Chapter 445 Sleeping with Me, Just Because I'm Drunk? Part 1

Frederick had that classic good looks and a touch of aristocracy about him.

He was in his prime, and watching him lean in to kiss his wife was something else.

Lily couldn't help but watch, totally engrossed.

The woman being kissed looked a bit out of it, her lips slightly parted as she murmured, "Frederick!"

Frederick gently brushed her lips with his fingers.

The whole scene was super intimate.

Lily couldn't take it anymore and grabbed her bag. "I'm outta here! You two have fun!"

Frederick, ever the gentleman, offered, "Want me to walk you out?"

"No thanks!" Lily didn't want him to see her out and bolted.

After she left, Frederick walked over, closed the door, and locked it gently.

When he turned back, Charlotte was staring at him.

Frederick walked over with a crystal glass, taking a sniff.

Seeing Charlotte's flushed face, it was clear she'd had a bit too much to drink.

Frederick sat down and gently smoothed her hair, his voice soft. "Still mad?"

Charlotte was half-leaning on the small bar.

She looked out at the night, her voice low. "Frederick, nobody likes being spied on! Do you care about me or just not trust me?"

Frederick gave a faint smile. "I'm just jealous!"

Charlotte wanted to argue, but his soft tone made it hard to stay mad, leaving her a bit embarrassed and annoyed. But a bar wasn't the place for a scene.

She left with him.

Frederick drove a sleek black Rolls-Royce, dressed to the nines, looking both classy and a bit roguish.

Charlotte didn't want to look at him.

Frederick chuckled softly. He'd found her, so he was in a good mood.

When the car stopped, Charlotte sensed something was up.

Frederick had driven to a five-star hotel. Was he planning to stay the night?

Frederick unbuckled his seatbelt. "Didn't you want to stay at a hotel?"

"I wanted to stay alone!"

Frederick gently touched her cheek, his voice a bit husky. "Staying alone is such a waste; this place is pricey!"

With that, he opened the car door.

He pulled Charlotte out of the car.

Charlotte half-fell into his arms, lightly hitting his chest. "Stop messing around! We have kids at home."

"I asked Maria to watch them."

Charlotte was both angry and annoyed. She argued with him had even involved Maria, but Frederick was persistent. He leaned down and whispered in her ear, "We don't get chances like this often! Charlotte, you've been so busy with Andrew and Landon, you've been neglecting me!"

Charlotte looked up at him. She'd been drinking, and when she spoke, her lips slightly parted, her voice husky and very sexy. "So you eavesdropped on my calls just to get my attention? Frederick, how childish can you be!"

In the night breeze, he lowered his head, gently rubbing his nose against hers.

His voice was soothing. "Didn't I get your attention?"

Charlotte pushed him away.

She walked towards the hotel entrance, and Frederick followed, lowering his voice. "It's not safe for a woman to go to hotels alone. Keep with me!"

Charlotte glanced at him.

Frederick booked the best suite. Being an old couple, he wasn't in a rush. Once inside, he slowly helped Charlotte take off her coat and then held her, kissing her.

Charlotte's slender body fit easily into his embrace with just one arm.

She let him kiss her for a long time before softly saying, "Frederick, our problems can't be solved by just sleeping together. Otherwise, we would've made up that night."

Frederick gently stroked her face. "I'm not just thinking about sleeping with you, Charlotte. What do you want to talk about?"

Charlotte pulled away from his embrace.

She poured herself some water, drank half a glass, and then said softly, "Frederick, I get where you're coming from. You want to brush this off as just a little spice in our marriage, but it's not! I'm an adult, and I'm loyal to our marriage. I shouldn't be treated like this."

She spoke gently, avoiding any hurtful words.

It was because she valued their marriage.

She believed Frederick did too.

Frederick slowly took off his coat, then walked behind Charlotte and gently hugged her waist.

They were in love, and their embrace was intimate.

His chin rested on her thin shoulder, his hand gently holding her waist, absentmindedly caressing.

Charlotte knew he had something on his mind.

After hesitating for a while, he finally told her the truth. "Charlotte, I know you'll be upset, but I get very excited and can't control myself when I do these things."

He couldn't help but ask, "Am I a bit perverted?"

Charlotte's hand holding the glass trembled slightly.

Even though Frederick spoke lightly, she could tell he had a psychological issue.

Charlotte's heart softened. She turned around, lightly placing her hand on his shoulder, looking up at him.

Frederick's gaze was deep.

