Chapter 362 He Saw 20-Year-Old Charlotte In His Dream

20-year-old Charlotte was a total firecracker.

Her waist? Even tinier than he'd thought.

Even though this was just a dream.

But the realness of it all had Frederick almost losing his cool, wanting to grab her no matter what.

'Charlotte, it's been seven days since we last talked,' he thought.

Charlotte breezed past him.

Maybe it was Frederick's killer looks, or maybe his classy vibe, but Charlotte couldn't help but give him another glance.

Frederick zeroed in on her.

Right then, a voice called out, "Charlotte!"

Lily came running over, with Robert trailing behind.

When they got closer, Lily gave Frederick a once-over, then looked at Charlotte with a knowing smirk. She knew the guy in front of her was a big shot lawyer.

Charlotte stopped.

Robert looked at Frederick, a bit surprised. "Mr. Hawkins, what brings you to Syeattel Music Academy?"

Frederick's eyes stayed glued to Charlotte's face. He said slowly, "I came to the library to find a book, but I'm kinda lost!"

Robert glanced at Lily. "How about we show you the way?"

Lily looped her arm through his. "Let Charlotte do it; she's got time! Weren't you taking me for ice cream?"

Robert grinned and turned to Charlotte. "Charlotte, could you take Frederick over? He's a buddy of mine."

Charlotte looked at Frederick.

Frederick let her stare.

His blue eyes locked onto hers, and he gave a little smile.

Charlotte was taken aback.

She always thought Ethan was super handsome, but now she realized there was someone even hotter than Ethan!

"Let's roll!" Frederick motioned.

Charlotte found herself trailing behind him.

Charlotte led Frederick to the library.

Even without makeup, 20-year-old Charlotte was stunning.

She looked at the handsome guy and said softly, "Mr. Hawkins, go ahead and find your book; the library's open till 9 PM."

Frederick didn't say anything.

He walked over to a seat. He'd seen this spot before.

Charlotte had once been lying there when Ethan kissed her.

Frederick's long fingers gently brushed the back of the chair, like he was touching a lover.

For some reason, Charlotte blushed.

Frederick looked up at her, his voice a bit rough. "Can you wait for me? I'm worried I won't find my way out after I'm done."

Charlotte forced a smile. "Sure! But I gotta be home by 8 PM."

Frederick gave a light smile.

He pulled out a chair and looked at her again.

Charlotte's heart skipped a beat.

She usually loved to sit there when she came over; how did he know?

It had to be a coincidence!

Charlotte didn't argue, just grabbed a random book and settled in to read quietly.

The library was super chill. Frederick went and picked out some legal books, even got Charlotte a cup of coffee from the little bar.

Frederick got himself a black coffee, sitting there sipping and flipping through his books. His calm vibe and killer looks had people sneaking glances at him.

But he didn't seem to care.

Charlotte thought, 'How cool do you have to be to just ignore all those admiring looks and not give a damn?'

She couldn't help but watch him.

He was seriously handsome, especially with that high, straight nose.

She quickly looked away.

Frederick, though, was quietly watching her.

His wife was right in front of him. 20-year-old Charlotte was pure and untouched, not yet tangled up with Ethan for four years. It was a huge temptation for him.

He wanted to date her, get close to her.

Frederick had mad self-control; he kept flipping through his book.

At 8 PM, he still wasn't planning on leaving.

Charlotte was getting sleepy and just laid her head on the table.

Frederick put down his book, got up slowly, walked over to her, and gently lifted her soft golden hair.

He knew people were watching.

But he didn't care; he wanted to kiss her.

A light kiss landed on her lips.

Didn't Charlotte like Ethan?

Who was this guy?

Someone secretly snapped a photo and posted it on the campus network. Charlotte's face was super clear in the pic, along with Frederick's profile. Soon, people figured out who Frederick was.

He was Frederick, the heir to the Hawkins Group, founder of Wise Counsel Law Firm, and a grad from a top-notch university.

Charlotte caused a stir, but she had no clue.

In the library, the lights were a warm yellow.

She slowly opened her eyes, seeing a handsome face with a faint smile. After a moment of confusion, she remembered this was Robert's friend.

But he was way too close!

Frederick held the book with his long fingers, smiling faintly. "Can you lend me $200? I forgot to bring cash when I went out!"

Charlotte's face turned a bit red.

Frederick wasn't embarrassed at all; he put the book back and looked like he was set on staying.

Charlotte checked her pockets.

She didn't have any money either.

Frederick saw her expression and knew she was broke too, so he said slowly, "I had money for a cab ride home, but I spent it on coffee for you."

