Chapter 514 Tonight is Our Wedding Night 1

Molly was usually pretty shy. But right now, she was standing her ground like never before.

The woman glared at her for what felt like forever before finally sneering. "You always seem so quiet, but you've got some guts. I totally underestimated you!"

Even though she didn't want to, the woman pulled out a check from her purse, scribbled out $40,000 to Molly, and then told her to scram.

Molly took the check, mustered up all her courage, and said, "You know what? You're really rude! I don't want to sell you this wedding dress."

The woman's eyes nearly popped out of her head in shock.

Seeing how furious the woman was, Molly quickly grabbed her stuff and bolted, not even looking for Gavin.

Gavin felt a pang in his heart. He knew Molly well—she usually got scared when people raised their voices. But now, she was standing up to someone so nasty.

Gavin slowly stepped out. The woman, done with her coffee, was about to leave when she saw Gavin glaring at her. She forced a smile and stammered, "Gavin."

Gavin calmly picked up the coffee cup Molly had used. Without a second thought, he splashed the coffee all over the woman's head and face.

The café was packed, and she felt utterly humiliated, but she couldn't afford to cross Gavin, so she whispered anxiously, "Gavin, what does this mean? My husband does business with you."

Gavin sneered. "Getting humiliated in public doesn't feel great, does it? But don't worry, I'll compensate you!"

He pulled out his checkbook, wrote a check for $40,000, and casually said as he tore it off. "Even though I'm super busy, I still have time to deal with a small company!"

The woman was left speechless.

Gavin put his checkbook away and walked out gracefully. At the door, he paused and said, "Oh, I forgot to mention, Molly is my wife!"

As soon as he said that, the café erupted in applause, mostly from young people who had been watching the whole thing. The woman had been so arrogant, and seeing her get put in her place was pretty satisfying!

Gavin hurried after Molly and found her sitting on a small flower bed in the square. She had been sitting there for a while, and he had been watching her just as long.

Later, Gavin spotted a cotton candy vendor nearby. He went over and asked for one. The old man looked at his fancy clothes curiously. Gavin handed over a dollar and smiled. "My wife is upset. I'm trying to cheer her up."

The old man smiled warmly and made a rabbit-shaped cotton candy, which looked adorable.

Gavin took the cotton candy and walked over to Molly. He handed it to her.

Molly was taken aback for a moment, then looked up, her eyes still red and even more watery.

Gavin bent down and placed the cotton candy in her small hand. His voice was incredibly gentle. "Do you want me to carry you?"

Molly looked at him and smiled.

Gavin didn't say anything else. He just patted her head, took her hand, and brushed the dust off her. "Let's go, we're going to my parents' for dinner!"

Molly obediently let him lead her away. His hand was warm, and his back looked so comforting. At that moment, she felt like what had just happened wasn't so bad.

In the car, she looked at the little rabbit-shaped cotton candy, not wanting to eat it.

Gavin fastened his seatbelt, turned to look at her, and smiled. "If you like it, I'll have someone make it for you."

"I don't want it! It'll make me fat!"

Gavin started the car and seriously agreed, "You could stand to gain a little weight."

Molly glared at him.

She was usually pretty timid and always putting on a brave face.

Gavin felt the day's stress and anxiety just melt away. He gently squeezed her hand and called out, "Molly."

Molly looked at him. Her nose was red, either from the cold or from crying.

Gavin didn't ask. When the car stopped at a red light, he reached into the glove compartment and pulled out their marriage certificate, handing it to her.

Molly cherished it, forgetting the cotton candy in her hand. Gavin watched her, his eyes filled with indescribable tenderness.Molly looked at it, cherishing it.

She couldn't help but look at it over and over, forgetting about the cotton candy in her hand. Gavin turned to watch her, his eyes filled with a tenderness he couldn't put into words.

He had wronged her in the past. But once he decided to be with her, nothing could tear them apart. He wouldn't give up, and he wouldn't let Molly give up either. Gavin knew he could be overbearing, but Molly always remembered his good qualities and had let go of past hurts. She was so vulnerable outside; she was better off as his wife.

Molly finally had enough of looking at the certificate. She looked up and saw Gavin's gaze, making her a bit embarrassed. She sat up straight and didn't dare to look at him again.