Charlotte softly said, "Shall I go with you to see a therapist?"

Frederick didn't resist. He said hoarsely, "I have an appointment at 10 AM tomorrow."

Charlotte deeply loved Frederick.

Now that he had a psychological issue, she not only didn't hold a grudge but also indulged him in every way.

Frederick was very satisfied that night.

The next day, Charlotte accompanied Frederick to see a therapist. Frederick had a solo session, and Charlotte made a call to Andrew in the hallway, telling him about it.

After hearing it, Andrew felt something was off. But it was a private matter between the couple, and he didn't want to interfere. Besides, the couple seemed to be enjoying it. He mumbled a few words and hung up the phone.

Nathan, who was nearby, overheard and couldn't help but laugh. "Young people are different, full of energy! Look at Frederick, he's good at coaxing. When he upsets Charlotte, he says it's a psychological issue! That way, Charlotte not only doesn't get mad but also feels sorry for him."

Andrew peeled a candy and smiled faintly.

At this moment, Nathan said, "By the way, there's a social event tonight! Gavin is with you; do you want to cancel it?"

Andrew wanted to cancel it. But when he opened the file, he asked, "I remember it's an investment dinner, right? Call Calvin in."

Nathan went out to call him.

In a moment, the secretary, Calvin Dixon, came in, smiling. "Andrew, the host tonight is director Eli Chambers, quite famous in the industry. I heard he put a lot of effort into that film. Tonight, he's even bringing the lead actress to the dinner. She's quite pretty and comes from a well-known family in Syeattel, rarely attends such events."

Andrew's eyebrows twitched. He inquired further, and Calvin checked and said, "The lead actress is named Chloe."

Nathan glanced at Andrew.

Andrew said calmly, "Got it! Call Eli and tell him I'll be there on time!"

Calvin went out.

Nathan smiled. "That's good! There are multiple investors at this dinner, and you can protect her."

Andrew looked down at the file.

After a while, he said softly, "In Syeattel, no one dares to bully her."

In the afternoon, Andrew finished his work.

He first went to pick up Gavin.

To avoid disappointing Gavin, he took him out to eat. Thinking that kids always loved fast food, he indulged Gavin and take him to a fast food restaurant.

But Gavin refused to eat there.

Andrew laughed. "Alright, Daddy will take you to another restaurant!"

He personally drove Gavin to a popular restaurant, which was buzzing with activity. Gavin ate like he hadn't seen food in days.

When Andrew mentioned he'd take him home later because he had a dinner to attend, Gavin just buried his head in his food and didn't say a word.

Andrew thought his temper was just like Charlotte's.

He gently coaxed, "Mommy will be there too! Don't you want Daddy and Mommy to meet?"

Of course, he wanted to!

But Gavin felt he should play it cool, so he said indirectly, "I have a lot of homework today! I don't have time to keep you company."

Andrew smiled slightly.

After dinner, he took Gavin back to the villa, where Adeline was waiting.

Andrew was about to get in the car.

Adeline came over to remind him, "You're not allowed to drink! And keep an eye on Chloe; don't let her get taken advantage of!"

Andrew smiled, "Don't worry, Adeline!"

He got into the car.

The black SUV had a high chassis and good visibility, allowing him to see the red sky.

At that moment, he really wanted to smoke a cigarette.

But he couldn't!

His health didn't allow him to consume anything stimulating; he had quit smoking and drinking. For a man, such a life was almost devoid of pleasure, but he still had Chloe and the two kids.

Andrew's expression softened.

By the time he arrived at the club, it was already dark.

Nathan was waiting at the door.

When the car stopped, Nathan opened the door and whispered, "I saw Chloe! She probably doesn't know you're coming!"

Andrew smiled faintly.

They entered the private room, where about ten people were already seated.

Besides the crew, there were four or five investors.

When Andrew entered, those who recognized him greeted him. Chloe, who had been playing with her phone, looked up sharply when she heard his voice.

It was him! No one had told her that he would be coming.

Andrew socialized with the others, but his gaze was fixed on Chloe.

Their affair had been quite the scandal back then, but some people didn't care, and almost no one in this room knew about it.

Andrew's gaze was deep.

Someone noticed he was looking at Chloe and teased, "Miss Hawkins is quite a catch! Andrew, you might leave empty-handed!"

Andrew chuckled.

In such settings, he was in his element. Instead of breaking the tension, he said to the person next to Chloe, "Even if I don't get the chance, I'd like to discuss the script with Miss Hawkins. I've recently become interested in investing in this area."

