Chapter 956 Don't Love Me, Only Love My Body? 3
Lonnie and Marcella took Will away.
They had plenty of experience with kids, so Sienna wasn't worried. She was still a bit annoyed, though, and after Lonnie and Marcella left, she kicked Bruce and then got ready for bed.
Bruce frowned. "You wanna talk about it?"
Sienna's voice came from the walk-in closet as she changed into her pajamas. "Talk about what? As long as you keep your shameful desires in check, Will won't have any problems."
Bruce followed her into the closet, enjoying the view as she changed. "We've been over this. You started it."
Sienna threw her discarded clothes at his face, clearly irritated. She shouldn't have let Bruce come over, even though she had been a bit forward tonight. But he just had to keep bringing it up.
Bruce removed the dress from his face and walked over to her. He knew exactly why she was upset. They were married, after all. He gently held her chin and kissed her, his voice low and husky. "I love it when you want me. I love it when you seek me out. It shows you care about me, that you don't want anyone else, that your body only responds to me."
Sienna bit his chin.
She sneered deliberately. "Sign the divorce papers, and you'll see if I can respond to someone else. I just don't want to cheat. You're convenient, that's all."
Her words were harsh, but Bruce didn't get angry.
Between a husband and wife, this kind of bickering was normal.
He had come to realize there was no need to magnify every little conflict. A wife was meant to be cherished and indulged. No matter how big the disagreement, it could always be resolved in bed.
If one round of lovemaking wasn't enough, then two or three would do.
Bruce put this into practice, lifting her onto the bed, ready for round one, two, and three.
Sienna resisted.
She pushed against his shoulders, speaking seriously. "It's not that I don't want to. It's just that I'm not in the mood. Will got hurt, your parents rushed over, and indulging ourselves right now feels wrong. Even if our marriage has issues, even if it only has a year left, I don't want to look down on myself. Bruce, can you understand me, understand what I'm saying?"
Bruce had been messing around, but he stopped.
His gaze was intense as he looked at her. After a moment, he kissed her and rolled off.
Bruce lay beside her, breathing lightly.
After a while, he took her hand, intertwining their fingers. He spoke softly. "I understand."
He turned to look at her deeply. "We've been apart for two years. You've changed a lot, but I didn't notice. Sienna, I shouldn't look at you with the same eyes as before. You're not the same Sienna anymore. Will has brought you so much. You must have never regretted giving birth to him."
Since their reunion, he had said many sweet things.
She might have been moved.
But none of them were as touching as this. He said she had never regretted it.
Yes, she had never regretted it.
Will was not just the continuation of life; he brought her the joy of motherhood. She might not be as free as before, and sometimes it was hard, but she was happy.
Because she loved Will, loved their son.
Bruce's voice grew even softer. "Sienna, is there a part of you that's with me because of Will?"