She bit her lip. "Then I'll transfer it to you on Facebook."

Frederick smirked. "I didn't bring my phone."

Charlotte asked, "Then what did you bring?"

Frederick raised his wrist to check the time, showing off his Patek Philippe watch. He said generously, "How about this? I'll ride a bike and take you home! You must have some pocket money, right?"

20-year-old Charlotte came from a good family and was full of youthful energy.

"Fine, come home with me, and I'll give you the money!" she said.

A bunch of classmates were watching, feeling sorry for her.

Someone called out, trying to remind her about the kiss.

Frederick glanced over slowly, and those classmates clammed up.

Once Frederick was out of sight, they dared to whisper, "He's totally into Charlotte, isn't he? I swear, while she was asleep, he looked at her like 108 times."

Someone argued, "Nah, it was more like 112 times."

As they were gossiping, Lily ran over. "Where's Charlotte?"

"She left!"

"Mr. Hawkins took her home!"

The sky was just starting to get dark.

Frederick followed behind Charlotte, smoking leisurely as they walked.

Charlotte suddenly turned to look at him.

Frederick probably guessed why she was frowning, so he smiled lightly and put out the cigarette. Then he pulled out a shared bike for Charlotte to scan the code. As she scanned, she said, "Tough luck!"

Frederick got on the bike.

Charlotte sat on the back and grumbled softly.

People around saw them and stared. Frederick suddenly took off his jacket and tossed it to her. "Cover your legs."

Charlotte held the jacket, which smelled like a mature man.

She didn't want to cover up.

Frederick's voice was low. "It's not hot; why are you wearing such short shorts?"

Charlotte snapped, "It's none of your business! Just ride; I'll give you the money when we get to my house."

Frederick knew she was mad.

He didn't care.

People around kept looking at them.

Charlotte thought that tomorrow she'd have to explain that this was just Robert's friend.

The night was surprisingly cool.

Frederick didn't ride fast; he took Charlotte through the streets and alleys of Syeattel, feeling the nervous heartbeat of the young girl behind him, something he had never experienced before.

Charlotte sat on the back seat, feeling a bit bored.

She chatted with him, "You're so stingy; you'll never find a girlfriend."

Frederick smiled faintly. "I have a wife!"

"Liar!"

Frederick smiled and didn't argue, then he asked her, "Do you have a boyfriend? I heard from Robert that you like some guy from the neighboring school, named Ethan?"

He rode for half an hour and finally got Charlotte home.

After getting off the bike, Charlotte handed back his jacket, biting her lip. "Wait downstairs; I'll go upstairs and get the money for you!"

Frederick was planning to take it slow.

But just then, William came home from work and saw Charlotte with Frederick.

William was super surprised.

How was the heir to the Hawkins Group hanging out with Charlotte?

But he was a pretty chill dad, so he walked over and asked gently, "Charlotte, is he your friend?"

Seeing the old acquaintance again, Frederick felt a mix of emotions.

He looked at William, his eyes a bit misty, and said softly, "William, I'm Charlotte's boyfriend!"

Charlotte was stunned.

She looked at Frederick. "What nonsense are you talking about?"

Frederick, however, put his arm around her shoulder. "William, Charlotte and I have been together for a few months now. She talks about you all the time, and I've always wanted to visit, but she never let me come."

William was actually very surprised.

Everyone in the family knew Charlotte liked Ethan.

Now suddenly a boyfriend appeared!

William looked at his daughter, gently scolding, "If you have a boyfriend, you should bring him home to meet me. How can you hide him? Look, you've wronged him."

Frederick, ever the gentleman, said, "I'm not wronged! It's just that I came too hastily today and didn't bring any gifts."

"Your presence is enough!" William was very welcoming, patting Frederick on the shoulder. "Frederick, from now on, you're family! No need to be so formal."

The two men hit it off immediately.

Charlotte walked behind them, feeling a mix of confusion and frustration.

She walked slowly, and Frederick suddenly stopped, gently took her hand, and whispered, "What's so good about Ethan? From now on, be with me."

Because of that sentence, she couldn't sleep well all night.

As dawn broke, Charlotte lay on the bed, biting the blanket, when her phone rang. It was a call from Lily.

"Charlotte, why was your phone off all night? Do you know something big happened? Yesterday in the library, you were kissed by Frederick. Now the photos are everywhere, not just on the campus network but also on trending news, financial news, and legal news. Congrats, you've been harassed by a lawyer and made it to the legal news; you're a celebrity now!" Lily was almost in tears as she spoke.