The person made room for him.

So Andrew sat next to Chloe. With ten seats occupied by eleven people, it was a bit cramped.

Andrew and Chloe's bodies were touching. He could even feel how soft her waist was, but Andrew didn't show it on his face.

When he socialized with the others, he held a cigarette between his long, white fingers even though he didn't smoke.

He was good-looking and had a strong background.

At least no one present dared to make things difficult for him or force him to smoke or drink.

The atmosphere was quite lively.

Chloe spoke very little until someone, already drunk, handed her a glass of wine and said, "If Miss Hawkins drinks this glass of red wine, the investment for this film will be secured!"

Chloe looked up.

Eli was quite nervous; he couldn't afford to offend these people, nor could he afford to offend the Hawkins Family.

In the past, Chloe would never have drunk that glass, but Eli had been a great help to her. If having a drink could secure the investment, she would do it.

Under many watchful eyes, Chloe stood up and took the glass.

She smiled faintly, "You have to keep your word!"

Then she was about to drink.

A long, slender hand held the glass along with hers. It was Andrew's!

Everyone in the room was stunned!

Was Andrew overstepping? This woman's hand wasn't something just anyone could touch, especially since she was a Hawkins.

Wait a minute! The Hawkins heiress didn't slap him.

Their eyes were filled with a lingering connection!

Suddenly, everyone realized that their relationship was not simple!

Andrew stared at Chloe, her eyes moist and glistening. He said hoarsely, "I'll drink for you!"

But before he could move, Chloe gently took the glass back.

He wasn't fully recovered and absolutely couldn't drink alcohol.

She drank quickly and urgently.

The red wine stained her face, adding a touch of allure.

The drunk person sobered up a bit. Not only had he flirted with the Hawkins heiress, but he might have also offended Andrew. Andrew's voice was deep, "I'll definitely invest in this film!"

The drunk person knew Andrew was a tough character. He cautiously said that he wanted to co-invest. Thinking about Chloe's future, Andrew didn't make things too difficult. He just smiled faintly, "Don't compete with me! You can work on the next film; Eli has plenty of good scripts!"

Eli snapped out of it and immediately agreed.

The person finally breathed a sigh of relief but broke out in a cold sweat.

Andrew took control with a few exchanges, almost like the host.

Chloe was angry. She drank several more glasses out of spite, and her assistant couldn't stop her, glancing at Andrew.

The assistant knew about Andrew and Chloe's relationship.

Andrew initially wanted to stop her, but then he let her drink.

The wine was good, and drinking too much wouldn't cause a headache.

Chloe drank half a bottle and successfully got herself drunk. When it was time to leave, Andrew took her from the assistant. "I'll take her home!"

The assistant hesitated but agreed.

Andrew got her into the car. Nathan initially wanted to go with them but sensing the intimate atmosphere, he decided not to intrude and simply helped close the car door.

Andrew slowly rolled up the window. He looked at the drunk woman beside him, her long hair cascading like a waterfall, wearing a simple dress with her coat in her arms.

Her profile was delicate and beautiful. Mature yet with a touch of innocence!

Andrew gently touched her face; it was very warm.

Chloe murmured uncomfortably, and Andrew couldn't help but think, 'She must be in a bad mood to drink like this. Does breaking up with Maurice make her very sad?'

His heart ached, but no matter how bad he felt, he had to endure it. After all, they were nothing now. Even this rare moment of solitude was something he had stolen.

After some consideration, Andrew decided to take her to the house on Broadway.

She was so drunk that if she went back to the villa, Gavin would be upset and Adeline would nag him all night.

Andrew couldn't help but gently touch her face again, whispering, "We're home!"

Half an hour later, the black SUV stopped in front of the apartment building.

When the car stopped, Chloe moved uncomfortably.

She opened her eyes, looking around in confusion, and then asked, "Where is this?"

A faint sound was heard.

Andrew unbuckled his seatbelt, leaned over, and unbuckled hers too, his voice very gentle, "Our old place."

A car passed by in front. Its high beams were on. Chloe uncomfortably shielded her eyes with her hand, leaning back in the seat, her chest rising and falling slightly, very enticing. "Our old place? Why don't I remember?"

Andrew's gaze deepened.

He was very close to her, close enough to smell her feminine scent. The scent of a woman, mixed with floral perfume.

Inside Andrew, a man's desires quietly awakened.
