Chapter 537 Johnny, You are Such a Jerk!

The bedroom had this soft, dim glow. Johnny and Lola were wrapped up in each other, and Johnny's eyes had this sweet, tender look.

After what felt like forever, he whispered, "Wanna hear the truth?"

Johnny chuckled and pulled Lola even closer.

They were snuggled under the covers, all warm and cozy.

Lola couldn't take it anymore. She rested her chin on his shoulder and gave his waist a playful pinch. "Why aren't you saying anything?"

She tried to pull her hand away, but Johnny grabbed it, making her wrap her arms around his waist.

He leaned in, getting super close.

They were in this really intimate spot, pressed up against each other.

Johnny's voice was low. "When I was a kid, I thought you were pretty. When I went abroad, I realized you were this amazing, smart, capable girl. And then..."

What happened then?

Lola looked up at him.

They were so close she could feel the heat from his skin, making her legs feel a bit weak.

Johnny's gaze was intense. He wrapped his arms around her waist, holding her tight, and said in a husky voice, "Then I realized you had grown into this beautiful woman, and I really wanted to sleep with you."

"So you just wanted to sleep with me." Lola's voice was soft and teasing.

Johnny kissed her, his lips brushing against hers, his voice rough. "This is pretty good too!"

His hand moved to her back. Lola was thin, with delicate shoulders and back, and he held her close. He didn't do anything else, just held her, making her feel like a cherished doll.

Johnny kissed the tip of her nose and whispered, "Lola, I'm really happy today."

Lola responded with a distracted hum.

Johnny pulled her even closer, their bodies pressed together completely.

Lola couldn't help but look up at him. Johnny whispered in her ear, "From now on, I'm your brother!"

Lola had a vague idea of what he meant!

She smiled, relaxing against him. "Johnny, is this how you treat me?"

Johnny pressed his lips to hers. "You're not really my sister! From now on, I'll sleep with you every night."

"Aren't you afraid you'll get tired of it? What if you do?"

Johnny gently touched her, his voice a bit breathless. "I won't get tired of it! Mom and Dad have been together for decades and they're not tired of each other. We've only just begun."

He wanted to have sex, but that night, he held back.

Lola lay in his arms.

Both of them had thoughts swirling in their minds, unable to sleep for a long time!

Until late at night, Lola murmured, "Johnny, I hope you're serious!"

It was such a simple sentence, but it made his eyes tear up.

He gently stroked her hair and whispered, "I am serious."

After saying that, he lowered his head, but Lola had already fallen asleep, her head resting on his neck, her arms around him, very relaxed and soft.

Johnny couldn't help but kiss her for a long time.

That night was huge for him; he hardly slept.

In the early morning, he gently moved Lola from his arms, got up, put on his clothes, and went downstairs. Charlotte was already up, instructing the servants on breakfast, probably because all the kids were home, she was being very detailed.

"Mom!" Johnny called out.

Charlotte turned and smiled. "Did you sleep well after drinking?"

Johnny walked closer. "Not bad!"

After giving the servants their instructions, Charlotte strolled into the garden with Johnny. She didn't have much to do with business and preferred tending to her flowers and plants, so Johnny tagged along.

Charlotte was watering the flowers.

In the morning light, her face looked gentle and beautiful, showing no signs of age.

She turned to Johnny. "How are things with you and Lola? Getting along well lately?"

If anyone else had asked, Johnny would have brushed it off without a second thought. But this was Charlotte, and he couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed. "Pretty good! Mom, don't worry, there won't be a repeat of last time!"

Charlotte said softly, "I'm not asking you to give in to Lola! Johnny, you two grew up together, and that bond is something other couples don't have! Even if you're not a couple, there's still family love."

Johnny nodded.

Charlotte put down the watering can, looking at her son in the morning light, thinking how handsome and dashing he was.

She straightened his shirt and said softly, "Go upstairs and wake Lola up!"

"I'll stay with you!"

Charlotte just smiled. "Alright! I need to check on your dad too! When he's happy, he gets carried away. He hasn't touched alcohol in years, but he drank a lot last night!"

