Chapter 943 I Want to Please You, Make You Happy 4
Sienna was wiped out.
She hung up the phone and dozed off in the makeup chair, letting the artist take off her makeup.
She had no clue how long she'd been out when she groggily woke up.
It was her manager, Anouk, who woke her. They only had 10 minutes before they had to leave.
Sienna groaned.
She shut her eyes again, whining softly with a hint of a pout, "Just wake me up in 10 minutes! You have no idea how tired I am."
Anouk glanced back at Bruce, who was standing by the door, and whispered, "There's nothing I can do! She's a bear when she wakes up, and I can't handle it."
Bruce put down what he was holding and walked over to the sofa next to Sienna. Everyone else instinctively stepped back.
He looked at her sleeping face and the faint dark circles under her eyes, thinking she probably wasn't used to this kind of grind.
He couldn't help but gently touch her face.
Sienna thought it was Anouk and swatted his hand away, then instinctively hugged him to stop him from moving.
But after a few seconds, she suddenly opened her eyes and quietly looked at him.
It was Bruce.
She glanced at the clock. There were only 6 minutes left before they had to leave. He wouldn't have come over just to chat.
In the past, he wouldn't waste time like this; he always had endless work to do.
Sienna's voice was raspy as she asked, "Why are you here?"
Bruce moved closer, adjusting her so she was leaning on his shoulder.
At first, she felt it was too intimate and didn't want to, but Bruce was persistent. Sienna was too tired to argue.
Bruce handed her a bowl of corn porridge and said, "I got this early this morning. It's the perfect temperature now, so eat it while it's hot."
Sienna didn't refuse and ate while leaning against him.
Bruce brushed a strand of hair from her cheek and said, "I got up at five, made Will's formula, changed his diaper, and now the nanny is taking care of him. I brought you some food and the face masks and moisturizer you like. The weather in Copenhagen is dry, so remember to take care of your skin."
Sienna glanced at him. "You know what brand of face masks I use?"
Bruce smiled and pinched her cheek gently. "I wasn't always that clueless."
At least, not during the time they lived together.
She often left her skincare products lying around, and he saw them enough times to remember.
Sienna didn't say anything else.
She ate half the porridge and then put it down. Bruce asked, "Why aren't you eating? Isn't this your favorite?"
"I need to lose 10 pounds for the next few roles."
Bruce felt a pang of heartache.
Sienna didn't really need to go through this, but he respected her choices and profession. He no longer judged her decisions based on his own views.
Anouk came in, saw them leaning against each other, and joked, "You two are really cozy!"
Sienna straightened up. "Is it time to go?"
Anouk nodded and, along with two other staff members, started packing up. They left Sienna and Bruce with just a couple of minutes alone.
He didn't say anything more, just gently pinched her chin and kissed her tenderly.
Sienna tried to turn her face away.
He was a bit more assertive, his lips pressing against hers, his voice low, "We'll be apart for at least three months."
She was momentarily stunned.
Then he deepened the kiss, full of passion and longing.
Sienna thought of Anouk's words and felt it was indeed a bit too much.
Later, Bruce walked her to the car.
As the car started, she saw him standing there in the rearview mirror.
Suddenly, she understood why he had come, even if it was just for a few minutes alone.
He was making up for the past, for his previous indifference.
Over two years ago, Sienna had gone to the airport alone, with no one by her side.
But this time, Bruce stood there, waiting for her.
