Chapter 367 It Feels Familiar, Like a Dream

After Frederick finished talking, Chloe shot back, "What's in it for me?"

Frederick gave her a playful pat on the head, thinking, 'You get to date her uncle, tie the knot, and have Gavin!'

Chloe hummed, a bit suspicious. "Frederick, don't think I don't see through you! You're using me to lure her in, then planning to ditch me, right?"

Frederick didn't even bother denying it. He just adjusted his tie with that smooth, slender hand of his.

Chloe smirked and dialed a number, muttering, "So, there are folks you can't handle, huh?"

She'd heard Frederick was chasing after some girl named Charlotte. A student at the music academy, no less. Chloe had seen a pic of her—pretty enough, definitely Frederick's type.

The call connected, and Charlotte's voice came through, firm, "Mr. Hawkins, I've told you, I'm not interested in the invitation."

Chloe glanced at Frederick, who just gave her another gentle pat on the head.

Chloe said, "I'm Frederick' sister. Call me Chloe! Actually, I'm the one inviting you. I love the piano just like you! Can you come over? If it's a hassle, I can come pick you up."

Chloe had a knack for being sweet. After a few kind words, Charlotte felt too awkward to say no. She even ended up giving Chloe her class schedule.

Chloe hung up, hugging her phone. "Frederick, how are you gonna thank me?"

Frederick pulled out his checkbook and scribbled down a number. Ten million bucks! He tore it off and handed it to her, then gave her a photo with a note. "This is Andrew. Keep it by your bed as a goal!"

Chloe pouted. "I wanna meet Charlotte!"

Frederick wasn't too keen on it, but after mulling it over, he decided to bring her along.

Charlotte was actually charmed by Chloe's sweetness.

At the Syeattel Music Academy, Charlotte was carrying two books, planning to catch the bus home since classes were done for the day.

At the school gate, a flashy golden Bentley was parked. Charlotte didn't pay it much mind and walked across the street, but the car rolled up to her. The window came down, revealing a bright, friendly face. "Charlotte, hop in."

The invite was sudden, making Charlotte a bit uneasy. Just then, Frederick stepped out from the driver's seat and opened the back door. "Get in quick; we can't park here."

Charlotte had no choice but to get in. It was her first time meeting them, so things were a bit awkward.

Frederick sensed it. When the car stopped at a red light, he gently stroked the steering wheel and glanced in the rearview mirror, catching Charlotte's gaze. Her eyes were so clear, a look he'd never seen before. Frederick was moved and smiled lightly.

He had that good-looking, charming vibe. Just a simple smile made Charlotte blush.

Chloe noticed too and felt proud; Frederick was indeed impressive.

Half an hour later, the car stopped in front of Frederick's apartment building. While Frederick was parking, Chloe had already linked arms with Charlotte and headed upstairs.

The door opened, revealing a blue vase on the cabinet with a few roses. Looking further inside, Charlotte's heart skipped a beat. The place felt so familiar, like she'd lived there in a past life. Everything was just her style, the kind of home she'd always imagined.

Charlotte forgot everything around her and couldn't help but touch the vase.

"Do you like it?" Frederick's voice came from behind, startling her.

She turned to see Frederick, his handsome face carrying a hint of mystery. Always honest, she softly said, "I like this style! It feels familiar, like a dream."

She looked a bit confused. Frederick wanted to hold her, but it wasn't the right time. He smiled gently, with a touch of tenderness. "I'm glad you like it."

Charlotte almost couldn't look at him. She turned to Chloe, "Weren't we gonna see the piano?"

Chloe dragged her over, running as she said, "This place used to be all black and white. A few days ago, he suddenly wanted to decorate it like this! I think he did it for the girl he likes."

She said it outright, making Charlotte glance at Frederick.
