Chapter 303 Curiosity Killed the Cat
Ophelia came to the guest room floor and didn't see Niamh. She had lost her.
Ophelia was puzzled. Seeing a waiter walking by, she asked, "Excuse me, which guest romm is Rhodes resting in?"
"Room 306. Just there."The waiter answered.
"Thank you," Ophelia followed the door number and found her way to a room just around the corner.
Ophelia had just arrived at the door when she noticed something was wrong. Something was blocking the bottom of the door, preventing it from closing.
Ophelia pushed the door open and entered. "Rhodes?"
Rhodes lay on the bed, feeling feverish, with all her clothes unzipped.
"Ophelia." Rhodes blushed. "How did you get here?"
Ophelia asked, "What's wrong with you? Your face is so red."
"I don't know either," Rhodes said as she tugged at her clothes. "I just feel so hot. I really want to make love."
Rhodes bit her lip, and she was ashamed.
When Ophelia saw Rhodes like that, she immediately thought of the red wine the waiter had just poured for Rhodes and understood what was going on.
The door was deliberately blocked just now as someone has designed it.
Ophelia now had no time to consider whether Niamh had done it. She helped Rhodes up and said, "Let's leave this room first."
Ophelia helped Rhodes leave first and moved to the next room. Afterward, she messaged Finnegan to explain the situation.
Downstairs,Finnegan had just returned to the party when he received a message from Ophelia. He glanced at Wade beside him, walked over, and said, "I need to talk to you about something over there."
"Okay." Wade smiled, appreciating young people like Finnegan.
The two arrived at a secluded place. Finnegan said, "Rhodes was drugged, and now my wife is with her."
"What?" Wade's face changed dramatically. "Who dared to hurt her? Where is she now?"
"Room 308," Finnegan said. "They haven't harmed Rhodes yet."
Wade naturally understood Finnegan's hints. That was to say they hadn't taken the next step yet, which meant the person targeting Rhodes had yet to start.
Meanwhile, Niamh looked for a long time on the customer service department floor, but she couldn't find anyone.
She also saw the waiter Ophelia had just spoken to and approached him, asking, "Where is Rhodes resting?"
"She was in Room 306," the waiter thought it was strange that everyone kept asking.
Hearing this and thinking about the embarrassment Rhodes had just caused her, she felt particularly gratified and decided to see Rhodes in a sorry state.
Niamh found Room 306. The door was not closed, and something was blocking it from underneath.
Just now, Ophelia intentionally restored the scene to avoid alerting the person planning to harm Rhodes in advance.
Niamh approached the doorway and peeked inside through the crack, but she didn't see anyone.
Wasn't it said that Rhodes was resting in this room?
Niamh saw that no one was around, so she pushed open the door and entered. She looked around the entire room and, indeed, found no one there.
'Where did Rhodes go?'
'Isn't she in this room?' She pondered.
Just then, a man suddenly appeared behind her and embraced Niamh, saying, "Beauty, I'm here. You've been waiting for me for a long time. I'll make sure you have a great time later."
The man creepily licked Niamh's neck, then covered her mouth from behind, firmly pinning her against the wall.
The man mistook Niamh for Rhodes.
Niamh widened her eyes in fear, finding the man's licking even more disgusting.
Niamh struggled desperately.
But her strength was of no use to that man at all.
The man was very urgent, pressing her against the wall. He then directly lifted Niamh's skirt very roughly.
The serious consequences taught Niamh a lesson. Curiosity killed the cat.
Watching a commotion often led to trouble.
In the neighboring Room 308, Rhodes had started to feel better with the help of Ophelia.
The effect of medicine was not so strong, so Ophelia poured cold water on Rhodes and added ice cubes, letting her soak in the cold water first to appease her desires.
Rhodes shivered from the cold, which helped sober her up a bit. The naive girl suddenly realized, saying, "Ophelia, was I drugged? Who is trying to harm me?"
"I don't know who it was, but just now, I saw the waiter delivering wine to you acting a bit strange. I heard you were in the guest room, so I came to check on you," Ophelia asked, "Are you feeling better now? I've already had Finnegan inform your dad. Today is your birthday, and you're the star. I didn't dare to take you out hastily. Just hold on a little longer and soak a bit more."
"I'm better now." Rhodes replied.
As they were talking, Finnegan and Wade arrived.
"Rhodes." Wade strode into the bathroom and saw Rhodes, with her gown, soaking in the bathtub, feeling instantly heartbroken.