Johnny knew why.

He nodded, walked Charlotte upstairs, and then headed to the third floor himself. Lola was still sleeping.

She liked to sleep with her head buried.

On the white pillow, there was just a strand of her long hair.

Johnny sat on the edge of the bed, reaching under the covers."Wake up!"

Lola didn't want to, wanting to sleep a bit longer, her voice muffled. "It's rare to have a break; I want to sleep a bit more!"

Johnny simply lay down on the bed, hugging her along with the covers.

He pulled the covers away, whispering in her ear, "You didn't get tired last night! You've slept for 10 hours, and you still want to sleep?"

Lola burrowed further into the covers.

Johnny was at a loss, his voice hoarse. "Greedy for food and sleep!"

Lola's hand reached out from under the covers, lightly tugging at his belt, humming softly. "You're just like me!"

Johnny held her hand. His eyes were deep and intense, filled with a consuming desire.

In the end, he couldn't get her up, mostly because he was willing to spoil her.

Downstairs, Frederick was already up.

Despite the hangover, he was in good spirits, still looking handsome and vigorous.

Johnny greeted him.

Frederick was quite reserved, glancing at him. "Lola doesn't listen to you?"

Just then, Kingsley came downstairs with Sienna.

Frederick flipped through the morning paper, casually saying, "Johnny, you still need to step up your game!"

Johnny adjusted his tie and sat down. He smiled slightly. "Let her sleep a bit longer! I have some things to do later! I'll come back to pick up Lola."

Frederick asked him, "Why don't you stay at home?"

Sienna was munching on a sandwich. "Johnny wants some alone time! He slept in Lola's room last night."

Johnny glanced at her.

Sienna pouted. "You did sleep in her room."

Frederick handed her a glass of milk, and Sienna said softly, "Thank you, Dad."

Frederick asked nonchalantly, "Johnny, what are your plans with Lola?"

This couldn't go on, sleeping together without any clarity!

Although Johnny could be considered his son, a daughter was different from a son; after all, she would be at a disadvantage!

Johnny smiled faintly. "I really want to get married! But it depends on what Lola thinks."

Frederick nodded. "You have to take it step by step."

But he still felt uneasy. What if things didn't work out? They had already slept together; how would they get along in the same house in the future? Just thinking about it gave him a headache!

In the evening, Johnny came to pick up Lola.

Getting into the car, he turned to look at her. "Slept all day?"

Lola responded with a hum. "I had a case recently that was so busy I barely got any sleep. Finally, I can catch up on some rest!"

She leaned back in the seat. "And you used the Hughes Family matter to mess with me! Johnny, you're so bad!"

He just gently touched her face. She had lost some weight, but she was still beautiful.

He said tenderly, "How about we go to the supermarket later and buy some groceries? I'll cook for you."

"I want to eat ravioli!"

"Sure! Whatever you want to eat!"

They hadn't been this peaceful together for a long time. Johnny couldn't help but lean in to kiss her lips.

As they kissed, he couldn't help but deepen the kiss, feeling her warmth against him. Gently entangling, their breaths mingling with light panting, they kissed deeply and shallowly, creating a profoundly moving moment.

After a long while, he pulled back and said softly, "Let's go to the supermarket! Then to my place!"

Lola didn't object.

This time being together, though not as sweet and passionate as last time, was more peaceful.

Johnny picked out a lot of things.

While buying her daily necessities, Lola looked at him and said softly, "I still won't stay at your place!"

"You'll stay over occasionally! There are some things you're not used to."

Lola didn't say anything more.

When a man was considerate, a woman usually had no objections.

At checkout, the shopping cart was full. Johnny pushed the cart with one hand and grabbed two boxes of extra-large condoms from the shelf with the other, 24 pieces each, with some special features.

Lola, usually so carefree, felt her face heat up.

She coughed lightly to cover it up. "I didn't know you had such preferences!"

Johnny smiled. "It should be a good experience!"