Gavin smiled.

Half an hour later, the car pulled into the villa Andrew had bought years ago.

In early spring, the trees in the yard were sprouting tender green buds.

Molly got out of the car and couldn't help but touch them. Gavin tricked her by saying there were bugs, and Molly, scared, shrank into his arms. Gavin lowered his head and nibbled her little nose, whispering, "You're afraid of little bugs but not big ones, always wanting to see them."

Having been with Gavin for a while, Molly slowly understood.

Gavin usually didn't say such things. Now that he did, her face turned red, and she couldn't speak for a long time.

At the door, Andrew stood with his hands on his hips.

He had been busy for a long time, making a sumptuous dinner. When he finally had a moment to relax, he saw his son teasing Molly. Although he couldn't hear what was being said, it was definitely nothing good.

Andrew smoked. "Dinner's ready! Standing in the wind at night, aren't you afraid Molly will catch a cold? Is this how I taught you to be a boyfriend?"

Gavin held Molly's shoulder and said boldly, "Husband! We got our marriage certificate!"

Not afraid of making a big deal, he showed the marriage certificate to Andrew, flaunting it.

Andrew looked at it for a while. He was actually quite surprised. It wasn't that he disapproved of their marriage, but he hadn't expected his son to be so determined and to like Molly so much.

Andrew remained silent for a long time. He recalled the past. Gavin's affection for Molly was somewhat like his own for Chloe back then. But back then, he didn't have Gavin's courage.

Molly was a bit nervous. Her small hand clutched Gavin's, and even though she didn't speak, Gavin knew what she was thinking. She cared about Andrew's opinion and was afraid he wouldn't be happy.

Gavin chuckled. "Dad, are you so happy you can't speak?"

Andrew hit him on the head with the marriage certificate. Then he looked at Molly and softly said, "From now on, you have to call me Dad!"

Andrew opened his arms slightly, and Molly hesitated for a moment before walking over and gently hugging him.

Andrew felt a pang of sadness. He should have taken better care of her when she was little or given her a hug, but it was only today, years later, when she became his daughter-in-law, that he could embrace her. It was good; he hadn't wronged her. He had even given his son to her!

Andrew patted her on the head. "Go upstairs and see your mom. She's been digging through stuff and found a lot of goodies for you."

Molly felt tears welling up.

Andrew was both happy and a bit sad, but he just patted her gently.

Molly headed upstairs.

Andrew, holding a half-smoked cigarette, asked, "How did the negotiations with the Hughes Family go?"

Gavin's expression turned serious. He needed to report this to Andrew, and he said in a low voice, "We couldn't reach an agreement."

Andrew studied his son's face and already guessed his intention—he wanted to bankrupt the Hughes Family!

"Dad, do you oppose this?" Gavin asked.

Andrew looked at Gavin for a long time before patting his shoulder and saying, "Many years ago, I couldn't do what you're doing now, and it's good that you are. But Gavin, now that you have a wife, while your career is important, you can't neglect your family. Back then, I was too focused on my career and ended up separated from your mom for those years."

Not regretting it would be a lie. If only those years hadn't been wasted, how great it would have been.

Andrew felt a bit melancholic and went inside.

Gavin was touched. He stood in the doorway, quietly finished his cigarette, and then went inside.

Upstairs, Molly walked into the master bedroom.

Chloe was busy with something and, without turning around, naturally said, "Molly, you're here."

Molly walked over, half-kneeling beside Chloe, and softly called, "Yeah. Mom."

Chloe was slightly stunned. After a moment, she turned around and smiled, asking, "Did you and Gavin get your marriage certificate?"

Molly nodded again.

Chloe didn't ask further. She had Molly help move sets of jewelry to the sofa, complaining, "These were all gifts from Adeline and Gavin's grandmother, and Charlotte gave a lot too! I can't possibly wear them all."

Molly obediently moved the boxes one by one.

Chloe turned to watch, feeling secretly pleased.

Once everything was organized, Chloe showed each piece to Molly, musing aloud about which suited her, Molly, or Natalie.

In the end, Molly received five sets, including a pink diamond set that Laura had given to Chloe when she married Andrew.

