Chapter 899 The Only Way Is for Them to Get Married!
Lonnie hung up the phone and turned to Marcella, his face pale.
For a moment, he was at a loss for words.
Marcella pressed him, "What's going on? Just spill it! Is it about Dad's health?"
Lonnie placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder, his voice grave. "It's worse than Dad being sick. The video of Bruce and Sienna in the mountains... it's been leaked."
Marcella's eyes widened in shock.
When she finally found her voice, she snapped at Lonnie. "Weren't you supposed to keep that video safe? How did it get out? Bruce might be able to handle it, but what about Sienna?"
She paused, then continued her rant. "I don't care how you do it, but you need to fix this! How are we supposed to explain this to the Hawkins family? Even if we sent Bruce over to marry into their family, it wouldn't be enough."
Despite the seriousness of the situation, Lonnie managed a weak smile. "I think that's a great idea!"
Marcella, furious, punched him hard in the arm.
Lonnie immediately contacted the Hawkins family. The heads of both families talked through the night, trying to figure out how to contain the situation.
But how could they possibly stop it? Even if they spent their entire fortunes, they couldn't erase the video from millions of computers.
In just one night, the video had spread to practically everyone.
Thankfully, they were both clothed in the video, and Sienna had her period, so nothing too explicit happened.
But the dim lighting, the kissing and touching, and the sweet, breathy sounds were scandalous enough.
It was a huge sensation.
That night, no one dared to tell Sienna. She was at home, sleeping in.
Bruce, on the other hand, had a rough night. He was in charge of handling the situation, and after working all night, Frederick had to admit defeat.
Frederick was beside himself.
His precious daughter had been caught on camera in an intimate moment. How could she ever find a man who wouldn't mind?
But he couldn't entirely blame Bruce either.
Frederick was fuming but couldn't bring himself to scold Sienna.
Charlotte was at home, taking his blood pressure and giving him medication, trying to calm him down. Finally, she spoke up, "Let the Taylor boy handle this."
Charlotte knew that Sienna was the one who would suffer the most from this scandal.
Sienna was an unmarried woman, and being caught on camera like that was damaging.
Moreover, she and Bruce hadn't publicly acknowledged their relationship, so the rumors would be even worse.
There was only one solution, but Charlotte didn't dare suggest it to Frederick: marriage.
If they were happy, they could stay married. If not, they could divorce. With a marriage, the video would just be seen as a private moment between a couple.
But without marriage, it would be a permanent stain on Sienna's reputation, especially if Bruce married someone else later.
Charlotte didn't say it, but Frederick could figure it out.
He was angry too.
It wasn't a bad idea. At least it would involve Bruce as well, and both would have the status of being married, so neither would be at a disadvantage.
But it wasn't appropriate for the woman's family to propose it. The Hawkins family had to maintain their dignity.
As they were thinking this, the Taylor family was likely thinking the same.
Raymond had been fuming all night, his hair practically standing on end. He pointed to the door and told Bruce to get out, saying, "Don't come back unless you marry Sienna!"
Marcella was trying to calm him down.
Raymond even scolded her, "This was your stupid idea! Who knows what the Hawkins family thinks of us now? Even if they agree to the marriage, it might just be for show, not genuine! Who wants their daughter to marry a playboy?"
Marcella's face flushed with embarrassment.
Lonnie tried to defend her, calming Raymond down and giving Bruce a look. "What are you waiting for? Go!"
So, early in the morning, when Sienna opened her door, there stood Bruce.
Looking exhausted, the first thing he said was, "Let's get married."
