Chapter 513 Sorry, I'm Married to Cynthia!

Gavin walked in the door, and there was Amanda, already up and making breakfast. "Hey, you're up early! I made you some eggs and got fresh milk. A guy your age needs to take care of yourself."

Gavin just hummed, "Thanks, Mom!"

Amanda looked a bit surprised, then she pretended to be mad. "You and Molly aren't even married yet!"

Gavin just grinned. He grabbed his files, walked over to the window, and lit a cigarette.

In the kitchen, Amanda was busy cooking, and the smell of food drifted out now and then. Molly's room was to the right, quiet and still. He had kept her up pretty late last night, so she was still asleep.

Gavin's face softened. He put out the cigarette and walked into the bedroom.

The room smelled like her, and it was quiet. Molly was still asleep, buried under the covers with just a bit of her hair showing. Gavin sat on the edge of the bed, smiling as he gently tugged at her hair.

Molly woke up and peeked at him from under the covers.

Gavin looked handsome, and his expression was super gentle. She stared at him for a bit before moving her face to rest on his thigh. Gavin stroked her face for a while and said in a husky voice, "Put on some clothes."

Molly didn't want to get up.

He lightly tapped her butt with the files in his hand. "What kind of wife is as lazy as you? Mom's already up making breakfast."

Molly snuggled further into his arms, still refusing to get up. In the end, Gavin helped her put on some woolen loungewear and carried her to the sofa.

When she saw the prenuptial agreement and the marriage application, Molly immediately woke up. Her lips trembled slightly, and her voice was nasal. "Gavin, you never mentioned this. It's so sudden."

She didn't want to pressure him.

Gavin reached out and patted her head gently. "I've already decided to spend my life with you. Sooner or later, it makes no difference."

Molly's heart raced. She held the documents without really looking at them, not knowing that Gavin had transferred all his personal assets to her and given her ten percent of the Devereux Group shares.

In the future, besides Gavin, Molly and Natalie would have the same shares.

Molly didn't care about money. Her heart was pounding faster and faster, and she only knew one thing: she was about to have a family.

She had been abandoned many times as a child and had always longed for a family. Now it was finally happening, and the person was Gavin. The man she deeply loved. What could be more joyful than this? She remained still for a long time.

Gavin pinched her cheek. "Are you so happy that you're speechless?"

Molly glanced at him and hesitated for a rare moment. "If I really sign this, you won't regret it, right? If I sign, I'll be your wife. You won't be able to marry Sarah anymore. Gavin, are you serious?"

Gavin looked at her quietly. After a long time, he whispered, "I don't want to marry anyone else, only Molly."

Molly bit her lip lightly. Then, with a serious and solemn expression, she placed the documents on his lap and bent down to sign her name. After signing, her pale fingers trembled slightly, and she didn't lift her head for a long time.

Gavin gently held her hand. Then she was pulled into his arms, and a light kiss fell on her forehead, full of cherishment. Just at this quiet and beautiful moment, Amanda called Gavin for breakfast from outside.

Molly and Gavin were a bit reluctant to separate. But he had a packed day ahead and still needed to instruct the lawyer about the marriage agreement. He whispered, "Go back to sleep for a bit! Don't you have a client to meet this afternoon?"

With Clayton not around, Gavin wanted to arrange someone to accompany her, but Molly refused.

"It's just a client, and a familiar one at that."

Gavin nodded.

Amanda joined him for breakfast, gently reminding him of a few things, the usual elder-to-younger care. When he was about to leave, Molly had dressed and came to see him off downstairs. Gavin got into the car and waved.

Molly bent down and kissed him on the lips. Gavin said in a low voice, "I'll pick you up this afternoon to go to my parents' place for dinner."

Molly nodded. She was about to straighten up, but Gavin held the back of her head and deepened the kiss. After a long kiss, he said in a hoarse voice, "Mrs. Devereux, I'm leaving."

Molly's face turned slightly red. She took a step back and watched him. Gavin waved at her again as he started the car.