Molly was hesitant to accept it, thinking it should go to Natalie.

Chloe didn't mind. "We'll find something good for her when she gets married!"

Molly didn't refuse any further. She thought to herself that when Natalie got married, she would make sure Gavin bought the best for her, even if it meant agreeing to some of his unreasonable demands. As she thought about it, her face flushed a bit.

Chloe found it strange. "Molly, why is your face red?"

Molly felt a bit embarrassed and quickly changed the subject. Chloe, having experienced life, could see at a glance that she and Gavin had a good relationship.

Molly went downstairs first.

Chloe sat quietly for a while. She wasn't completely indifferent to the past, but she wasn't just Andrew's wife; she was also Gavin's mother, and Gavin and Molly really liked each other. Her expression was so joyful!

If Molly could make Gavin happy for the rest of his life, what was there to mind?

Downstairs, Molly carried a small box down. Gavin had just set the table and was waiting for dinner. Seeing her come down, he smiled. "Mom gave you that?"

Molly nodded and asked him to keep it for her because it was too valuable.

Gavin was juggling everything. He had already ditched his coat and was rocking a dark blue sweater, looking super handsome.

He patted Molly's head gently and said, "You keep it yourself. I'll get a big safe installed at home for you. You can stash everything I give you in there, and when we're old, we can pass it on to our daughters-in-law."

His words made her blush. Molly mumbled, "I don't want to have that many kids."

But Gavin wanted children. He said softly, "How about two?"

He had a sister and knew the warmth of having siblings.

Molly hummed lightly, which was a sign of agreement.

After a lively family dinner, Andrew didn't keep them and told them to head home.

Molly felt it was a bit inappropriate. But Gavin put on his coat, held Molly's shoulder, and said, "Mom, Dad, we're heading out! We'll come back for dinner on the weekend!"

Andrew snorted. "If you're coming back, come early and cook for me!"

Gavin smiled and then hugged Chloe. "Mom, we're leaving!"

Chloe walked them outside, watching Gavin open the car door for Molly and help her in, feeling a bit emotional.

"The kids have really grown up!" Andrew knew she was feeling sentimental and hugged her. "Are you secretly saying I'm old again?"

Chloe leaned on his shoulder, chuckling and shaking her head.

Even at this age, Andrew was still charming. Women outside would still like him, and he really took good care of himself. She hadn't missed out on anything a woman should enjoy. Years of marriage, she was very happy.

Gavin drove Molly away. She thought he was going to take her home, but after a while, she realized something was off. This road led to the place they used to live together.

Molly turned to look at him.

In the dark, Gavin focused on the road ahead and responded, "Yeah, we're going there! Tonight is also our wedding night. Let's spend the night there."

Molly felt embarrassed. She knew him well and couldn't help but softly protest, "You always have an excuse! When we have our wedding, you'll say it's our wedding night again. Every time you find an excuse, you always..."

She couldn't continue.

Gavin touched his smooth, handsome chin and looked at her. "I always what?"

She wouldn't fall for it. But Gavin chuckled and made it clear. "I always make it wild, don't I?"

Molly thought he was shameless. When they first got together, he was so normal. Now he was shameless, saying anything, but she wasn't really angry.

Gavin, of course, knew her well. He didn't plan to hold back; he liked teasing her and seeing her blush.

The car drove steadily back. When the car stopped downstairs, they both felt a bit dazed.

Here, he had once left her, watching her cry in the rain. But half a year later, he had won her back and made her his wife.

After a long time, Gavin unbuckled his seatbelt and leaned in to kiss her.

He kissed her devoutly, even his hot lips trembling, showing his inner turmoil.

After the kiss, he softly said, "Molly, we're married now!"

Molly's hand wrapped around his neck.

Usually, she was rarely proactive in making love, perhaps because their relationship wasn't official. But now he was her husband, his whole body was hers, and she didn't need to hold back or restrain herself.

Molly took the initiative to kiss his lips.

She was inexperienced but kissed him earnestly, making him feel good.

Gavin enjoyed her initiative. After a while, he simply pulled her onto his lap, kissing her while softly saying, "Shall we go upstairs? Okay?"
