Chapter 459 Charlotte, Do It with Me Again

The vibe in the room shifted, and Charlotte felt it too. She awkwardly let go of Frederick, but he was quicker. Before she could slip away, he had her pinned against the countertop.

His hands, still smelling faintly of fish, moved with purpose. Not wanting to mess up her clothes, he used his waist to press her down gently.

Charlotte's face turned a bit red. She glanced outside nervously and whispered, "The maids could walk in any second."

Frederick chuckled, "Even if they do, they'll just pretend they didn't see anything." He leaned in and kissed her. What started as teasing quickly turned more intense with their bodies so close. Frederick's eyes darkened with desire.

Charlotte couldn't take it and pushed against his chest. "Your hands smell like fish!"

"There are so many kids around, and they're at that age where they half understand things. Shouldn't you be setting a good example?" she said, trying to catch her breath.

Frederick laughed softly, his nose brushing against hers. Then he straightened up and went back to handling the fish.

Charlotte, meanwhile, had completely forgotten about Andrew's company issues. She smoothed her dress, gathered her golden hair, and left the kitchen, worried he might try something again.

In the living room, the kids were all doing their own thing. With Frederick not around, Lola had climbed down from her chair and was playing with Natalie. Chloe was lounging on the sofa, munching on a bag of chips.

Charlotte walked over. Chloe gave her a strange look and then whispered, "Did Frederick mess with you again?"

Charlotte sat down across from her, feeling awkward. "No!"

"But your face is all red!" Chloe said, still watching TV and eating her chips. She loved it here. If it weren't for all the kids, she'd want to stay forever, with food and drink every day. Plus, Gavin and Natalie were well taken care of.

Charlotte glanced at Chloe and asked, "How are things with you and Andrew?"

Chloe's chips hung suspended halfway to her mouth. She replied awkwardly, "Why ask about that all of a sudden?"

But she and Charlotte shared everything, so she recounted the past few days, leaving out Andrew's more rogue tactics and focusing on Nina's situation.

Charlotte nodded, "You did the right thing! A girl like that doesn't deserve a chance." She remembered meeting Nina, who was young and spirited, much more capable than Elizabeth; but unfortunately, she didn't take the right path.

Charlotte gave Chloe a few tips. Chloe nodded, her eyes a bit moist, feeling genuinely cared for by Charlotte. Especially when it came to Andrew, Charlotte never took sides.

Chloe stayed for a meal with Gavin and Natalie and headed back in the evening.

By the time Frederick finally got the kids to bed, it was already 10 PM. Lola, the eldest, was the clingiest. She always insisted on being the last to get a bedtime story, and it had to be a full half-hour. When the others teased her about it, she'd just toss her curly hair and huff.

Frederick headed back to the bedroom. Charlotte had just finished her bath and was in a silk robe, applying skincare products. Her long hair was gathered in front, showing off her neck.

He walked over, wrapped his arms around her waist, and gently bit her neck.

Charlotte shivered a bit. "Frederick!"

He stayed close, his lips moving to the back of her ear, blowing warm breaths. "I washed my hands, no more fishy smell."

Charlotte tried to push his hand away, but the more she resisted, the more he persisted. Eventually, she leaned into his embrace and let herself enjoy it.

Frederick held her from behind, teasing her slowly, kissing her now and then, and talking about the kids. When things got more intense, he'd gently bite her.

Charlotte bit her lip. Frederick's voice was husky. "Do you know what Lola said earlier?"

Charlotte had no clue.

Frederick chuckled. "She said she clings to me for stories every day to keep the family stable! Said that if the kids tire me out, I won't have extra time for other women."

Charlotte was both amused and annoyed. She turned in his arms. "Who taught her that? Something on TV?"

His deep eyes watched her as she gently pulled at the hem of his shirt, his breathing getting heavier.

Frederick took a step back, sat on the edge of the bed, and pulled Charlotte onto his lap, kissing her.

Then there was no time for idle chat.

After their intimate moment, Charlotte leaned on Frederick's shoulder, catching her breath.

As her rationality slowly returned, she brought up what she had asked about in the kitchen. "You're different today!"

"How so? Isn't it the same? Want to go again?"

Charlotte covered his lips, stopping him from getting closer. She leaned lightly on his chest and whispered, "Wasn't Mr. Hawkins celebrating landing another big deal today?"

Frederick chuckled softly. He moved her hand away and kissed her.

Charlotte didn't shy away; she even tilted her head to meet his kiss. After a long kiss, she softly said, "It's fine to do business with Andrew, but don't make things difficult for Chloe."

Frederick hugged her waist, leaning close. "Can't tell if you're pleading for Chloe or Andrew!"

Charlotte huffed softly and pretended to get up to take a bath.

Frederick grabbed her hand, his voice hoarse. "Alright, do it with me one more time!"

Charlotte couldn't bear to refuse.

In the heat of the moment, Frederick whispered in her ear, teasing, "Your information is really up-to-date!"