Molly felt sweet inside. She loved it when he called her Mrs. Devereux!

Gavin first went to see his lawyer and then arrived at Lola's office half an hour later. "Lola!"

Early in the morning, Lola was playing snooker. She bent over and said calmly, "Have you figured out how to handle this? Sarah is already troublesome enough, and the people from Copenhagen are even harder to deal with! Gavin, are you planning to go against the entire Devereux Family?"

Gavin lit a cigarette. "I haven't figured it out yet! But there will always be a way, right?"

Lola leaned against the pool table. She looked very graceful, gazing at Gavin. "Your solution isn't to sign a marriage agreement with Molly, is it? Quite ambitious. Have you talked to your parents and Molly's parents?"

Gavin smiled faintly and didn't deny it.

Lola's expression became more serious. She scrutinized Gavin for a while and then snorted lightly. "You're quite the romantic, Gavin!"

That was true. Among all the kids in the family, Gavin was the only one who wanted to get married early.

After a few words, they started discussing how to negotiate with the Hughes Family. Lola suggested appeasing Sarah, as she had embarrassed and needed to be given some dignity to let go.

Gavin had a bad temper. In the past, he would have been relentless and fought the Hughes Family to the end. But now he had a family, he was going to marry Molly and have children, and he needed to take care of his family. He didn't want any more complications, so he agreed with Lola's suggestion.

When the negotiation time arrived, the Devereux family members sat in the conference room, looking displeased.

They disapproved of Molly, not only because of her reputation but also because she couldn't bring any benefits to the Devereux Family.

Gavin couldn't care less about them. What he wanted now was for Sarah to clarify things in front of the media so they could live in peace.

When Sarah arrived, she looked a bit pale, indicating she hadn't been doing well lately. But Gavin only nodded at her and didn't give her another look.

Sarah stared at Gavin. "I want to talk to you alone."

"There's no need!" Gavin shot back. "Since you've mixed personal feelings with business, let's keep it strictly business."

Sarah didn't say anything more.

Then, the two sides started negotiating over interests. It was clear that the conditions Gavin offered weren't cutting it for the Hughes Family.

This whole mess was Sarah's doing, but when push came to shove, the Hughes Family stood united. They weren't about to give up on Gavin and shamelessly kept pushing.

Sarah's dad, Zachary Hughes, and her uncle, Maurice, showed up. Because of Chloe, Maurice's attitude was pretty gentle. "Gavin, you know marrying Sarah is the best way for both sides to save face! As for that other lady, we can settle her life with some compensation, and she'll agree."

His wife chimed in, "Her mother was that kind of person, and she can't be much better."

Gavin clenched his fists.

Sarah spoke up, "Gavin, you should know by now that marrying Molly would be a huge blow to your reputation. She can't give you anything!"

Gavin slowly unclenched his fists and wore a sarcastic smile. "Really?"

He first looked at Maurice and said, "No wonder my mother didn't think much of you back then. Indeed, you and your current wife are a perfect match!"

Maurice and his wife’s faces stiffened.

Gavin then turned to Sarah. "Who are you to me? Does it matter to you whom I marry? Are you threatening me with the Devereux Family? Sarah, I was lenient with you out of respect for our families' relationship! Now let me tell you, I am already married. Miss Hughes, aren't you the one who values reputation the most? Don't you feel ashamed to be pestering a married man?"

Sarah was stunned. She didn't want to believe it and said, "You can't be married! Andrew wouldn't allow it; they clearly favor me!"

Gavin sneered. "Dream on!"

At that moment, the door opened, and his lawyer walked in. "Gavin is indeed married! Here is his marriage certificate, and his wife is Molly."

The Hughes Family and the people from Copenhagen were all shocked.

Had Gavin lost his mind? The issue wasn't resolved yet, and he got married. Did he not care about the Devereux Group's stocks?