People around them were already looking, especially some women staring at Johnny's handsome face, then glancing at his body. Johnny was unfazed, but Lola wanted to pull him away quickly!

They ran into their high school physics teacher, Hector.

Hector looked at them kindly, then at the items Johnny had chosen, and smiled. "Johnny, what a coincidence!"

Johnny checked out with one hand, smiling. "Hello! What's up!"

When he was younger, he occasionally visited Hector's home and had a good relationship with him. Hector's wife, Christina Lewis, liked him a lot. Seeing this couple made her happy. "Good. I heard your teacher mention you recently, and here you are today! Have dinner at our place! I just bought a lot of groceries!"

Johnny couldn't refuse. He looked at Lola and asked, "What do you think?"

Lola didn't want to offend Hector, so she agreed. "But we didn't prepare any gifts, it's too impolite!"

Hector didn't mind.

He and Christina went home first, letting the young couple follow.

Johnny loaded the groceries into the trunk, then got in the car and looked at Lola. "If you're uncomfortable, we can leave after dinner."

Lola fastened her seatbelt. "Not really!"

Johnny suddenly bent down and kissed her.

Lola wanted to ask something but ended up just smiling.

Half an hour later, the car stopped in front of Hector's building. Johnny picked out some fruits and milk from the groceries and took them upstairs, with Lola following him.

Inside, he naturally took off his coat and offered to help Christina cook.

Christina smiled. "You should spend time with your girlfriend!"

Johnny turned around, but Lola was already chatting with Hector, having a good conversation. Clearly, those two boxes of items didn't bother her at all!

Johnny went over to sit down. The three of them had shared memories, and there was always something to talk about.

After chatting for a while, Lola went to the kitchen to help, while Johnny played chess with Hector.

Hector chuckled. "You came back from abroad once just for her, didn't you?"

At that time, Johnny had a girlfriend, but Lola was sick. He specifically flew back from Kyro to stay with her until she recovered, though Lola didn't know.

Johnny was stunned.

He remembered the past. At that time, he was already with Melissa. Sienna had told him about Lola's illness, and he immediately bought a ticket to come back. But being so close to home, he didn't dare to see her.

He told himself that it wasn't that he couldn't let her go, but rather that he was afraid something might happen to her. What if she needed his blood?

During those days, Melissa called him frantically, but he didn't return to Kyro.

When he finally went back, he broke up with Melissa.

At that time, he vaguely knew he liked Lola. But he was the one who left her, went abroad, and wrote that he wanted to explore the world and meet new people. So he continued dating, deliberately ignoring that longing and regret!

Hector chuckled. "In the end, it's still you two together! Johnny, you make a good match!"

Johnny smiled. "I really like her!"

Just then, a soft sobbing sound came from the kitchen.

He quickly got up and went over. "Lola!"

Lola had cut her finger, and it was bleeding. Johnny gently held her hand. "Why didn't you press on it?"

Lola had a clotting disorder and was usually very careful.

Seeing his worried expression, she bit her lip. "It's nothing! Just a small cut!"

But Johnny wasn't reassured!

Later, the bleeding wouldn't stop, so he had to put a coat on her and tell Hector he was taking her to the hospital. Lola felt bad as they went downstairs. "Almost done cooking!"

Johnny just opened the car door for her, and Lola sighed. "Alright!"

At the hospital, the doctor prescribed some medication, and after taking a pill, the bleeding stopped.

"What now? Should we go back for dinner? I think Hector really wanted to chat with you."

Johnny started the car. "Next time!"

Lola felt it was a pity; Christina's cooking looked good.

Back at Johnny's apartment, he silently moved the groceries inside and started cooking for her.

Lola found it strange but still went to the kitchen and hugged him from behind. "What's wrong? It's just a small cut!"

Johnny paused.

After a while, he said softly, "What if you were having a baby? Lola, what if the bleeding couldn't be stopped?"

Maybe it had been too long, and he had forgotten about her condition.

He only thought about wanting a child!

He almost killed Lola! This realization made him tremble all over.
