Chapter 84 Ethan, Shall We Ask Frederick to Bail You Out

Ethan stumbled out, drunk as a skunk. He passed by Julia's private room, the door slightly open. Inside, Julia was on some guy's lap, letting him kiss her all over. The dude was good, making her shiver just from kissing.

Julia's profile looked a lot like Charlotte's. But Ethan, wasted and confused, thought Julia was Charlotte. Rage boiled inside him. Charlotte, with another man? No way. Fueled by booze, he kicked the door open, causing a scream.

Ethan grabbed the guy by the collar and punched him. "Who told you to touch Charlotte? She's mine! My wife!"

Daniel Brown was stunned for a second, then furious. He kicked Ethan back. "Are you nuts? Your wife in a place like this? What kind of loser are you?"

Provoked, Ethan hit Daniel even harder. Julia started crying and screaming. Henry heard the commotion and rushed over, shocked at the scene.

Despite all the earlier talk, Ethan was more out of control than ever. Henry tried to break up the fight but got hit a few times himself. Finally, security guards subdued Ethan. Daniel, wiping blood from his mouth, spat out, "I'll kill you!"

Ethan sneered. "Bring it on!"

They started fighting again, blood everywhere, while Henry covered his face, wailing. Fine, let them fight it out. He'd step in when they were too tired to continue.

Daniel had never been so humiliated. He refused to back down. "Get ready for jail! Aren't you ashamed, fighting over a club girl?"

No matter what Henry said, Daniel called the cops. Late at night, Ethan sat on a bench at the police station. Ulysses recognized him.

Ulysses handed him a cigarette. "Mr. Cooper, back again, huh?"

Ethan lit the cigarette, his mind clearing a bit. He looked at Daniel with disdain. 'How did I end up fighting this lowlife?'

Ulysses sat in front of him, speaking earnestly. "Mr. Cooper, Mr. Brown was just having fun. Why get involved? If everyone was like you, we'd need to patrol 24/7!"

They were familiar with the process. Ulysses wrote up the paperwork and asked, "Should I call Frederick to bail you out?"

Ethan wanted to refuse but then remembered Frederick was probably with Charlotte. Waking him up would definitely piss him off. Ethan exhaled smoke. "Alright."

Ulysses shook his head and smiled. "Mr. Cooper, as the Hawkins' son-in-law, you should cherish your reputation. This can't be forgiven every time."

'Cherish my reputation?' Ethan was momentarily dazed. Hadn't he always wanted power and influence? Why was he losing his mind over Charlotte lately?

But the alcohol clouded his thoughts. He took a deep drag of his cigarette. "Go ahead, call him."

Daniel, sitting nearby, finally guessed Ethan's identity and cursed. "Are you crazy? You have a beautiful fiancée, and you come to a club to go wild. What kind of trauma did you suffer?"

Ethan looked bewildered. He couldn't say what kind of trauma it was.
