Chapter 125 Gifting Billions

Finnegan and Ophelia enjoyed steak and then headed to the riverside to set off fireworks.

His entire day was dedicated to Ophelia.

The surprise he'd prepared for Ophelia's birthday was quite ordinary, yet it was thoughtful.

As they sat by the river setting off fireworks, Ophelia said, "I hadn't expected you to be so romantic. I thought you would give me luxury cars, bank cards, or mansions, like the kind you see on TV shows, where they spend billions in one go."

Finnegan sat behind her, wrapping his arms around her, and whispered in her ear, "Didn't I give you billions last night?"

Ophelia's cheeks turned red in an instant.

She hadn't anticipated that Finnegan would have such a mischievously humorous side.

Last night was something else—Last night, Finnegan gave her billions of his sperms through bed time activities, several times in one night, totaling tens of billions.

"Finnegan, can't you be serious for once?" Ophelia said, torn between laughter and exasperation.

However, if Finnegan had seriously given her those things, she wouldn't have dared to accept any of them.

This simple celebration made her feel more grounded.

Going to church to pray, having steak, watching fireworks—this was the most meaningful birthday she had ever experienced.

Finnegan simply smiled without answering as Ophelia asked, "Do you really plan to keep living in my rental place?"

"Wherever you live, that's where I'll be," Finnegan declared, holding her tight as they watched the brilliant fireworks.

Ophelia knew well that he was waiting for her to agree to move back to Orchid Garden.

Just as Ophelia was about to speak up, Finnegan's phone rang.

Seeing that it was a call from the Orchid Garden's landline, Finnegan answered, "Lina, what's the matter?"

"Mr. Abbott, Miss Parks is here at the door, making a scene and demanding to see you."

Upon hearing this, Finnegan's expression immediately turned stern. "Send her away."

After hanging up the phone, Finnegan found Ophelia smirking on hearing the conversation, though she wasn't sure who "Miss Parks" could be. She teased, "A secret admirer who's followed you home?"

"Just someone not worth worrying about," Finnegan replied. "Let's head back to your apartment now. I'll give you a few billion tonight."

Ophelia playfully slapped his shoulder, chuckling, "Finnegan, you really have a death wish."

The workout the night before had been too intense, and Finnegan's back wound had reopened slightly. That evening, there was no way Ophelia would let Finnegan get carried away again.

"Life's short," he murmured against her ear. "Ready to head back?"

She could feel his impatience, and in that moment, she finally understood what he meant when he said he was just an ordinary man with desires; he wanted her.

After the first time, there would likely be countless more. As long as he wasn't tired of her, he'd want her every day.

That night, Ophelia satisfied Finnegan just once to ensure he wouldn't overdo it.

Meanwhile, Niamh, who had been sent away, arrived home in a rage, trashing her room.

Dovie came home to a mess and asked, startled, "Niamh, what happened? Tell me."

For once, Niamh didn't cry. She seemed like a changed person after a serious blow. "Mom, I want to work at your company starting tomorrow."

Dovie was surprised. "Niamh, what upset you?"

Niamh had indeed been upset. She knew people looked down on her, gossiping that she was a lightweight, with nothing to offer but her wealth.

She was determined to prove them wrong, to show that she, Niamh, was not a nobody.

She wanted to make Finnegan truly fall for her and to make everyone who underestimated her regret it.

"I want to learn business, to be like you," she said to her mother.

Dovie was overjoyed, "If you're willing to learn, I'll definitely teach you, Niamh."

Dovie had always hoped that Niamh would join the company, and now that she agreed, she was naturally thrilled.

However, she was also concerned it might just be a whim.

To her surprise, the very next morning, after breakfast, Niamh was ready to accompany her mother to the company.

Dovie thought she must be seeing the sun rise in the west.

She didn't want to crush Niamh's newfound confidence and said nothing, simply taking Niamh to the company and arranging a position for her as the planning department manager.

Dovie had a daily morning meeting routine, so once she arrived at the company, she asked Niamh to go ahead and familiarize herself with the surroundings. Niamh made a beeline for the planning department.

Ophelia happened to be in the planning department as well, and today she was in high spirits, wearing the four-leaf clover necklace given to her by Finnegan. Engrossed in drafting a plan, she was suddenly interrupted by a colleague tapping on her desk. "Ophelia, Miss Niamh has arrived."

After boss's baby, she Escape
