memory back, you probably would've offed Brenda too!"

You wouldn't have been so nice to her!

Charlotte then opened the bedside drawer, pulling out the notebook filled with red pen marks, a replica of the one from Hawkins Mansion.

She grumbled, "Frederick, you're such a shameless jerk!"

Frederick felt a bit embarrassed.

He'd been busted by Charlotte in this state.

Plus, he couldn't read Charlotte's true intentions!

Charlotte's face was flushed, and she tried to keep her tone calm. "I'm cool with Brenda's situation, but I'll set up a doctor for her delivery."

Of course, she wasn't gonna do it herself.

She still felt grossed out!

Frederick lay flat, reaching out to touch her foot, kissing it. "I'll do whatever you want."

Charlotte rubbed her foot on his handsome face.

Frederick caught it, growling low, "Charlotte, cut it out."

She rubbed him with her foot again.

Frederick didn't get mad. "Even your feet smell good."

It was late at night.

The intimacy didn't continue; it was the perfect night for talking. Charlotte leaned on his shoulder, speaking softly, "I wasn't planning to tell you, but you were so honest tonight! Frederick, from now on, let's not hide anything from each other, okay? Whether you get your memory back or not, as long as we're together and still in love, who cares? We'll make new memories."

Frederick gently touched her lips. He lowered his head, his voice hoarse. "But I still have one question."

Frederick held her completely in his arms, his voice raspy and sexy. "How did I used to do it with you?"

That night, they talked for hours, and Charlotte didn't even know when she fell asleep.

In the early morning, she woke up to find a fresh rose with dew on the pillow beside her.

Charlotte smiled. She gently picked it up and sniffed it lightly.

Downstairs, there were faint sounds and the smell of food; Frederick was probably making breakfast.

Charlotte got up and grabbed the notebook.

She had known for a while that he hadn't gotten his memory back, but she couldn't resist Frederick. Lola and Kingsley also needed a dad.

Her phone rang; it was an unfamiliar number.

But Charlotte recognized it as Brenda's. She answered softly, "He told you everything?"

On the other end, Brenda responded with a hum.

After a moment of silence, Brenda spoke in a low voice, "Mrs. Hawkins, I really did have feelings for Mr. Hawkins, but a man like him will never belong to me! Thank you for being willing to help me!"

Charlotte couldn't truly let go.

But if Brenda had to leave a mark on Frederick's life, she hoped it would be a positive one.

Finally, she softly said, "Someone will make arrangements over there!"

Brenda seemed to be crying, covering the phone.

Charlotte paused. "I'm not a generous person! But if being generous once can give you a chance to start over, then I'm willing to be generous this time."

After saying that, she hung up the phone.

She thought she was different from before; she had more control now.

She wondered if Frederick would find it repulsive!

Charlotte lowered her eyes and smiled faintly.
