Chapter 924 Your Job Is to Dance and Socialize?
How could Bruce not want Will?
Before, he might have only had a fifty-fifty hope for this marriage, but now with a kid in the picture, he didn't want a divorce or a breakup.
Most guys are the same; once they have a ready-made family and a son, they don't want to change.
They had their share of unhappy moments in the past.
But now, with a new life in their marriage, he realized he had neglected them before.
From now on, he wanted to make up for it and take care of them.
As Bruce quietly shared his plans, Sienna had no expectations, she wasn't moved, and she certainly wasn't acting on impulse.
She just smiled faintly and said, "Bruce, do you even have the time? Your job keeps you so busy. Honestly, instead of relying on you, I'd rather rely on your money. You see, after all this time, I've become realistic and materialistic. So whatever attraction we had is long gone. All we have left is the chaos before and after the marriage. Love? I forgot about that a long time ago."
Bruce wanted to say more.
Little Will was hungry and clung to Sienna, struggling to form the words, "Mommy! Mommy!"
Sienna held him gently and soothed, "I'll make you some formula."
The nanny had already gone to prepare it.
Bruce couldn't help but ask, "Is he already weaned? I heard some kids nurse until they're eight months old."
Sienna shot him a look.
When the bottle was brought over, she sat on the couch, letting little Will hold the bottle and drink.
She said calmly, "What year is your information from? Breast milk loses its nutritional value after four months. Besides, mothers have social work to do too; they can't stay home all the time to nurse."
Hearing this, Bruce couldn't help but say, "Your social work is dancing and socializing?"
Sienna didn't let him continue.
She said lightly, "Yes, busy finding a stepdad for Will!"
Bruce was furious, but he couldn't do anything about it.
After Will finished feeding, Sienna held him and gently patted his back until he burped.
She said calmly, "Raising a child isn't that easy, Bruce. You say you still want me and the child, but I can already foresee that being with you would be like a widow's marriage! You're the admired prince charming who hasn't come down to earth yet, but I've already become an ordinary mother, not a shining star anymore. But I have no regrets."
Because she had loved Bruce.
Because a new life deserved respect, and Sienna had thought that for the rest of her life, she might never love anyone as much as she loved Bruce, so she kept the child.
Bruce's voice was low, "So do you have a steady boyfriend now? Or are you really just waiting for a new partner before you decide to divorce me?"
"That depends on you!"
Sienna said straightforwardly, "If you sign the papers, I'll have a new partner right away!"
He was once again infuriated by Sienna.
Then, he took Will from her arms and reminded her, "Change your clothes first, then we'll talk!"
Sienna hadn't even stood up when little Will peed.
He peed straight onto Bruce, soaking a large patch of his iron-gray suit pants, making it both smelly and warm.
It was Bruce's first time holding a child.
He looked at Sienna, bewildered, "Did he do that on purpose?"
Sienna was quite pleased inside, but she pretended to be indifferent, "How would I know? Maybe he doesn't like you! Maybe it was on purpose."
Bruce's gaze deepened.
After a moment, he said softly, "I think you're the one who did it on purpose."
There was an inexplicable hint of affection in his words.