Gavin slowly stood up, leaning on the conference table, and sneered at the people below. "I don't care how much value the Devereux Group's stocks have left. I can go bankrupt for all I care; I still have a wife to support me!"

Lola raised an eyebrow and thought, 'Shameless!'

One of the Devereux Family members clutched his chest, and Gavin had someone give him a pill.

Gavin then looked at Sarah.

Sarah thought he was crazy. He must have planned to fall out with her all along. He never intended to marry her!

Gavin's sneer deepened. "Sarah, there's no possibility of negotiation between us! In Seattle, only one family can remain, the Devereux Family or the Hughes Family!"

With that, he turned and left!

"Gavin!" Sarah called his name.

But Gavin didn't look back.

She was stunned. She hadn't expected this outcome. She wanted to chase after him, but Zachary stood up and slapped her hard, scolding, "Haven't you embarrassed us enough? You've put the Hughes Family in such a disgraceful position for him. I've taught you in vain!"

Zachary stormed off. Sarah grabbed his arm, pleading, "Dad, let me talk to Gavin properly!"

Zachary felt humiliated and slapped her again. He sneered. "I hope this slap wakes you up! Sarah, it's not that you're not good enough for Gavin; it's that he doesn't like you at all. He'd rather marry that lowly woman than be with you. Can't you see why? Because he's a lowly person too!"

Just as he finished speaking, a cup of water was thrown in his face.

Zachary was stunned. Who dared to throw water in his face?

Lola looked at Zachary. "Watch your words."

Zachary was furious.

Sarah wanted to argue with Lola, but Lola patted the wrinkles on her pants and said calmly, "Sarah, don't interrupt! You're not qualified to talk to me!"

Everyone else was dumbfounded! They had heard that Frederick's daughter was domineering, but seeing it in person was something else.

Gavin was already formidable, and with an unreasonable Lola, the Hughes Family was left helpless and dragged the father and daughter away!

In the conference room, only a group of shareholders remained.

Lola looked at them. "Still not leaving? Waiting for Andrew to see you out?"

Someone grumbled, "The Devereux Group's stock has hit the limit down. You owe us an explanation!"

Lola retorted, "Go talk to Andrew! If you want to make trouble, think about Gavin's temper. Andrew has some feelings for you, but Gavin doesn't."

A group of people left angrily. They even demanded a private jet to take them back to Copenhagen.

Lola sneered, "It's good enough we're not making you crawl back!"

Gavin was busy at the company for a long time. At five in the afternoon, he went to pick up Molly.

Amanda told him that Molly was meeting a client at a nearby café.

Gavin drove to find her. At the café, he easily spotted her talking to a well-dressed lady. Gavin was about to approach when the lady spoke. "Molly, I originally liked your design very much, but my daughter's wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event. When I think about your background and your reputation as a mistress, I feel that if my daughter wears this wedding dress, it will bring bad luck. So, after careful consideration, we don't want the dress anymore! As for the loss, I think you just spent some time, and it's not a big deal."

The atmosphere froze. After a while, Molly spoke, "Those things aren't true."

The woman smiled. "Did your mother not become a mistress? Are you not an illegitimate child? Molly, I don't want to be harsh, but you're being unreasonable!"

Molly's face turned pale. She spoke with difficulty, "Those were not my choices."

She was an introverted and fragile person who had endured the worst malice in the world, but she had also found the best in Gavin. She was trying hard to prove to others that she was worthy of Gavin. She didn't want to back down and hide at home because of others' words. If she did, she wouldn't be worthy of being Gavin's wife.

Molly spoke softly, "I can accept your return, but the loss must be according to the contract! I calculate it to be $40,000, and you must pay that."

Gavin didn't step in for now. He understood Molly; he knew she was trying to prove herself. She was also a mature woman.

Their future was long, and he couldn't always keep her by his side. He let her handle it herself first.

The woman immediately shouted, "Shameless! I don't want your stuff, and you still want me to pay!"

Molly's face was pale, but she persisted. "If you don't pay, I will sue you."
